Great Tour, Even Better Cheesecake
This was so unexpected. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Philippines and it came through beautifully. The surprise was the House of Lechon. The food was amazing. The portal was great but if you have a sweet tooth get the cheesecake. WOW!!!!

The tour was well planned...
The tour was well planned and scheduled. The guides and drivers met us promptly and make all connections to each activity pretty seamless. We were told to set off an hour earlier than what was original 4am to secure an early queue number for the whale shark experience . The drive to Oslob from Cebu city took about just under 3 hours. We arrived to get a less than 200 queue number and proceeded to have a light breakfast. After breakfast we were arrange to visit Sumilon island for some beach swimming which was part of the tour itinerary while waiting for our queue. While on sumilon island we were offered the option to have a guide(500peso) for snorkelling with fee for the mask and snorkels(100peso each). At the whale shark viewing, we were again asked to rent mask and snorkels( 200peso each) which we thought was already included as part of the tour package, but some how wasn’t. Aside from this mismatch of the tour provision , all other scheduling was well done and we had an enjoyable day around the island and the tour.

Epic adventure and must do unique experience!
Oh wow! Packed day full of exploration and memories made. Yes, we started at 3am with a long 2 hr car ride to Oslob and check into Whale Shark experience. Since we were number 150’s we went for light breakfast and to Tumalog Waterfalls, which opened at 7am. We were one of the first to get into waterfalls so was able to enjoy before massive student tour groups came. Visually stunning waterfalls! It was freezing cold water though. There’s a small pool with fish that will eat your dead skin on foot. When it was our turn for Whale Shark experience we used our own snorkel mask and had such a fun time watching a guide feed shrimp as the massive whale sharks swam by us. Such a cool spectacle. No, you cannot touch or get too close but we were close enough to soak in their beauty! Time goes by fast and you only have 30-45 mins to view whale sharks so get your cameras ready! After this, we bought a refreshing mango graham cracker smoothie and had a nice lunch. Teah was our guide for the morning half and she was wonderful! The second half was another 2 hour drive away to canyoneering in Badian that ends at Kawasan Falls. Jemrex and Berto were our awesome guides who took us through an epic adventure safely! Starting with zip line to maneuvering through the rocks and river that was blue cool waters. Sliding, jumping, swinging, swimming and floating adventure paradise! Jemrex carefully used my phone and captured incredible video footage and photos the entire time. We are glad we chose private tour bc we were able to navigate in front of large groups much faster. My brother and I had a blast and the long road trip was well worth the memories and experience. Huge thanks to our guides and driver for an epic adventure!

Kawasan Falls was a definite win!
Kawasan Falls was incredible! Splurge on the private tour option, because the McRich Canyoneering guides made it a spectacular experience. Our team were a load of fun, knowledgeable and environmentally aware, had their eye on safety at all times, and even photographed our entire trek. On-site, opt for the zip line, do all of the swings, and enjoy the BBQ hut break stops. You’ll want sturdy soles on your water shoes for all of the rock scrambling; our trail running shoes did just fine, totally soaked. You’ll get to do 5m jumps into the pools, or go big with the 7m leaps. The Oslob Whale Watch was thrilling to see these gentle giants, yet with environmentally conflicting thoughts as you know these sharks are being fed to endure the crowds. Be prepared for about 3-4hr wait for the 30min experience. So use that time to enjoy a good breakfast and shop a bit. The transfer to the falls takes another couple hours and you’ll be greeted with a fine Filipino lunch before the canyoneering trek. Or, enjoy that lunch at the end of the trek, as we did with the timing flexibility of our private tour.
