Wonderful day with Andre
Andre was wonderful! We learned so much in this private walking tour. He made sure we were near the castle at 1 since my daughter wanted to hear and see the cannon. He showed us the clock that has all the different things in it. He made 6 hours go by quickly

Loved Every Second of This Tour of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle
Just enough history laced with architecture and whimsy thrown on top. Our wee family was delighted to hear stories and envision the past with our amazing 10/10 majestic-unicorns tour guide, Mally. If you’re lucky enough to coorie into an Edinburgh close for Mally’s enthusiastic history tales, you’ve done yourselves a real favor.

Best Way To Get Introduced To Edinburgh
This tour was the perfect way to see all the highlights of Edinburgh. Sarah was a fantastic guide and was a wealth of knowledge. She also suggested many vegan restaurants for us and fun shopping areas. Book this today, you won’t be disappointed. Make sure to get Sarah if you can, she was absolutely amazing!!!

Exceptional experience!
Taimur was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area. More importantly though, he tailored the experience to what our family (with small children) needed. Our children get motion sickness, so he came prepared with bags and wipes. When the highland roads became too windy for them, he modified his tour to accommodate their needs. When the kids’ batteries ran out, he brought us back to the hotel early while still pointing out the important landmarks along the way. We felt as though we were able to make the most of the experience despite the motion sickness, rain, and dwindling social batteries of our children. Highly recommend for a tailored Scottish highlands experience!

3 Highland Experience Tour Review
I took 3 Highland Experience Tours...Loch Ness et al tour, Glenfinnan Viaduct et al tour, and this one. By far, the BEST of the three. Do not miss!! Loch Ness was ok but only if you take the cruise which is extra and just get the book for Glenfinnan. Both Loch Ness and Glenfinnan uses predominantly the same route so no need to do both.
But this one, an absolute MUST! Audrey for Loch Ness and Kenny for this one were Superb!!

The Travel Gang gives it 10 Stars!
Robbie did a fabulous job and gave good guidance on the best way to use our time and we saw everything on our list, plus a few bonus things.
Robbie shared so much about the history of Scotland and the Highlands area.
We saw several larger tours while we were on our tour and for sure, a private tour was the way to go.
All six of us highly recommend this tour.

One of the BEST days of my life.
We traveled to Scotland from the America last month (over New Years). My 3 friends and I did the private Highlands tour with Taimur as a tour guide/driver. The tour itself was great but Taimur made the trip incredible. We saw so many amazing places (Luss being our favorite)—it was totally comfortable and relaxing but also stimulating thanks to Taimur. We would go from beautiful place to beautiful place at our own pace, and Taimur had wonderful stories and insights at every stop. When we wanted to be quiet and just soak it in, we could. But when we wanted to learn and absorb information, Taimur was there to tell us stories and answer any and every question.
Many of the highlights weren’t even the sites themselves, but instead the conversation and funny banter we had with Taimur on the longer parts of the drive.
As Americans, we came to Scotland without much context and knowledge, but we left with what feels like a true and deep understanding of Edinburgh, Glasgow, the highlands and Scotland itself. 5 out of 5 stars for the tour— 10 out of 5 stars for Taimur. My brother is going to Scotland with his family this Summer and I told him this trip with Taimur is absolutely mandatory. (Not to mention my fiancée and I are literally planning a summer Scotland trip for next year so we can do the tour with Taimur again and bring our daughter this time.)

We had an exceptional...
We had an exceptional experience with David! He worked to ensure the tour was targeted to the things we wanted to see and spent ample time at each stop explaining the history and significance with our two teenage boys. I would highly recommend a tour!

Day Trip to St Andrews with Ed
Ed nailed it !!! For starters his car is awesome, clean, and roomy. Our drive up and back was well narrated by Ed. He has a wealth of knowledge. We made a few stops on the way up which was appreciated. One of the stops was a quaint fishing village. Ed took us on a walking tour of the town of St Andrews. Again, great intel. We really enjoyed the town. We initially arrived at the Old Course. Ed can also take great pictures. We have great photos of my wife and I on the Swilcan Bridge. We had lunch at the Old Tom Morris grill. I would definitely recommend. If you want swag at the pro shop be prepared for the prices. Not cheap. Ed had great knowledge of the Old Course and its history. Next we were off to the town of Falkland and the Falkland Palace. This was a very nice stop. The scenery on our ride was stunning and beautiful. Takes your breath away. Prior to our trip we had no set itinerary except the Old Course and lunch. We asked Ed to carve out an itinerary for us based on our wishes and he nailed it. I would highly recommend this trip and you hire Ed. You will not be disappointed and it is worth every penny. Superb day and thank you Ed!

Edinburgh, hop on hop off bus tour
I thoroughly enjoyed the hop on hop off experience in the city of Edinburgh. It was a great way to get the lay of the land and to see the whole city. I went around all stops before getting off just to see everything first. I would highly recommend this tour option for anyone visiting Edinburgh for the first time.
I was challenged finding where to catch the hop on and hop off, so it’s best to ask a local or a hotel concierge as there are many different stops in different locations

Easy intro to Edinburgh
This was the perfect introduction to Edinburgh. Our guide was Doug Scott, a local resident, who walked us around the city to see the highlights. He gave us a bit of history, a bit of humor, and some great suggestions for what to see after our time together. He went at our pace and answered our questions. Not only did we get the historical side of things, we also got a local's view of the new monarch, political climate, and his feelings for his town in general.

Less is sometimes more!
I booked a 3-hour tour and ended up with a 4.5 hour tour! While our guide was extremely thorough, the level of detail was lost on us once hunger for lunch set in. When we advised the guide that we had another activity planned at 3:00 he simply spoke faster.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
When you’re visiting Edinburgh for the first time, trying to cover the centuries of history that have shaped Scotland's capital can feel daunting. Instead of relying on your phone or guidebook, delve deeper into the city's heritage on an Edinburgh private sightseeing tour. You'll experience the city through the eyes of a local, either by walking or driving, and can tailor your tour to include local food tasting or even cover filming locations on a Harry Potter-themed tour.
