Grazie was a wonderful...
Grazie was a wonderful host and teacher. She prepares the sauce so it can slow simmer while we make the pasta. She explains the different pastas and then guides us in making two varieties from scratch. What fun! We then sat down to enjoy our fresh pasta with her delicious sauce and, of course, some wine! Deliciouso!!!

Yum!
This was truly an incredible tour. Our guide, Matteo, was the best. Not only did we experience many delicious tastings, his explanations of the history and contemporary life in Bologna were so interesting. He even shared and explained in great detail some of his favorite recipes.
My wife and I both felt that this was one of the best tours we've ever done.
Grazie Mille, Matteo!

Memorable Modena
This tour was, without question, one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. From the moment our guide greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm for not only Modena but everything Emilia-Romagna has to offer, I knew we were in for something special.
We visited a Parmigiano-Reggiano factory where we were able to watch master cheesemaker go through every step of the centuries-old production process — it’s one thing to eat great cheese, but watching it being made with such care and craftsmanship gave it a whole new dimension. We sampled different ages and were able to shops and bring a little piece of goodness home.
The Balsamic vinegar factory was equally jaw-dropping. The aroma alone when you walk through the door is worth the trip. The family owned business was warm and welcoming. We even got to taste balsamic vinegar with ice cream.
Then came the winery. This was nestled in rolling countryside that looked almost too beautiful to be real. We learned about Lambrusco and experienced a private tour of the winery. And of course the wine tasting is where we really began to learn.
Our guides knowledge was extensive, but never making it overwhelming. She explained every fact making into a story. She was deeply proud of her region’s culinary heritage. This was truly a memorable day.

If you do only one tour, do this one.
This tour was the perfect all in one food and highlights tour. Matteo was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, perfect English and funny! The combination of a great run through the history and sights of Bologna together with a perfect tasting tour of the best of local food was just right. Thoroughly recommended.

Awesome Bologna Food Tour with a Local
My wife and I went on the Bologna Food Tour with our host, Eugenio, and 4 other Americans. We were excited for this tour since we've heard so much about the food in Bologna, and we were not disappointed! Eugenio has a comprehensive knowledge of the Bologna's history and geography as well as so many facets of the gastronomic milieu that he was able to create the proper context for us to sample the specialties of his native region. The tour was about three hours long and we covered a lot of distance, but it was comfortably-paced and we never felt like we were hurrying. Eugenio has a good sense of humor and is very personable, which was evident by his friendly relationships with the vendors. We would highly recommend this tour and Eugenio as a host and guide!

Best food tour in Italy
The staff from Italian days, including Serena our guide and Roberta our driver were Top notch. Information was entertaining and informative, and the support was the best we have seen in a long time.
All of the tour elements provided a real grounding In the culinary aspects of northern Italy. I especially enjoyed the balsamic vinegar establishment and the Parmesan factory. Pace was perfect even though my wife has trouble walking. Accommodated her needs perfectly and with care. Every element was super thought out, and I would recommend this to everybody, including younger kids.
The Italian days is a super excellent experience and the meals were outstanding. . We ate here after a tour of the prosciutto facility next-door. The prosciutto plates were outstanding, I tried four different kinds. Pasta was excellent, cooked to perfection with various sauces which highlighted the regional cooking. The chef and his staff were top-notch, friendly, and informative. They even got dressed up and lip, synched songs, karaoke, style, with everyone joining in.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.

A day in the countryside
A wonderful day exploring the best of the Bologna countryside. We started at the Parmagiano factory which was so interesting, moved on to the Balsalmic family estate, on to a family winery for a delicious lunch and wine tasting, and finally to the Ferrari museum to make the husbands happy. Our driver Raoul was very kind. Small group.

Stefania was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who provided a nice overview of foods and associated history of the region. Visiting different markets and tasting so many good things was enjoyable so that the three hours flew by. My wife considers it a highlight of our trip!

Definitely recommend
Great walking and food tour. Food and portions sizes were more than tastes…. Huge portion sizes so it is definitely a meal. Food was great quality…. Very delicious…..Wine not so much but it’s not a wine tour. Jasmine was excellent - so energetic and took the time to point out many historical details. So it’s a bit of a walking tour of the town as well. Domenico also joined us for a portion of the tour and he was very engaging as well.
Great communication with them about meet up points. Too bad the tour business doesn’t have them be more identifiable though.

Intimate afternoon wine tasting
We were looking for something a little different and interesting to do in Bologna and this tour ticked the box. Donillo and Michelle were lovely hosts and so informative. We learnt all about wines of Emilio Romangna and pairing them with foods. The little qui was a lot of fun and we learnt so much. The artisanal products they sell in their store are beautiful. Shame we couldn’t buy more as our luggage is at its max.
Highly recommended to anyone that wants to learn a bit more about wines of the region and pairing with food.
