Learn the basics of scuba diving under the watchful eye of your guide on this introductory course departing from Tamarindo. Begin at TamaDive Tamarindo Diving Center, then enjoy two dives at different sites with a break in between, using the scuba equipment provided so you don't have to worry about a thing. Experience scuba diving without a certification while in Costa Rica. This excursion includes a theory session, practice time with an instructor, and two dives at the Catalina Islands, known as some of the best scuba diving spots in Costa Rica. Choose between a 1- or 2-day option where you’ll be able to practice in a pool the day before heading out on the boat.

This Catalina Islands tour offers a day of relaxation out on the water and the chance to see dolphins, turtles, and more in the wild. Sail from Tamarindo or Langosta to two diving spots known for aquatic life like manta rays and tropical fish, and use the included good-quality diving equipment to explore underwater. This scuba refresher course is designed for certified divers to regain their confidence and skills after some time away from the water. Begin with a dive theory review and equipment assembly, then practice key skills like mask clearing in confined waters before two dives in Pacific waters—all in small groups of up to four for focused attention and efficient learning.

Get into the waters of Drake Bay and scuba dive around Cano Island in the biological reserve. You’ll be with a small group, max 6, and your divemaster will prepare you for your first dive into the coral and rock formations. You'll be surrounded by turtles, sharks, seahorses, rays, and more. You'll have another dive in a different location, then get to Playa San Josecito for a beer on the beach and lunch in a restaurant.
