Top Cebu Day Trips

It's a very long day first of all. The ferry ride from Cebu was 2 hours each way. The there were a few 20 min to 1.5 hour van rides. The countryside of Bohol was beautiful and the island is much cleaner than other areas we have visited in the Philippines. Our tour guide, Ronald, was awesome. He spoke perfect English and was very informative and funny. He has a great sense of humor and lots of information regarding Bohol. This trip is definitely worth the trip and expense if you want a general overview of Bohol. Also the river trip was really fun, had a great entertainer singing, and the food was terrific!!

This was an amazing experience to have for my birthday! The tour did start off rocky, as the driver who picked us up (at 3am!) was a substitute driver and had very limited information from the tour company. After surviving (and I mean literally) the bumpy, narrow, dark and dangerous road there (for 3 hrs) we had to wait 4hrs for a chance to see the whale sharks. Mind you, we got no updates or information during these 4hrs, so we were actually unsure if we would see them. However, after the very, very difficult start of the tour day, we got to swim right next to the whale sharks and be recorded under water. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience that was worth the dangerous drive over and the long wait! Then, after that, we went to the other side of the island (1.5 hr drive), had lunch and went canyoneering! We had no idea what canyoneering was, but found out it was a 3-4 hr tour in the jungle where you could zip line (if you wanted), jump from waterfalls (again, if you wanted) and swim around in the river inside a canyon. This experience was the best part, in my opinion. The natural beauty of the areas was far superior to any area I’ve seen before (even in Hawaii). I absolutely loved this part and our tour guides (one per person) were both amazing. They helped guide us around and carried our belongings above their head the whole time so they wouldn’t get wet! It was a very physical several hours though, so be aware, bring swim attire and I would recommend you bring your own wet shoes as the ones provided will rub your feet raw. Overall, even though our trip started really rough, with the crazy drive and long wait. It was well worth it and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Loved it!

Angelo was an efficient driver and got us to our locations on time. He was very patient with us as we kept having to reach into the trunk for our items. Paula was a great tour guide for our early morning whale shark tour. She got us registered and out for breakfast quickly. It's was stressful because of the time sensitivity of getting into the registration for the whale shark tour, but she got us through. She even helped us with buying a rash guard since one of us didn't have one. Paula did a great job leading us around the tour. We ended up having our own private driver to all the sites. Note that the snorkel gear on the last part was one size only so if you are small like I am, I recommend bringing your own if you have one. It was hard to snorkel in their worn down equipment. Also bring your own water bottle that can be kept on the boat. Otherwise, it was a great full day experience. The guides were all nice and helpful. We got the GoPro rental and it's worth it. The guides will get the angles that we couldn't get because we were wearing life vests.

Such a great tour! Touched on all the highlights of Cebu. The car was very nice and the driver kept us safe the entire time. Bobby was a great guide and took all the photos for us but also let us have our time alone to explore. We ended the trip with a great dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant which was a great surprise. Well worth the trip!

The experience was spellbound. We saw the whale shark from very near. We were inside water as the whale shark pass by us. The boat men are extremely good to make us see the whale shark from so near. The whale shark is harmless it is as big as two three human beings. Sardines run and turtle watching is full very much worthy. People conducting the sardines run are extremely good swimmers and they are doing it very professionally. It is lifetime experience. We have seen turtles and sardines a other fishes so close that we can almost touch them although we did not touch them as it is prohibited. And last but not the least Our driver cum tour guide Nino was extremely good and fun loving guy. He is a very polite, fun loving and humble gentleman who made our entire activity very swift and enjoyable. He took good good care of us and did all possible things to make the entire activity effortless. Loads of thanks to Nino. We wish him all the very best in life and hope to meet him again in life.

Picked up from hotel by driver Leo who was great and easy to talk to as it was a 3 hour+ drive. Canyoneering was amazing and so was the your guide Junya who was there if i needed any assistance and took videos and photos for me throughout the whole experience. Lunch at the end was tasty and got served fried chicken, pork spring rolls, rice, a noodle dish and mangos. No complaints and it was a memorable experience.

Well organized. Abam our driver was fantastic! This was a whole day trip and we felt very safe with his driving. Lyza our tour guide was amazing! She’s the friendliest tour guide! She knows the ins and outs, and knows everyone. She plans accordingly and made sure she’s not wasting your time waiting. Highly recommend Abam and lyza if you choose this tour.
