Great tour! Evans was informative and entertaining, and our captain was great. When choosing a tour, pick your priorities. This tour gives you stingrays and sharks within lagoon, coral reef snorkel AND THEN snorkeling with the sharks outside the reef (which is not offered with all tour companies). You circumnavigate the island, this seeing all the views. Lunch probably a bit longer than needed… but experience overall was terrific.

Fantastic snorkeling at 3 stops. My guide was very accommodating as the only English speaker aboard and made sure to keep me informed of the sites and history of the island. After snorkeling, you get a tour around the island and stop for lunch. The lunch was excellent. After lunch, the guides show you how to weave palms as well as open fresh coconuts. Great day!

We had an incredible time on our lagoon tour! Snorkeling with stingrays, sharks, and even “Nemo and friends” was unforgettable—such a magical experience from start to finish. The water was crystal clear, the marine life was amazing, and we always felt safe and well taken care of. A huge shout-out to Rolly, who was absolutely awesome. His energy, knowledge, and kindness made the tour even better. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in every moment. I mean who else can play the ukulele and sing while driving a boat? Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure! 🌺🐠🦈✨

Wonderful day out on the lagoon, despite rainy weather. Evans was a wonderful captain/guide. First time I’ve seen someone play ukulele, sing, and drive a boat at the same time! Swam with rays, sharks, loads of fish, octopus. Saw dolphins, turtles… great lunch on the motu, with coconut demonstration…

An Unforgettable First Snorkeling Experience in Bora Bora!

This was my very first time snorkeling and my first time swimming in the ocean, so I was naturally quite nervous, even with a life jacket on. But this tour completely blew me away and turned out to be the absolute highlight of my trip! Our guide, Evans, was simply amazing. Knowing how scared I was, he held onto my life ring and pulled me along for the entire second and third snorkel spots. Because of his incredible patience and care, I was able to relax and see majestic blacktip reef sharks swimming right beneath me! It was a breathtaking, magical experience. The Snorkeling Spots: First Spot (Shallow water): Perfect for starting out. We spotted stingrays, blacktip sharks, and lots of colorful little fish. Second Spot (Deep water, ~10 meters): The water here was crystal clear—a pure, transparent shade of blue. There were so many blacktip sharks that it felt like swimming right inside a giant aquarium! Third Spot (Coral Garden): A stunning underwater paradise filled with gorgeous corals and vibrant fish. More Than Just Snorkeling: Along the way, our guides made the boat ride so much fun. They played the ukulele, sang live music, and pointed out the local resorts and the main pass—the only opening into the Bora Bora lagoon. A Delicious Motu Lunch: After our morning adventure, we headed to a private motu for an incredible buffet lunch featuring local dishes. The coconut milk fish was out of this world—truly the best I’ve ever had, even better than the food at our resort! The pumpkin pudding was equally delicious. A wonderful eco-friendly touch: our food was served on plates woven entirely out of fresh leaves! During lunch, Evans and our other guide treated us to live music, playing the ukulele and singing with the biggest, most joyful smiles on their faces. Their infectious happiness rubbed off on all of us and left a permanent mark on my heart. To top it all off, they even gave us a demonstration on how to weave leaf plates, open coconuts, and shared all the amazing ways the coconut tree is used ("a tree of life"). If you are looking for a safe, joyful, and deeply authentic tour in Bora Bora, this is the one to book. Thank you, Evans and team, for giving me the most magical, fear-conquering day of my life!

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Everything was perfectly organised and I had an amazing time from start to finish. A very special thanks to our wonderful guide, Taaroa. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and passionate, sharing much interesting information throughout the tour. He went above and beyond to make the experience memorable, even creating beautiful handcrafted souvenirs from palm leaves for the ladies. Highly recommend this tour! It was an absolutely amazing experience. We had such a great time and snorkeled in three different areas. In a shallow, light-green lagoon, we saw stingrays and sharks. In the deep blue ocean, we saw even more sharks. At the coral garden, we saw lots of colorful fish. The lunch was amazing too—probably the best meal we had in Bora Bora. Both the chicken and the beef were delicious. A special shout-out to our guide, Ray. He was such a kind and enthusiastic gentleman. He was also a very experienced guide. He loved sharing stories and knowledge about his homeland. He showed us how to husk a coconut and make things out of coconut palm leaves. He was also extremely considerate. My wife was snorkeling for the first time, and he took great care of her. He prepared a swim ring for her and encouraged her to give snorkeling a try. My wife had really enjoyed her first snorkeling. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience.

