This was the best guided snorkeling tour I have ever been of because of our two guides. They were locals who were extremely knowledgeable, and took us to see the most amazing parts of Bora Bora. The stingrays we swam with had been named (shout and to Shakira), and even though no food was given to the animals, even the fish flocked to our guides like old friends. This made the experience even more special. When I return, I will definitely be booking with them again.

My kids, 10 and 12, husband and I experienced this tour on our dream vacation to Bora Bora. Timu and Tamu (sorry if we spelled this wrong!) were the best guides from the start! They told funny stories, sang and played the ukulele and drums to accompany our boat
ride, and knew the best snorkeling spots. They were well equipped with snorkel gear, fins and life jackets should you need any. We were wowed at every stop! We saw stingrays, sharks and swam through a gorgeous coral garden with tons of colorful fish. They offered juice and fresh fruit and delicious coconut bread at the end as we headed back to our resort, completely satisfied and happy. Thanks for a wonderful tour!

Toto was amazing, super friendly and helpful. He serenades you with his ukulele. He took us to 3 sites to snorkel, all different and beautiful. His girl friend, Juliet, a manta ray was incredible and a sight that you just had to be there. There were so many sharks and we saw many brightly colored fish. This was the best tour we took.

The tour was great, our guide Tau was really informative from the beginning, can see he is very passionate about his culture and he loves his job. Loved how he was playing the ukulele, singing and steering the boat with his feet!! I got to hold a sting ray and one of guides took some pictures of me and saw heaps of black tips and Tau even took me round a tour of the coral reef and fish and then he took a really cool video of me with all the fish. During the tour one of the other passengers saw a dolphin in the distance and tau very kindly stopped the boat for a good while so we could see them, there was a large pod it was so lovely, I'm so greatful that he stopped to do that for us! Tau made all the ladies leaf headbands too. The tour said half day but we were on it for 5 hours so it definitely was good value for money. Also unlimited soft drinks on board. (No snacks given though as I read there were snacks on previous reviews but I wasn't hungry anyway so didn't really matter) Over all a fab day on a well organised tour.

This excursion was even better than when we hired private boat for snorkeling. I realize there are many great guides given French Polynesian locals are lovely people; however, Tau must be the best guide! What we saw & did was varied and interesting. Tau took it to the next level making every minute a cultural enjoyment with his happy songs accompanied by ukulele and his genuinely joyful attitude. We were treated to freshly cracked coconut water, bananas & homemade bread. Also, we never felt rushed to leave stop X for stop Y, which was a hesitation for booking a multi-stop group trip. Tour group operator very organized by calling our hotel ahead of time to notify of their arrival to pick up which guests and updated hotel with ETA.

We had a wonderful time with Rony. He was knowledgeable, funny, helpful, a good singer, very entertaining, everything that you want from your tour guide. I highly recommend this tour . The snorkeling was amazing! The manta rays and sharks was also a unique experience. Thanks Rony for making our stay in Bora Bora worthwhile!

It was absolutely amazing! The variety of snorkeling experiences we had was wonderful. Our guide Tau, was not only knowledgeable but shared his passion for his culture and family and we really loved getting to know him as a person.

100%worth it. Our guide TAU was amazing. Taking us to 3 great spots: 1. Coral reef. Tons of fish and easy to swim around. My one daughter was a little nervous and Tau was so kind and made her feel comfortable and took her on a snorkeling tour around the reef. 2. Swim with black tip sharks. They don’t bite and it was amazing. 3. Swim with sting rays. Tau has a special bond with some of them and he should you how to hold them and kiss them. Truly an amazing day all around.

Amazing experience- even better than the description. 3 fantastic snorkeling opportunities to see stingrays, swim with sharks and then the stunning coral garden. Lovely snacks as well. Our boat captain was fantastic, giving us lots of interesting information and entertaining us with stories. I highly recommend this experience.
Michele_J, Jul 2025
We had a great experience with Niko! We were a party of 10 (grandparents, kids, etc), and he took us to 3 unique locations. So helpful, friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. He even pulled out the ukulele for some great songs as we traveled between the locations. It was a really memorable experience.
Christopher_D, Jul 2025
Fulfilling and fun day out snorkeling with Lagoon Service! Equipment and life jacket is provided, bring your own if you prefer a custom fit. Makes 3 wonderful stops and safe for the whole family.

Our guide, Mana, was fantastic. He provided great information, he was funny, he played the ukkalale and sang beautifully. The snorkeling was great - beautiful coral and tropical fish, swarms of sharks and we got to hold a stingray too! It was amazing.
Daisy_B, May 2025
Captain Ronny was amazing! Super friendly, funny, and a great singer too! as a local he is very knowledgeable with the history of the island. The whole tour was magical with amazing views of the island. We had 3 snorkelling stops- sting rays, beautiful coral reef with amazing fish, and black tip sharks. A must do tour when in Bora Bora.

We had the best time on this snorkeling tour with Lagoon Services! Captain Mike was a great guide. He taught us about the history of the island, played the ukulele and sang for us, took us to three snorkeling spots as well as gave us a full circle tour of Bora Bora. We loved the small group size (7 of us) and the snorkeling spots were the best. Our first stop was to see the black tip reef sharks. The second stop was the natural coral reef which we spent about 30 mins there and the last stop was to snorkel with stingrays. We felt completely safe during all these snorkel spots and enjoyed every minute of it. Best tour guide and best snorkeling we’ve done in years!
James_F, Mar 2025
We have done the full day on previous trips and now the 1/2 day tour covered all the good spots and had some treats after the snorkel events. Good tour guide and had a pleasant day with them.

