It was a lot of fun! We toured around the island stopping at a few scenic spots. Our driver was kind and knowledgeable about the history of the island. He took good care of us. I would go again and recommend that you book it too!

Fun few hours circling the island. Very interactive and professional guide and we stopped at lots of different places. We were provided with bottles of water
We had finished by lunch time.
I recommend this tour

Amazing tour around the island with beautiful photo stops and breathtaking views of Mount Otemanu. We also visited local shops selling handmade Polynesian crafts and souvenirs. Another highlight was seeing the American World War II monuments along the way. Our guide was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. A perfect way to experience the island’s natural beauty, culture, and history. Highly recommended!

Kind of a fun trip, but this isn't really off roading, or doing anything special at all. They just use a 4x4 safari style vehicle & take you up 3 little hills for the view & then show you around town a little & that's literally it. We saw 2 old cannons & the tour guide wasn't very talkative or personal.

Had a great, albeit short time with Ta’rei as our driver and guide. There are two main viewpoints that they take you up to for great views around Bora Bora as well as some history (WW II Canons). There is a stop at a local tie dye shop plus a few brief stops for pictures and experience. Overall you get a different perspective of the island compared to the resorts.

This tour was jam packed with amazing views and a cute demonstration. There was about a 10 minute hike that was easy to complete.

Be sure you wear tennis shoes as you will climb a trail to a mountain site to see the cannons and view.. Also you will be blown by the wind in the back of the 4x4. There was little knowledge imparted by a tour guide explaining places and we were delayed starting due to late customers. Overall it was ok.

It was perfect, very interesting stories and beautiful viewpoints.
Would recommend it with no hesitation.

Great views of the island. A little walking across uneven ground but worth it.
Interesting stories of local culture and customs.

Excellent tour and gracoius guide. Heat made trek to canning difficult but guide provided cool water bottles and assistance as needed.

The operator was 30 minutes late with no communication, which was frustrating. We went long which was okay with our schedule, but could have been an issue. We did enjoy the beauty of the island, and the guide was so-so, not bad, not great.

This tour involves some hiking, so if you have trouble hiking on ruff terrain for 15 minutes or so you won’t like this one. We had several stops and one was a gift shop outdoor market by locals. It was very hot on the day we went.

Excellent experience. Splendid view of the bora bora island. We gone to several spots to view the lagoon and mountain.

Our driver Nono was amazing he explained everything well and to us to some unique places where there were no other tourists. Also places that the US Military set up before WWI.
Great service and great driver!!

The tour circled the entire island with various stops along the way. Seating was in the covered rear of a 4WD truck. Capacity is 8 passengers. The 4WD was definitely needed as we went to 2 elevated locations. One was to a WWII gun emplacement. The 40 min. Round trip path to the gun was VERY rocky and uneven. Remain at the truck if you have any walking difficulties. The other elevated stop was a flat location high above the ocean overlooking the bay where the cruise ship was located. Overall, a great trip.

The trucks are very safe, they even had seat belts in the back. Reasonably easy to get in and out of the truck. This tour took us to many more places than our friends on other tours. It was really worth it! The guides were pleasant and shared a lot of info about the area and culture.

We had a fantastic experience on this island tour in Bora Bora. The company did a really great job from start to finish. We traveled around the island in a 4×4 pickup truck with bench seating in the back—comfortably padded, covered, and equipped with seatbelts, which made the ride both fun and secure.
We were traveling in December, and it was very hot and humid, so being in an open-air pickup made a big difference. We actually caught a nice breeze while driving, which helped keep things comfortable.
The route took us up into the mountains with several well-timed stops along the way. At each stop, the guide clearly explained what we were seeing and shared helpful context about the island and the surrounding motus. I took the English-language tour, and everything was very clear and easy to understand.
The views were absolutely stunning—lush mountains, sweeping vistas, and those unreal shades of blue Bora Bora is famous for. The photos don’t do the beauty justice. I’d highly recommend this tour if you want to see the island beyond the beach and get a deeper appreciation for its landscape.

I didn’t feel our driver/guide had his heart in the tour. We saw the highlights and wished I had done a snorkelling tour instead. Or at the least had a swim in the beautiful blue seas.
Gena_P, Dec 2025
It was exciting and fascinating to see a more rugged part of the island. Of course the water and beaches are incredibly beautiful, but this experience allowed me to see something different. Moana was my driver and guide. He was lovely and kind. The sunset from a top one of the highest points was spectacular. I would recommend to anyone who wants a little more adventure, just be prepared for lots of roller coaster type bumps!

Excellent tour which circumnavigated the island plenty of stops along the way, Mana our driver / guide was informative and passionate about his country.
Zorica_R, Dec 2025
Very bumpy ride.Even though it was raining off and on,our driver was trying his best to entertain us.
Stopped by a good place by the road for the best fresh fruit to buy, which I did.
The fruit was juicy and fresh and bought a lot.

Guide arrived on time, explained our journey, very informative and fun conversations. Took great pictures of us 😎. I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed this tour and our guide gave us a lot of varied information on the geology, vegetation and war time history of the island.
Part of the tour involves a 15 minute walk over uneven ground so we would advise walking shoes or trainers rather than flip flops.

This trip was a great way to both see the island from high vantage points and to learn about its history.

The guide did not explain anything at any stop. He pretended he had trouble with English and spoke only to the three French people on the tour. When we stopped at the local tie-dye business, he just left us to wander aimlessly for twenty minutes while he vaped. We were never given a demonstration of the tie-dying as promised in the itinerary. He never offered a hand to help people step in or out of the vehicle. We have used Viator all over the world and been very happy. Not this time! Do not book this tour.

This is a fun, short tour around the island. We stopped at all sites listed. Our tour guide was spoke multiple languages and explained the formation of the islands and the origin of the people very well. Our only glitch was that our Viator booking said the tour started at 9am but those that booked via the concierge were told 8:30am.

A fun and informative tour of Bora Bora. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and made our trip really enjoyable.

One of the best tours with an amazing tour guide around a tropical paradise. I would suggest this to any visitor to Bora Bora. Thank you Freedom!
Tim_T, Sep 2025
The ride in the 4x4 was quite rough -- but doable. The sites we went to were ok, noting spectacular. Our guide stopped occasionally and explained several things, but overall it was just an average experience.
Jen_m, Sep 2025
Had an exceptional time! This is our third time returning to BB and our second time touring the island. We learned new things and our guide was very informative and just fantastic. Definitely recommended!