Best snorkeling ever

We had 3 snorkel stops. The first was in chest high water. Sharks and rays everywhere. So cool. Not scary at all. Second stop was outside the barrier in deep water. Thirs stop was at the coral garden. My wife and I agree that this was the best snorkeling we have ever done and we've been all over the Caribbean and central America. We saw so many colorful corals and anemones and we'll over one hundred different tropical fish species. Our guide also got in the water and led us on a tour through the corals. Also, the water salinity is high so you naturally float and do not need any flotation devices. At the end we had a nice lunch on the motu

One of the highlights of our trip

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The guides know right where to go for sharks, stingrays of course. We enjoyed meeting a few other guests from around the world during the excursion, and really enjoyed the lunch portion which was high quality. Snorkeling is the highlight of course, but a trip like this also gets you out on the water for beautiful views and to see different parts of the geography. They also picked up and dropped off at our motu hotel which is much better than needing to navigate yourself to the main island via water taxi

The team at Lagoon Service is amazing...friendly, fun, engaged and welcoming. We loved this tour so much last year, we came again this year. We loved our captain/guide Temo ❤️ ...such a joyful and friendly guide. He kept as laughing and comfortable throughout the day. Excellent time petting stingrays, swimming with sharks and cruising (snorkeling) through Coral Garden to see all the tropical fish and wildly colorful clams. This excursion is best described by the word WOW! It’s an incredible way to explore the lagoon of Bora Bora. The outrigger canoe is fun and comfortable. The stops are incredible, especially swimming with sharks in deep water. Lunch is very tasty and enjoyable. You get to enjoy your lunch at a picnic table in the water while sharks, rays, and fish swim around. The presentations provided were very informative and fun. I highly recommend this excursion if you are in Bora Bora!

We had a wonderful time. There were four specific spots were we spent quality time. First a stop in shallow water swimming with rays and also had some sharks circle us. Then a stop in the open water beyond the reef where we encountered a large group of blacktip sharks. Then a snorkeling swim across some beautiful corals. The last stop was on a private island where we were served a delicious tahitian lunch. Our tour guides did a wonderful job making us feel confortable, answering questions and providing good guidance. throughout.

There are good excursions and then there are next level excursions like this one! The crew was outstanding and very attentive. We made 3 amazing snorkel stops including sharks, sting rays and the pristine coral gardens. Last stop was lunch at picnic benches in the water while tropical fish and rays circled our feet in the water and sharks cruised near by within sight.

Strong warning: I would not recommend Lagoon Service Bora Bora. Do not book this tour unless you are a very strong swimmer and comfortable swimming against current. If you struggle, you may be yelled at, talked down to, and accused of standing on the reef instead of being helped respectfully. The snorkel gear they provided was terrible. Do not use their gear unless you want to swallow a massive amount of seawater. Bad equipment made the snorkeling much harder and more stressful than it should have been. The captain’s attitude was the worst part of the day. His tone was condescending, and he kept accusing people of standing on the reef when they were clearly struggling with the current and the bad snorkel gear. Instead of feeling safe and supported, the experience became mentally exhausting. To be fair, the sharks were amazing, the group size was good, and the motu lunch with the coconut show was enjoyable. I also tipped because he helped pull non-swimmers through the coral garden. But the coral garden itself was one of the least impressive parts of the tour, and you can see similar or better coral in other places, especially Fiji. Overall, the good parts did not make up for the bad equipment and the captain’s attitude. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable lagoon tour. It was stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. Would I do Lagoon Service again? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it to anyone? Hell no. There are much better Bora Bora lagoon tours where you can feel safe, respected, and actually enjoy the day.

This was the absolute highlight of our trip! Henere, our guide, was outstanding. He made everyone feel comfortable from the very beginning and was friendly, entertaining, and incredibly knowledgeable about the island. He helped make the entire excursion fun, engaging, and unforgettable. The entire crew worked hard to ensure every guest had a memorable experience, and their enthusiasm and hospitality truly stood out. Swimming with the sharks, stingrays, and colorful tropical fish in such a breathtaking setting was an experience we’ll never forget. The lunch was absolutely delicious as well! Plenty of delicious food and drink to enjoy after so much swimming in the ocean. We would do this excursion again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bora Bora. This lagoon tour was excellent. I have been on many snorkeling excursions. This is by far the BEST. The first stop had a fantastic coral reef with vibrant colors of sea life especially, the sunning clams with blues, purples and teal. The next stop was incredible snorkeling with reef sharks while feeling :safe.. The last stop we got to pet a friendly ray while reef sharks swam around while we stood. The guide was great and the boat was nice. I HIGHLY recommend this excursion/tour!

A fantastic trip, snorkeling with rays and sharks then out in the ocean for a different scene and then we went and snorkeling in the coral gardens which was amazing! We finished with a wonderful meal and demonstration on making things from palm leaves. The guides entertained us and gave us n educational tour along the way!

Tau is the best tour guide ever. He is kind and compassionate. He came with his daughter and gave a thorough history of bora bora while keeping my 12 and 14 year old entertained. He has amazing talent and sang beautifully while driving a speedboat and playing a ukulele all while speaking perfect English He learned 2 years ago. Best tour ever

Saw lots of fish, black-tipped sharks, and rays at all 3 stops. We were told they were manta rays, but they had a long tail, which I thought were sting rays, so not sure what they were? Lunch was good. Very enjoyable day!

You will the absolute best time ever. Our guide was Henry. Very informative and friendly. We saw black tip sharks, stingrays, tropical fish and an octopus. I even kissed a stingray lol. Snorkeled through the coral gardens. The whole day was magical.
