Bosco did a great job with narration and making instructions clear about returning back to the coach. However, I was not aware it was such a large coach. I feel, the larger it is, the more issues you will have. We, unfortunately, sat across from two woman who would not stop talking despite Bosco explaining to be mindful of conversation as people purchased a guided tour. He repeated the warning again to no avail. I took a smaller tour prior to this in Scotland and I feel smaller tours are right for me. More people, more opportunities for issues to arise. No mark on Bosco though, he did a superb job.
This tour was fantastic and our guide Shane made it so! His stories and wealth of knowledge about the whole region made the day fly by and gave us such a real picture of Irish history in the region. I learned so much and feel that this tour was truly one of the most memorable parts of this, our first trip to Ireland. The music he played during the trip was well curated and added to the overall feel as well. Kylemore castle gardens and the entire estate were beautiful. As per Shane’s suggestion we toured the gardens first. There is time to get a lunch there but we likely spent a bit extra time in the garden (being amateur gardeners ourselves) so getting through the castle itself didn’t leave us enough time to get to the chapel and mausoleum which was a little disappointing. However that doesn’t diminish the overall trip for me at all. Shane shared his personal connection to the castle/abbey which very much appreciated. He kept the tour on schedule and gave us a day we will never forget. Thank you Shane! Hope you are able to visit Newfoundland sometime! I think you would love it
Really fantastic trip, professionally done, everything went really smooth. Shane was an excellent driver and guide, he told a lot of really fascinating stories about Irish history and the Connemara region and the landscape was spectacular. We got extra time at Kylemore Abbey since everyone got to the bus on time which was really helpful since it takes a bit of time to get to the gardens and back. Leenaun was a very picturesque stop and the bonus stop was a blast! Would definitely recommend this tour with Shane.
Shane was a great tour guide. Appreciate his history, insights and advice. Start with Garden, Abby then church. I would have liked more time to walk the lake if it hadn't been raining.
This felt more like a shuttle with an occasional chime in from the driver. He was kind but most of the drive was spent in silence. Stops felt random—basically just bathroom breaks with one being at a gas station. 2 hours isn’t nearly enough time at the kylemore abbey, we were rushing through trying to see the highlights and didn’t have time for lunch. The abbey was absolutely mobbed with people so lines were long. It was beautiful, just wish we had more time. Definitely bring your own lunch to avoid the lines and know that everything on the grounds is really spaced out so you’ll spend a fair bit of time walking or taking the shuttle between. The driver told us 2:20 to be back at the bus and was driving away at 2:15. Scenery was beautiful at least!
Gerry was great! Very knowledgeable about all things Ireland. Even though it rained and our trip was delayed we still pivoted and made it a great experience. The giant stone at the end of the castle was also a must see to make a wish
My friends and I were on Holiday in Galway, and decided to book two trips with Lally Tours via the Viator app. Luckily, both times we got Shane as our Tour Guide, and he was incredible! The scenery was beautiful, the rides were easy, and the education was like none other. 10/10 would book again

Neal was an absolutely wonderful tour guide. It almost felt more like a pub crawl with a good story teller than a tour. So much better than we imagined. Please give this man a raise!
This was one of the highlights of our trip. Kylemore Abbey was breathtaking and we had plenty of time to explore. The drive was scenic and Gerry was an amazing tour guide -- we learned so much about the region throughout the day.

This was a great tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. They gave us plenty of time at the various stops to stretch our legs. Take pictures have something to eat. The scenery is beautiful. It’s a great way to get out into the countryside and out of the city for a day.

It was a fun tour where we got to see a lot in a day. I especially liked our driver/guide who was very funny and informative (we did the tour on the 12th of august).
We had the best time with Shane on this tour! He was incredibly knowledgeable about Irish History and funny as well. He surprised us with an extra stop where we got to feed some sheep! He also gave us extra time at kylemore abbey which is very much needed in my opinion because there is so much to see there. He is very attentive to passenger questions and ensures nobody is left behind. We had him for the cliffs of moher tour as well and he was just as amazing as on this one. Would give him the biggest recommendation! If you are choosing between this one and cliffs of moher, would suggest this one if you like more mountains and remote areas!
Wonderful Day trip. Our Guide Shane was excellent. Would love to see the Abby on a beautiful sunny day but we all know those are far and few between in Ireland.

Brian was our driver on this tour. He was funny and informative. He was also kind, understanding, and helpful with my son who was feeling a little car sick on the roads. The Abbey and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the stops along the way as well.
Shane gave us a thorough Irish history lesson. From the beginning with the Hawthorn Fairies through the famine and civil war. Better than reading a book! Well spoken and engaging.
Connemara is beautiful. It is the star of the tour. You get a choice to see Kylemore Abbey or the national park. The Abbey was pretty cool, and probably a good choice in bad weather. There is a place to eat at the Abbey, but bringing your lunch is a good call. Shane was a knowledgeable and humorous guide. He adjusted the itinerary a bit to allow for more time at the Abbey, which was practical, but I might rather spend it seeing the Fijord (which was on the itinerary but got cut out). The last stop for shopping is unnecessary and seems like a throwaway. I would rather the tour be 20 minutes shorter and skip the last stop, or use that extra time for the Abbey and not skip the Fijord.
This was an amazing tour/day! Seamus was our guide and he was wonderful. Everything was so well planned and executed. And Seamus was kind, knowledgable, and funny. Our trip included my husband, our two daughters (ages 12 and 9), my husband’s parents, and me. All 6 of us really enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend! (And thank you, Seamus, for a great day!)
This is a great way to get out of the city and see the countryside. The mountains were spectacular and it doesn’t get much more Irish than waiting for sheep to get out of the road. Seamus was a fabulous tour guide as well offering up plenty of history and context with plenty of hilarious commentary. Will definitely do it again.
