Do this tour !!
This was a special experience that included about 6 hours out on the lagoon including the lunch stop , and then 2 hours on the 4WD . The guides Manu and Ari made the day , their singing , their stories and their focus on making sure everyone had a good time made the day very special, spending time in the water with the rays and baby sharks was a big highlight. If you want a tour that captures authentic Polynesian hospitality, food and care for the ocean environment book these guys

Still the best!
The team at Lagoon Service is amazing...friendly, fun, engaged and welcoming. We loved this tour so much last year, we came again this year. We loved our captain/guide Temo ❤️ ...such a joyful and friendly guide. He kept as laughing and comfortable throughout the day. Excellent time petting stingrays, swimming with sharks and cruising (snorkeling) through Coral Garden to see all the tropical fish and wildly colorful clams. And honestly, the picnic lunch is amazing. We loved the food and the family atmosphere. We will always take this tour if we make it make to Bora Bora. Māuruuru, Temo, and the team at Lagoon Service!

An easy 3-4 hour excursion
We took the afternoon tour the day after it rained. Our group of 7 (including the captain) stopped by three spots around the island, to see manta rays in the nearby underwater canyon, the coral garden, and eagle rays. Unfortunately only saw one lone eagle ray after quite a few minutes to boating around searching. The captain spoke in both French and English and explained well what we were doing. He was mindful of the less experienced swimmers in the group which was very thoughtful and needed. Overall had a great time.

No nonsense, just spectacular snorkeling
Not a lot of frills, but you won’t miss them because the snorkeling is so good. I’ve been on snorkel cruises on catamarans with 30 or more guests, where you all end up in a tight crowd of life jackets and flippers, fighting to glimpse a few parrotfish or a lone sea turtle. This tour is on a small boat with maybe 10-ish people max, so you have plenty of elbow room in the water to make your own way (and no cumbersome life jacket required). The two locations are unbeatable — a close encounter with dozens of sharks and rays, followed by a meander through a coral labyrinth of more colorful lagoon-dwelling species than I could count. Absolutely spectacular. On the boat between the two spots, we circled some spinner dolphins jumping in the surf. And later our diver and guide serenaded us with ukulele and singing before the return trip.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Bora Bora’s powder-soft beaches and swaying palms may be idyllic, but nothing quite rivals the splendor of its underwater world. From its turquoise lagoons to its lush reefs—home to tropical fish and colorful coral—the island boasts a wonderland of aquatic discovery. Bora Bora snorkeling tours offer the most direct way to explore without the complex equipment or certifications necessary for scuba dives. Embark on an aqua safari, get up close (but not too close) to resident sharks and stingrays, or book a private tour for a fully personalized (and romantic) experience.