Our host, Tau, was Excellent.
From the greeting, to his chat, to his care of us in the water, to his music and general positive attitude, we thank him.
We also had good quality equipment and refreshments.
We left feeling we had a very special time and experienced the very essence of Bora Bora.
Craig_J, Feb 2025
Terrific excursion. Captain Mike was the best. We had 3 stops. 1)rays, which we could touch and even hold. 2) Black tip sharks, 20-30 of them. Very cool. 3) Coral garden with many tropical fish and vibrant colors. Warm, clear water. Much better than the SCUBA dive we did the day before. Highly recommend! The highlight of our trip thus far,

This was so much fun. Our guide was incredibly fun and knowledgeable, he shared a lot with us including stories, food and drink.

Rau was awesome! He truly loves where he lives. We learned so much about Bora Bora and all the other islands. All the different stops were excellent and interesting how the water depths were all so different with each stop, but we gotta say, we enjoyed Rau and his knowledge the most. We'd do an excursion with him just for that alone! Tell him Illinois says "la Orana"

It was a very windy day around Bora Bora, but Captain Mike and his sidekick (Nui?) took great care of a full boat. We took the half day tour, and were the last 3 passengers to board at the port, as we were coming off the Paul Gaugin cruise ship. Easy pick up, and off we went to the first snorkeling spot. We had 3 spots in total.
The first stop was shallow enough to touch the bottom, and watch rays float past us. The second spot was about 15 feet deep and gorgeous blue water, where sharks and rays swam all around us. Magical! The last spot was to snorkel around and through the coral garden. With all the wind and rough water, we didn't see as many fish as other reviews, but it was still spectacular. Then back to swim around the boat and enjoy some coconut banana bread and fresh fruit while Mike serenaded us with his ukulele and songs.
The next time I visit Bora Bora (and there WILL be a next time), I'll book the full day tour and include lunch. 5 stars all the way around!!

I was told we would be picked up at time of reservation but was given false information- no compensation for this. So we rented a car and the car was in a hit and run while we were on the boat-which then cost us $400. It was a $ 609 day - all this because of the false info we were given at time of reservation - no compensation was given- what a rip off for us and very hard to enjoy our day snd vacation

Our guides (Tomo & Ray) were great. Took a lot of pride in sharing how Bora Bora has progressed over the years. The activities were super fun: ray preserve, swimming with reef sharks, and the coral gardens. Really fun day and would definitely do again (for a third time).
Susannah_T, Jun 2024
For those new to snorkeling and not the best swimmers, this was a wonderful excursion because the guides were attentive, patient, and helpful. The coral garden is so beautiful and swimming with the sharks is out of this world.
Thomas_R, May 2024
Very cool experience visiting the lagon of Bora Bora, deeing the rays and sharks, and the lagoon and its amazing colour
EugeneM_L, Mar 2024
The whole experience was outstanding! My favorite part was swimming in the coral garden. The number of fish was in the thousands. They swam around me and with me. We had a perfect sunny day (don't forget your sun screen). My wife loves animals and couldn't wait to see the sharks. Turned out that was her favorite over the sting-rays and the puffer fish we saw. We ended our half day tour at a white sand beach with fruit and coconut bread. The water had to be near 80 degrees. We never went on land, we waded in the water about 30 feet from shore. We spent 80% if the tour in the water. But if you want to hang out on the boat and just watch, you can do that too.
Mike the tour captain also played some music for us on his ukulele.
100% recommended if you want to see and swim with the fish.
Rafael_A, Dec 2023
Wow!!! ❤️ We had the best time riding around the lagoon and outside the lagoon to see sharks. We saw coral garden fishes(fed them banana), sting rays, and sharks. Best tour service on the island.
Linda_M, Oct 2023
We went with Captain Mike.
He is exceptional! He sang to us.
He gave us a lot of information about sea life. He got into the water with us, so we felt very safe.
He was very funny. We laughed a lot.

Even though it ended up being a rainy day which made moving from spot to spot on the boat a bit cold and uncomfortable we still had a good time. Tao, our guide, sang, told us a lot about the history of the formation of the island, served food (including explaining best way to open and portion out a coconut) and made sure there were plenty of photo and memory worthy moments while snorkeling in each of the three stop locations. As a bonus he also knew how to make water rings which always makes for a cool picture.
We had times where there were dozens of fish as well as black tip sharks and manta rays all in close proximity. Tao made sure we understood what to expect before each stop so that we wouldn't get into a situation where we didn't accidentally get hurt by (or hurt) a ray or shark. This included the opportunity to hold a manta ray, which were far more friendly than I expected.
A couple of the locations were in shallow enough water to stand (bring/wear water socks) for those who were not confident swimmers. For those needing to borrow equipment, we used the fins they had on board and were some of the best ones on our trip (open back, easily adjustable).
If possible it is certainly worth bringing an underwater camera for - there were never any boring moments in the water. The locations selected to dive were in fairly protected places where even with winds the waves were minor. Just be aware that if the weather does not cooperate the tour boat is open sided - even with the provided towels you will get soaked and the combination of cold rain and fast boat travel had several people trying to huddle up to stay warm and out of the spray.

Tau was excellent. His beautiful singing and skillful ukulele playing was delightful. He has a wonderful spirit. The snorkeling (particularly the second stop) was phenomenal. The bluest blue!
