Tours and Tickets to Experience Sumilon Island

This private tour is really amazing for small groups/solo travellers. Although it was a long drive, my driver was amazing. It is definitely a packed day.

The tour was well planned and scheduled. The guides and drivers met us promptly and make all connections to each activity pretty seamless. We were told to set off an hour earlier than what was original 4am to secure an early queue number for the whale shark experience . The drive to Oslob from Cebu city took about just under 3 hours. We arrived to get a less than 200 queue number and proceeded to have a light breakfast. After breakfast we were arrange to visit Sumilon island for some beach swimming which was part of the tour itinerary while waiting for our queue. While on sumilon island we were offered the option to have a guide(500peso) for snorkelling with fee for the mask and snorkels(100peso each). At the whale shark viewing, we were again asked to rent mask and snorkels( 200peso each) which we thought was already included as part of the tour package, but some how wasn’t. Aside from this mismatch of the tour provision , all other scheduling was well done and we had an enjoyable day around the island and the tour.

Angelo was an efficient driver and got us to our locations on time. He was very patient with us as we kept having to reach into the trunk for our items. Paula was a great tour guide for our early morning whale shark tour. She got us registered and out for breakfast quickly. It's was stressful because of the time sensitivity of getting into the registration for the whale shark tour, but she got us through. She even helped us with buying a rash guard since one of us didn't have one. Paula did a great job leading us around the tour. We ended up having our own private driver to all the sites. Note that the snorkel gear on the last part was one size only so if you are small like I am, I recommend bringing your own if you have one. It was hard to snorkel in their worn down equipment. Also bring your own water bottle that can be kept on the boat. Otherwise, it was a great full day experience. The guides were all nice and helpful. We got the GoPro rental and it's worth it. The guides will get the angles that we couldn't get because we were wearing life vests.

Our tour of Cebu with Edna and Richard was absolutely outstanding. The day was incredibly action-packed yet impressively well organized, even over 16+ hours. From the unforgettable whale shark encounter to the sardine run, Tumalog Falls, and Pescador Island, everything flowed seamlessly. Edna was super helpful, especially during the first portion of the trip, making logistics effortless and keeping us informed, comfortable, and on schedule. Richard’s driving was fantastic—safe, smooth, and confident throughout a very long day on the road. Their teamwork truly made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this tour and this amazing duo!

Our trip to Cebu was truly unforgettable. We started the day by swimming with whale sharks, an absolutely magical and once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being so close to these majestic creatures left us speechless. After that, we went snorkeling in stunning turquoise waters full of vibrant marine life. It was amazing to see so many colorful fish and healthy coral reefs. To end the day, we visited a breathtaking waterfall, surrounded by nature — a perfect place to unwind and soak it all in. We want to give a special thank you to Leila, our guide, for her wonderful company, kindness, and positive energy. She made everything feel smooth, safe, and enjoyable. We highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting the Philippines!

Experience was all around great! Our guide, Lindy, in Oslob was fantastic and excellent with my kids. She was super helpful and all around perfect! In Moalboal it was more difficult but still a lot of fun. We didn’t have a guide meet us off our transfer and had to figure things out on our own. Our boat guide didn’t understand much English but was still helpful and took lots of our pictures for us. Pescador Island was less than impressive and snorkeling that only brought us a few fish. The sardine run was a life experience we will never forget but the sea turtle experience was not great. There was one turtle near the shore and about 50 people surrounding it and it could t swim away. Still, would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to check off some bucket list items!

The driver who collected us, Michael, was amazing. We felt safe with him and knew that our belongings were being looked after securely when we were away from the car. He made sure that we knew where to go, and was always waiting for us at the end of each activities. The guy at the whale shark Centre was also brilliant, making sure that we knew what was going on and where we needed to be. Our only advice would be to avoid Sundays. The whale sharks were so gentle, the waterfalls were beautiful and the sandbar was stunning. A long day, really good value for money would highly recommend!

If you’re wondering if you should book this tour, this is your sign!!! My partner and our friends had the best time. We saw multiple whale sharks in very close proximity and it was a breathtaking sight. We also swam with sardines and 2 turtles, and our boat kuyas made sure everyone got epic underwater pics. Our guide Glaiza was so sharp and took THE MOST AMAZING pictures of our group at the waterfall. The drive IS long so kudos to our driver Raffi for safely getting us around. I would recommend bringing 2 pairs of swimsuits (change before the drive from Oslob to Malboal), a neck pillow (if you plan on napping), toiletries (shampoo, soap, brush for the last shower before the ride home), and an extra set of clothes. GoPro photography is extra cost but sooooo worth it!
