What are people saying about Cebu

Adventure of a Lifetime!
Our family’s canyoneering trip in Cebu was the adventure of a lifetime. From start to finish, it was pure exhilaration and joy. We kicked things off with a thrilling zipline ride to the starting point, which set the tone for an epic day. My husband, daughter, and I leapt off cliffs into refreshingly cold, crystal-blue water—each jump more exciting than the last. We swam behind cascading waterfalls, floated through emerald pools, and followed a stunning canyon route that felt straight out of a dream.
What made it truly exceptional were our guides—Gimuel, Arnel L., Jesson Marie, and Riven. They were professional, patient, and so much fun—keeping us safe while encouraging us to try new things and capturing great photos along the way. Their knowledge of the area and genuine enthusiasm elevated the whole experience.
We made memories we’ll never forget and left with huge smiles and happy tired legs. If you’re visiting Cebu and considering canyoneering, do it—you won’t regret it. Unforgettable, breathtaking, and worth every second!

An unforgettable way to spend the 4th of July!
I couldn’t have picked a better day for this tour (Thank you God 🙏🏽💗). Even though it’s rainy season in the Philippines, we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine and perfect weather for swimming in the ocean and snorkeling.
As it turned out, I was the only guest that day, so I unexpectedly had a private island-hopping experience! It felt so special. Huge thanks to the boat crew of Cebu 382, my guide Warren, for making the day unforgettable.
I’m from Arlington Heights, Illinois, (a suburb 30 min from Chicago) so snorkeling in open ocean water was definitely outside my comfort zone. I’m not a strong swimmer, and at first I was nervous, even with a life jacket on. One of the boatmen noticed and actually got into the water with me, encouraging me until I felt confident enough to snorkel on my own. That simple act of kindness meant more than he probably realizes. By the end, I was swimming alongside beautiful tropical fish and didn’t want to get out of the water.
The islands were stunning, the barbecue lunch was delicious, and the fish were even more colorful than the photos online can capture. The pictures in the reviews don’t do this experience justice, you have to see it for yourself 🐟🐠🐟🐠🐟🐠
Warren also took incredible photos throughout the day, allowing me to be fully present instead of worrying about capturing every moment. Those memories are something I’ll always treasure.
This trip was especially meaningful because I chose to celebrate the 4th of July here in the Philippines instead of back home. It felt like celebrating a different kind of freedom, the freedom to travel, to try something that scared me, and to experience the kindness of people halfway around the world.
Thank you, Warren and everyone at Cebu 382, for making this one of the highlights of my trip. I want to come back! “sea you soon!” lol

Amazing tour!
Bohol Island was a full day of checking things off the bucket list:
Chocolate Hills: according to legend, they were formed from the tears of a giant mourning the loss of his true love.
👀 Tarsiers: the adorable mascot of Bohol. These tiny primates have giant eyes, look permanently surprised, and locals say they may have inspired Baby Yoda.
Man-Made Forest: a beautiful stretch of mahogany trees that feels like driving through a real-life movie set.
Loboc River Cruise: floating down one of the most beautiful rivers in the Philippines while enjoying local music, dancing, and incredible views. The lunch was serve at the boat.
Speaking of dancing... I was invited to join a traditional Filipino dance. I tried my best, but judging by the number of toes I stepped on, I may have accidentally invented a new dance style. My sincere apologies to everyone involved. 😂 I also attempted to play a local string instrument. "Attempted" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.

This experience was truly once in a lifetime! From swimming with whale sharks to visiting Tumalog Falls, Sumilon Sandbar, and Pescador Island with its incredible sardine run, every stop was unforgettable. Our driver and guide, Abam, was punctual, friendly, and provided amazing recommendations that made the day even better. Our morning guide, Cherryl, was incredibly kind and informative, making sure we had a smooth and memorable experience. Thanks to both of them, everything was convenient, well-organized, and absolutely enjoyable—I highly recommend this tour!

Our trip was amazing! To start off, our driver Makoy was excellent and punctual, and drove us everywhere quickly. Our guides at the diving and canyoneering were also awesome and helped everything run smoothly and successfully. We highly recommend this experience, as it made the trip for us!

