The experience was wonderful! Ed was a great guide- very knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up in front of our hotel and delivered us back there at the end of the day. With Ed in charge, it was so easy to sit back and relax and enjoy the time with family and beautiful scenery! Highly recommend this tour!

We enjoyed this historical trip very much. Our driver and tour guide Ed was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of historical facts. He was so nice and accommodating. It was a no rush trip, we had lots of time to appreciate the castles, scenery and history.Thank you Ed for a memorable time!

Great custom tour from Edinburgh
Ed is a very knowledgable and courteous guide. We enjoyed spending the day with him and seeing all the sights. Ed was great about customizing our tour so it fit our interests and activity level. We would look to book with him again if we go back to Edinburgh. We highly recommend a private tour with Ed Tours if you are in the Edinburgh area!

Linlithgow Palace
  • The photogenic ruins of Linlithgow Palace are a must-see for royal enthusiasts and history buffs.

  • Bring a camera to capture the views of Linlithgow Peel and Linlithgow Loch, both of which are visible from the top of Queen Margaret’s Bower.

  • Much of Linlithgow is roofless. Bring rain gear to keep the weather at bay.

  • The ticket office, shop, and courtyard (where the King’s Fountain is located), with level though somewhat uneven cobbled surfaces, are accessible to wheelchair users.
