We had Roberta driving and supporting and Julia giving information. A MUST in Bologna!

This is an absolute MUST on your trip to Bologna. Grazia who is a Bologna native, and her sweet pup, Chedi, warmly welcomed us into her home for a super fun pasta making class. We learned so much and had a great time. It has been the best part of our trip! We made tagliatelle and tortellini and also played with making a few other shapes. The best part is getting to eat your pasta with her homemade bolognese sauce and butter/sage sauce. She also served us wine and a delicious light mascarpone desert. We left with our hearts and bellies full. If you’re interested in learning how to make traditional pasta, book with Grazia. You will not regret it. Delicious and historic!

Amazing Foodie Tour & Guide

We planned a two night one day stop over in Bologna, driving from the Dolomites to Siena. Since Bologna is the culinary heart of Italy, we thought a foodie tour was in order & this particular tour did not disappoint. Our guide, Valentina G. was exceptional. Her warm, friendly personality enabled her to connect with everyone in our 10 person group. We were an English speaking group & English was one of four languages Valentina spoke fluently. She shared the perfect mix of local food-related culture, history & traditions. During what turned out to be nearly a 4 hour tour, she took us to restaurants aomewhat off the beaten path where we dined on a delicious variety of dishes that are native to Bologna & learned about their origins. Most importantly (haha), we learned how to distinguish a great gelato from one that is not. Seriously, I would never have known some of the tips she gave, other than what my palate liked best. Also, my husband had certain dietary needs in which Valentina also did a fabulous job accommodating. Would highly recommend this tour & Valentina G. as your guide.

The trip was well...

The trip was well organized, the driver was professional, van was comfortable, and the tours were all amazing. Impossible to be hungry after this tour. The Lambrusco tour was great, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cheese and Parmesan farm were incredible, and eating lunch in the vinegar producers home was a surreal homey experience.

Frederica was a fantastic...

Frederica was a fantastic host and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the vineyard with her. As she worked at the vineyard making wine herself she had excellent knowledge of the history of the vineyard and surrounding estate and was able to answer any questions we had about the process of how their wine is made according to the owners specific vision. At the end we were invited to sample some of the different wines they produce and even purchase some wine to take away should we wish! Grazie mille Frederica!
