We offer shared tours (of up to 6 guests) in high-caliber, adventure -off-roading vehicles such as a Toyota Land Cruisers or Land Rover Discoverys. The tour includes off-road elements and a short walk up and down the sand dunes. It is suitable for most guests but please let us know via message if you have any fitness concerns, or specific requirements. Visit gentoo penguins on a pristine beach during our 5-hour tour. A bit over an hour’s drive from Stanley, Bertha’s Beach will welcome us with its white sands and crystal clear water. The area has been recognized as a wetland site of international importance under the Ramsar Convention. Bertha herself was a ship that didn’t make it, and got wrecked by the shore, losing its precious cargo – planks of cedar wood, scattered on the beach to this day (you will notice there are almost no trees in the Falklands). We will visit the colony of Gentoo penguins - noisy, but fascinating creatures. Lunch on the beach or in the car, your choice, might be a bit windy there. Afterwards we will travel back to Yorke Bay and Gypsy Cove to see even more penguins on the dunes or in burrows(if we are lucky).