Our Favorite Excursion in Cebu!
⭐ 5 stars. This was our favorite excursion of the entire trip. Alex was our driver and he got us from Cebu City to the canyoneering site safely and efficiently. The drive is long, but that is just part of getting to this part of the island and completely outside the control of the tour. When we arrived at the orientation area, we were a little unsure at first. It was behind the main road in a couple of older buildings and felt a bit hidden. Once the tour started, every worry disappeared. The guides were amazing. I wish we had gotten the name of our main guide because they took photos for us the entire time using my phone. They captured so many great moments while keeping my phone safe through jumps, swimming, and climbing. Our group had a mix of athletic and non athletic people and the guides stayed with everyone the whole time. One of the guides took such great care of my boyfriend’s dad, who was struggling in some areas. He helped him through the easier routes, made sure he felt supported, and even helped with his shoes. The service was truly next level. The canyoneering itself was incredible. I am afraid of heights and water, and so is my boyfriend, but something about the experience made us feel safe and adventurous. We ended up jumping off every cliff and doing the rope swing. For anyone not ready for that, there are alternate paths, so it works for everyone. The scenery was unreal. Blue water, waterfalls, hanging vines, canyon walls, wildlife. It felt like a movie. There were even a couple of spots along the way where you could grab snacks or water and pay later. After the adventure, we had lunch cooked by a local and it tasted homemade and comforting after hours in the water. We cannot recommend this excursion enough. It is a must do. The only con is the long drive, but it is absolutely worth it. WOW WOW WOW.

Cebu highlights in a day
The driver was prompt. We started up in the hills at Sirao and worked our way back down into the city. We were allowed to explore each stop at our own pace. Lunch was great!! This was a perfect way to explore Cebu in one day. Tops Cebu will be a definite return visit in the evening for the lights of the city. Don't forget the sunscreen and/or an umbrella.🤗

Incredible Whale Sharks
Bucket list experience! Seeing the whale sharks is such an incredible experience.
We especially loved our guide Danny and driver Frances - they made the tour extra special.
The sardine run and turtle snorkel was cool too but the whale shark experience really took the cake for us. Worth the early morning and long drive to get there!

Half day tour of the highlights of Cebu
The tour was fabulous seeing much of the local culture. Chris did an outstanding job narrating the highlights of the various points of interest. The time frame of the tour was perfect and Chris and our driver made a much appreciated change in course at the end to drop us at a restaurant to meet the rest of our group for dinner.

Must do tour!
Such a great tour! Touched on all the highlights of Cebu. The car was very nice and the driver kept us safe the entire time. Bobby was a great guide and took all the photos for us but also let us have our time alone to explore. We ended the trip with a great dinner at a Michelin Star restaurant which was a great surprise. Well worth the trip!

Great experience! I...
Great experience! I booked a private excursion for 5 people, and we were very well taken care of by our driver (Roland), Oslob guide (James), and Moalboal boat driver and guide.
Roland was punctual picking us up at 3am and was an expert driver having to maneuver down the coast of Cebu. Note: be prepared for 9+ hours of driving, and I probably wouldn’t recommend to people who are easily car/motion sick. We were able to sleep a lot and brought snacks for the car. We had an 8 seater van that was clean in the morning, and we definitely left it sandy at the end of the day.
James took good care of us in Oslob, he got our tickets for the whale sharks, and then we went to the falls since our group number wouldn’t be called for another 2 hrs. We had about an hour at the falls, and James carried our towels down and stayed nearby to take photos of our group. At the whale sharks area, he found us a spot in the shade and then waited for our number to be called for us, and showed us where to go. Definitely recommend since the waiting area was pretty chaotic during the busy tourist season.
Note for December travelers: the water was pretty choppy, so we were only able to hang off the side of the paddle boat while they had another small boat feeding the whale sharks to pass by the boats in a line. In the 30 minute experience, a shark was led past us 4 or 5 times.
Roland took us to Moalboal and led us to the boat pickup. We had a private motor boat which was nice. Our boat driver and guide both swam with us at the turtle and sardine run stop. I had a go pro, and the guide took lots of good videos of us while the driver helped push us down deeper below the surface for good videos.
One note for future travelers: I wish I wore my long sleeve swim shirt because I got a lot of jelly fish stings that are super itchy the next day. Mostly from the Moalboal are, but we also felt some in Oslob.

Request for Abam ( to drive around) and lyza as your tour guide.
Well organized. Abam our driver was fantastic! This was a whole day trip and we felt very safe with his driving. Lyza our tour guide was amazing! She’s the friendliest tour guide! She knows the ins and outs, and knows everyone. She plans accordingly and made sure she’s not wasting your time waiting. Highly recommend Abam and lyza if you choose this tour.
