A fun and informative evening! Our guide Sean was great! He made it interesting and told us some fun facts and memorable information. We enjoyed all the food and drinks stop, also.

Loved the tour! We learned so much about Galway and Ireland in general, while tasting some great local food and drink in multiple locations. Jason was a great guide!

What a great way to start your days in Galway! Getting some history, getting the lay of the land, experiencing the life of a local resident and tasting some excellent food and beer. Sean was a great guide and related done wonderful history and some clever jokes and anecdotes. Also gave us great ideas for drinks, trad music and restaurants. Highly recommend the tour and if you can do it early in your visit, even better.

Zoe was an amazing and highly engaging guide. We got a lovely overview of some of the history and culture of Galway. The tastings were well-selected, yummy and overall the experience was an excellent value. 12/10!

We enjoyed our afternoon learning about Galway and sampling food from the region! The Irish coffee was a nice way to conclude our tour.

I love doing walking & food tours on the first day of arriving in a new city. Galway was delightful and our guide Sean was wonderful: informative, funny, and very Irish (charming).

Come hungry! Jason was great-funny and knowledgeable. Learned about Eyre Square, JFK in Galway. Great trad music!

Seán was an amazing guide and fun, highly recommend this tour. We really enjoyed the food restaurant choices and the history of Galway. The walking was just in town, Galway is a compact city, not too much walking.

Great experience learning about Galway and tasting traditional food and spirits. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to listen to.

Nina was fabulous! We went to several different bars, and Murphys ice cream. Food and drinks were fabulous. Traditional Irish Faire.
Robert_E, Jun 2026
This was a fun 2.5 hour walking tour highlighting Galway's history as well as its traditional foods & drinks. Our tour guide Zoe was quite knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour about the area was not an overwhelming walk and I would highly recommend a very light lunch if you're planning to do the 2:00 pm tour... as the tour is essentially a 3-course meal with drinks!!! Highly recommend!

Starting point very unclear. We are given misinformation on meeting spot. Once we found the tour late .. it was very nice. Great guide and food/pub experience. This review is not a bad reflection on the tour but the sites terrible instructions. We were not alone in confusion over meeting point.

Very well paced; excellent food; interesting information. Enjoyed historical perspective. However, Viator needs to update meeting point for tour.

Our tour guide Sean was amazing. He was very knowledgeable as well as quite a comedian. Kept us entertained during the tour that’s for sure! The food was very good. Make sure you come hungry as you get a good fill!

While often times it seems food walking tours are short on food and drink, this tour was not! Our guide, Zoey (sp?), was excellent, providing some interesting history of the Galway area and was very attentive to the group's needs. I would recommend this tour.
Sean_B, May 2026
The tour felt overpriced for the experience provided. Two advertised stops — including the first and last — were skipped, and the tour lasted about 2 hours instead of the advertised 2.5. The guide was friendly, but the experience did not match what was promised.
Meghan_H, May 2026
Sean was absolutely fantastic. The tour was the perfect mix of history, storytelling, humor, and local culture. He made Galway come alive in a way that felt personal and fun rather than scripted. The pacing was great, the food and pub stops were excellent, and Sean kept the entire group engaged the whole time. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and loves sharing Galway with people. One of the highlights of our trip to Ireland — highly recommend! Perfect as a solo traveler!

Such a cool experience! James was our tour guide and he did a phenomenal job at keeping everyone engaged, giving us some really cool history of the area, and showing us some awesome spots for food and drinks (in addition to the spots we went to for food and drinks). My wife and I always try and do a walking food tour when we travel to a new country and this one held up as one of the best we've done so far. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Galway!
Tammie_C, May 2026
Nina was amazing. She knew her town and country very well. Nina seemed to really enjoy her job and that it self-made the tour more enjoyable. The food on the tour was wonderful, and the history of the town was very interesting. I would recommend the tour to anyone visiting the area first so you can better understand the history of the country.

Our tour guide Nina was great! She was so friendly and very knowledgeable. We loved trying the different foods and learning the history.

Our tour guide was Nina and she was incredible, friendly and entertaining!! Very knowledgable about Galway and took us to the best spots for traditional Irish food which was just delicious! My daughter and I had so much fun on this tour, definitely one we will never forget. This is a tour worth booking!

this is a very thorough and well presented experience. The guide was informed and prepared but also took any and all questions. Really enjoyed it

Excellent introduction into Galway history and pub culture. Sean was a consummate raconteur, lover of food, whiskey and ale, and a great companion for the afternoon. Lovely tour.
Hannah_M, Apr 2026
My sisters and I took the walking food tour and had a blast! It ended up being us and one other group of 2 and its was perfect. Our tour guide Nina was incredible! She answered all our side quest questions and was super knowledgeable about the entirety of our tour. And of course, the food! The food and drinks were fantastic and I felt like I was getting a glimpse into the food of Ireland! Would totally recommend
Patricia_F, Apr 2026
Jason was a friendly and knowledgable guide for our walking tour and food tasting in Galway. We learned a lot about Galway, Ireland, traditional Irish food and drink. The tour is concentrated mostly near Eyre Square and a few blocks of Shop Street. We were very impressed by the quality (& quantity!) of the food and drink we enjoyed. We’ll always remember how to make Irish coffee! Thanks, Jason, for a great afternoon despite the wind and rain!
Karl_R, Apr 2026
Thank you Nina! Such a cool, fun time. Love your energy, knowledge, and sense of humor. Great little stops and perfect sampling of some core Galway staples! That seafood chowder would be perfect at a high school football game "in the bleachers" 😂
