We had a great day and...

We had a great day and blessed with perfect weather for mid September. Choices of bike, horse and cart or mini van to tour the island in a few hours available at the harbour. We enjoyed the banter by our driver/guide Tony who was very enthusiastic about the merits of this limestone based island. The trip back via Cliffs of Moher was spectacular and a lovely contrast to seeing them from above. My daughter and I enjoyed this trip immensely.

Very enjoyable tour. Gary was our driver and guide. He shared history, legends, and stories. Time spent at each stop was adequate. We stopped for lunch at a pub before noon. There are carts at the Cliffs for those who don’t want to hike uphill. Definitely recommend this tour!

Wonderful day to the Cliffs of Moher

The bus was clean and arrived on time. The driver, Mark, was a great, safe driver and guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and Irish history. The tour was have been pretty boring without him! The drive was lovely. We enjoyed learning about the areas we're driving through. The cliffs were beautiful, but shrouded in clouds for most of our time there. Unfortunately the hiking paths were closed. We really enjoyed our tour! Mark was really fantastic!

Very convenient and worth it!

Very convenient way to explore the cliffs from both the water and up on land. Horse carriage ride on the island is a must! We had a blast. One bit of advice is to bring motion sick medicine if you get that. Big waves out on the boat ride part of the tour. Very worth the money!

Fun, in spite of weather cancellation.

This was a super fun day! We happened to be on this tour on a rare day with rough seas. The ferry ride to the Aran Islands was very exciting and very well conducted by the crew. We had a lovely tour by horse and cart. The cruise to the Cliffs of Moher had to be canceled. Since we were warned in advance, no refund was given. That being said, we got extra time on top of the cliffs, not the same, but still good. The wind was impressive. Take a raincoat and rain pants.

Shane was so informative and I learned so much about my personal heritage. The Abbey itself. The struggles of the people in the area. It was eye opening for me. The way of life. The struggles the triumphs. Understanding the amazing beauty and culture. It may have been a very rainy day. He would guide you on how to best navigate the little towns the Abbey grounds and where to fund great buys.

Great tour not to be missed

We had a wonderful tour with Lally Tours, and our guide and driver, John B, was fantastic. He was prompt, kind, professional, and very knowledgeable, sharing interesting stories and insights about the local area as well as Irish culture and history throughout the day. John made the tour feel relaxed, enjoyable, and personal, and his local knowledge really added to the experience. We greatly appreciated his hospitality and would highly recommend Lally Tours—and especially John B—to anyone visiting Galway.

This was a great take on...

This was a great take on a tasting tour! It was Irish enough to check the box, but different enough that I didn’t feel anything was repetitive (ex. we didn’t have fish and chips or Guinness, which in my opinion was great since anyone coming to Ireland would have had that already). Our guide Nina was very kind and knowledgeable, and we had ample time at each stop to enjoy our food and chat.

Wonderful Tour!!

Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our driver/guide, Alan, was fantastic... gave us plenty of information but not too much. We took the horse & cart "tour" of the island - super fun. It is covered and has soft sides that can totally enclose the cart if necessary. Our driver, Eanna, was terrific! The Cliffs of Moher from the sea is a spectacular experience - a must do!! Be prepared though! 1. It's a 10 hour day 2. There's a long drive on a big bus 3. If you get motion sickness at all, take plenty of dramamine. It was not a particularly stormy day (it was rainy and windy off and on) but the 25 min boat ride to Inisheer Island was rough!! Stay outside where you can get fresh air and wind in your face 4. You only have 2 hours on the island, so choose your activities wisely!

It was an entertaining...

It was an entertaining experience, and the scenery was captivating. However, the true highlight was Jerry. On excursions like this, the scenery is usually the main attraction, while the guide’s narration plays a supporting role. With Jerry, it was the other way around. His storytelling, humor, and narration were so engaging that you could almost experience the scenery through his stories. He didn’t just describe what we were seeing—he brought it to life.

Great tour. Amazing tour guide. Very funny, friendly, competent. Connemara is the place where you'd best sit in a bus to get a good view over the countryside. Driving your own car is good and all, but it' just more enjoyable to be taken to the best places without having your eyes glued on the road. This has been my second tour through Connemara. You learn something new everytime. 10/10 recommend.
