Stunning!

Amazing experience! I recommend getting the horse and carriage on the island to see the shipwreck, then doing the castle. Should still give you enough time for lunch. For the cliffs, definitely ride on the top deck of the boat. You'll get wet, but its well worth it for the views! The guide was great, very knowledgeable. We saw 4 or 5 castles from the bus just driving to and from the attractions!

One of the best tours to take from Galway

Torch’s was out driver and tour guide for this amazing experience and she was wonderful. This is an all day trip and is so worth it. Kylemore Abbey and the gardens was so beautiful, as was the drive through the mountains and fjord. But the highlight was the Joyce sheepdog farm with lambs and puppies. Then we stoped in Cong to see where the movie The Quiet Man took place. It’s a long day but I can’t recommend this tour enough. And definitely ask for Sorcha. She is a fabulous driver and wonderful tour guide. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Ireland!

Five stars: Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and the Wild Atlantic Way made for a wonderful day from Galway We had a terrific experience on the Connemara, Kylemore Abbey and Wild Atlantic Way tour from Galway on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Our tour guide and mini-coach driver, Mike, did a great job from start to finish. Mike had the right balance of narration, local stories, humor, photo stops and coffee stops before and after the featured attractions. He also navigated the narrow roads like a pro, which made the long day feel easy and enjoyable. The mini-motor coach was first class and very comfortable. We opted for Kylemore Abbey rather than Connemara National Park, and three hours was the perfect amount of time. We were able to visit the gardens, then the abbey, and then the chapel without feeling rushed. Kylemore Abbey was a surprise and delight. While this is a long day, the scenery, sightseeing, stops and Mike’s narration made it very enjoyable. The weather was also great for our tour, which made the Wild Atlantic Way and Connemara landscapes even more memorable. One note, similar to what a previous reviewer mentioned: the tour name might be clearer as “Connemara or Kylemore Abbey and Wild Atlantic Way tour from Galway” so travelers understand that the main stop is a choice between Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey, not both. Overall, five stars. A beautiful, well-run day trip from Galway.

A private tour worth the splurge

ABSOLUTELY recommend this tour. Our driver, Bogdan, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Stops were well timed and never felt rushed. Sheepdog add-on is absolutely worth it. Don’t skip the beef stew at the pub lunch stop on Doolin! A safe driver and comfortable vehicle. If you aren’t renting a car, a private tour is worth the splurge and the pricing with this vendor is extremely competitive.

Visit the National Park and Hike if you Like Nature

Mike was awesome! Highly recommend visiting Connemara National Park and doing the hike. If you hike quickly, you can summit a large hill/small mountain, and if you don't prefer to hike or you walk slower, there is a 1 hr round-trip walk you can take that is much more mild! 10/10 would recommend the national Park of you enjoy nature. I could have skipped Kylemore Abbey and been fine. The outside is pretty, but inside it has been renovated, so it doesn't hold the same architectural charm on the inside. It's more of a museum.

Wonderful tour with spectacular scenery-don’t miss it!

The Cliffs of Moher are not to be missed. They are spectacular! I was worried about all the steps and steep incline because of a medical condition but they have people who will take you to the top using a golf cart. We had a charming bus tour guide named Tommy and he made sure everything went smoothly. Our late lunch was the best meal I’ve had in my entire time in Ireland.

We loved the tour with...

We loved the tour with Mike! Kylemore abbey was amazing even if the gothic chapel was under construction. We really loved the Victorian walled garden too. Only complaint (not mikes fault) is that there were several people talking during the tour so sometimes was difficult to hear Mike.

Excellent and would recommend!

We had an excellent day on this tour. The bus was comfortable and the guide was wonderful. We made several spots and had an appropriate amount of time at each spot. Alan, our guide, was an excellent story teller and we appreciated his style of sharing Irish history and giving context while we drove around. Plenty of bathroom breaks, a wonderful spot for coffee/tea, and a nice lunch break made for a very comfortable trip.

Wonderful experience

We loved visiting the cliffs from the sea. Very different perspective. Gerry our driver was absolutely wonderful. Told great stories and jokes. Sang us some songs and told us lots of history. I was there with 3 of my sisters and one brother. My brother had never been to Ireland before so it was a novel experience for him. My sisters and I have been to Ireland many times but this was a very good experience for us. Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

Beautiful Day in the Connemara National Park

Our family enjoyed the half day trip to the Connamara National Park with our private driver DC (Sorin). We appreciated how he was able to customize our adventures that suited our interests; from stopping to feed the sheep to driving through Connemara National Park and especially visiting the beautiful Kylemore Abbey. We wished we would have booked a whole day tour with DC. There was just not enough time to hike to the top of Diamond Hill. DC was very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas we visited and also courteous, polite, personable and witty. We would highly recommend his tour to any families or groups of friends looking to enjoy the Ireland landmarks and local culture.
