Highlight of Our Trip to Bologna
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! The small group made it feel personal, and our guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, and made the whole experience really enjoyable.
Every stop had delicious food, and we learned so much along the way. I would absolutely do this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna!

Very enjoyable and...
Very enjoyable and informative walking tour with excellent , friendly and informative local guide Valentina. She took us through the Quadrilatero , to renowned local food bottegas, an enoteca and osteria while explaining the difference between these and letting us taste local wines, meat , cheese, ragù and of course gelato . Would never have discovered these places and tastes on our own. Highly recommended

Absolutely Fabulous!!
What a wonderful day full of once in a lifetime experiences and fantastic food.
Yes...it's an early start but completely worth it. My wife and I loved every stop.
When they say breakfast and lunch, they aren't talking just pastries and sandwiches...it is a journey for the palette.
Definitely recommend if you are visiting and have the time.

We had an amazing...
We had an amazing experience on this food tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna! Our guide, Caterina, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about the city. Her love for Bologna was evident in every story she shared, and by the end of the tour, we felt like we had fallen in love with the city too.
The variety of stops was excellent, giving us the chance to taste a wide range of authentic local specialties. Every stop offered something unique, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Beyond the incredible food, we also learned so much about Bologna’s history, culture, and culinary traditions.
If you’re looking for a fun, informative, and delicious way to experience Bologna, this tour is a must. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Amazing Foodie Tour & Guide
We planned a two night one day stop over in Bologna, driving from the Dolomites to Siena. Since Bologna is the culinary heart of Italy, we thought a foodie tour was in order & this particular tour did not disappoint. Our guide, Valentina G. was exceptional. Her warm, friendly personality enabled her to connect with everyone in our 10 person group. We were an English speaking group & English was one of four languages Valentina spoke fluently. She shared the perfect mix of local food-related culture, history & traditions. During what turned out to be nearly a 4 hour tour, she took us to restaurants aomewhat off the beaten path where we dined on a delicious variety of dishes that are native to Bologna & learned about their origins. Most importantly (haha), we learned how to distinguish a great gelato from one that is not. Seriously, I would never have known some of the tips she gave, other than what my palate liked best. Also, my husband had certain dietary needs in which Valentina also did a fabulous job accommodating. Would highly recommend this tour & Valentina G. as your guide.

One of the best day tours we experienced while in Italy for a month.
Our tour guide, Domenico, was fantastic! My wife and I booked this small group food and wine tour at the last minute. Turns out, we were the only ones to tour with Domenico that day. What a great day full of interesting history of Bologna, some really great food including meats and cheeses with honey, a full meal of delicious lasagna, and plenty of wine. Finished it all off with gelato of course. If you are lucky enough to have Domenico as your tour guide, you will be very happy.

Always the best tour in a new city! Food, wine and like minded travellers.
We had such a fun time. Roberta was a fantastic guide and we learned so much about the food of Bologna and Moderna. We had a lovely diverse group of fellow travellers and made some lasting friendships. We got to try all the delicious popular dishes and we had some amazing wines. We all had such a great time that we had an after party at the oldest wine bar in Bologna! Grazie Mille Amy, Kristian, Harry and Carrol.

The best of Bologna
We usually try to do cooking classes when we travel. None has been better than Pastamamma! Grazia gave us an unparalleled experience in Bologna. We booked a lunchtime class on the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Grazia's place was easy to find and get to and her communications were excellent (as is her English. She also speaks French.) Grazia provided all the ingredients and, of course, the expertise. It wasn't long before we were rolling out dough and creating our own tagliatelle! Ditto for wonderful tortelloni filled spinach and cheese. We had wine, ate soup...oh, and her Bolognese gravy is to die for. We especially loved the stories she was able to tell us about her life in Bologna and other places. She was so warm and we felt like we made a new friend. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful class with this classy, wonderful woman.

Do This Tour!!!!! 100 Stars
This trip/ tour was worth every single penny. Luca picked us up and we stopped at a parmesean cheese farm and saw how it was made. Our next stop was a meat factory with so much prosciutto. We got to eat a variety of different meat & drink Lambrusco! Our last stop was my favorite - a balsamic vinegar farm. This tour was perfect - probably my favorite thing I’ve ever done.

Fabulous authentic pasta making experience!
This was an amazing authentic cooking experience with a delightful Bologna native who welcomed us into her home. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and everyone produced delicious pasta. The friendly group atmosphere enhanced the experience and highlighted food as the centre of connection for Italians. I would highly recommend this experience!

A great experience the only point we would say as it was a Sunday and the traditional pasta making venue was closed we were taken to a fast food pasta store aka McDonalds pasta and it lost the authentic pasta making we were hoping for, the rest was great 👍🍷
