Since 2019, we are the first to offer Vernazza an experience dedicated to preparing pesto in the mortar, combining cooking, territory, conviviality, and tasting. You will learn to prepare pesto by hand, using selected ingredients. The experience takes place in a typical Cinque Terre cellar, with stone and wood, reminiscent of the atmosphere of old Vernazza. 12:30 - PESTO CLASS We will start with wine, focaccia, cheeses, and extra virgin olive oils. You will prepare your pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. The pesto will then be used to dress the gnocchi which you will eat with a third wine. We will conclude with limoncello and chocolate. 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM – PESTO SNACK CLASS After a taste of wine, you will prepare the pesto in the mortar while tasting a second wine. We will accompany it with focaccia, cheeses, oils, and a third wine. Finally, a real little shoe with bread and focaccia directly in the mortar! If you want the class in French, communicate it at the time of the reservation.

The Cinque Terre offer countless little-known trails rich in history and ancient traditions; thanks to the use of high-performance e-bikes and the words of local guides, you can immerse yourself in beautiful, intimate landscapes and admire the view from a fascinating perspective: a 360-degree view from above, skirting centuries-old terraces, rows of vineyards, olive groves and small villages nestled between inaccessible hills; we will cycle in a part of the "wine trail" to discover closely how these places rich in history and set in the Mediterranean scrub have marked the history of the Cinque Terre. You can then relax on the terrace of the Agriturismo with sea view and enjoy a cutting board full of local products and a glass of Cinque Terre wine. Sessions begin daily at 12:30 PM and include a warm family welcome, with an introduction to the region’s rugged terroir, traditional winemaking methods, and the history of Cinque Terre wines. Enjoy a curated tasting flight featuring two local Cinque Terre white wines, a delicate Cinque Terre wine, regional red, and the renowned sweet Sciacchetrà, all paired with freshly prepared Ligurian dishes such as focaccia, anchovies, fried cod fritters, polenta fries, and seasonal favourites, made daily using organic or local ingredients. You’ll also receive food-pairing guidance in a relaxed setting, followed by a Q&A wrap-up and time to enjoy sea views or explore Monterosso al Mare. Take a walk on one of the lesser-known but most fascinating trails of the Cinque Terre. After a quick but engaging visit to the town of Vernazza, we will start climbing along the fascinating mule track towards the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Reggio (about 1 hour) at an altitude of 330 meters. During the climb, we will admire beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast with its characteristic terraces supported by kilometers of dry-stone walls, where olives and grapes are cultivated to produce prestigious wines. In front of the shaded Sanctuary Square stands a monumental cypress (the oldest in Liguria!) and a majestic leccio. Before going down, we will visit the fascinating olive grove of Azienda Agricola la Bottega, where Ligure DOP extra virgin olive oil is produced.
