We are a local Finnish family business, the guides grew up riding these forests, and out here there is usually no one else in sight. This is a ride for adults, and it goes deep into the backcountry. From the base twenty minutes north of Rovaniemi we head into snowy forest, frozen lakes and open hills, on narrower trails with gentle climbs and an active pace. The group stays small, usually four to six snowmobiles. We time the tour for the Arctic afternoon light, when the low sun turns the whole short winter day into a long sunset in soft blues, pinks and oranges.

The ski trekking + auroras combo is also a nice alternative to our famous Northern Lights Photography Hunting Experience from Rovaniemi , especially when the weather conditions are less promising: in case of snowfalls, you still get a memorable adventure into arctic wilderness! The experience is adapted to all levels, including beginners.

We dive into Arctic forest and ski through some beautiful locations to experience and photograph the Northern Lights and surrounding nature in night time. The forest presents a whole different side of natural beauty in the dark of the night. We use specialist skis that can take us through the deep snow and untouched terrain of Lapland. Using only headlamps, we get enough light to ski through the forest and to reach the spots in the middle of the nocturnal nature. The adventure starts from our office where we equip the team with proper gear and clothing. Then we will drive to our location in the forest and get ready to enter the woods. Once we leave the minivan, we make an equipment check and set all the cameras to be ready for night photography. Northern Lights are always unpredictable and there is no guarantee that they will appear during the tour. Our main focus during the night is in exploring and experiencing nature locations which are reachable only with backcountry skis.

Experience the snowy woods and the frozen Gulf of Finland. Our experienced guides will lead you to the amazing winter wonderland. Located about 30 km east of Helsinki, the snowmobile base will be reached with provided transport. Two adults ride on one snowmobile. Our guide will meet you the Helsinki Cathedral (Senate Square) and drive you to the snowmobile center. When you arrive to the snowmobile base you will be provided with a warm snowsuit, boots, gloves, balaclava and helmet. A short safety briefing and driving instructions is then given to you. You will set off in a convoy led by the guide. Time spent out on the snowmobile tour approximately 3 hours. After the snowmobile tour you will have a lot of time to discover the archipelago on your own. The sauna will also be heated for you at your own schedule. This experience will give you a memory for life. Departure back to town the next day at 12.30. If you want to leave earlier we can organize a taxi for you.

A super fun adventure for kids, this Pyha-Luosto National Park Kids' Ice Climbing Experience lets your child learn the basics of ice climbing under the safe supervision of an instructor. Plus, the use of climbing gear is included so you don’t have to buy it for them for their first try. After their time on the ice, a cute diploma is given to them.
