Awesome Bologna culinary experience
Catarina was great! We explored the Quadrilatero market, visited an old Osteria, tried some traditional pastas, meats, vinegar and a secret dish!
It was also really good to hear about how each dish was formed and the historical context behind them.
We were also given plenty of time to savour each experience and talk with fellow travellers.
Thanks for the great experience, definitely recommend!

Fantastic food tour
We had a fantastic experience. We met our guide and the rest of our small group of six people. Our guide was inviting and described the local delicacies with enthusiasm and great knowledge. We toured the shops selling fresh meats, cheeses, pastas, and baked goods, collecting the local delicacies for sampling over wine at the oldest osteria in the city.
Next our guide took us to a restaurant, telling us more about the city and pointing out landmarks along the way. We tried two local pasta dishes with wine, then topped off the experience with a delicious ice cream. Fantastic experience for someone just arriving in Bologna.

City centre walking tour
The walking tour is a nice way to learn about the history of Bologna and see some of the main landmarks. To enter the cathedral, you need to cover your shoulders and not be wearing shorts/dresses that are too short. Plan accordingly. It was our guide's first time doing this particular tour so it was a little less interactive that I had hoped but still very interesting.

A great day out for supercar lovers
Definitely take up the option to do a test drive.
Factory guided tours thru Lamborghini & Pagani. I could have spent days in the Ferrari museum. Lunch in a local family run restaurant was lovely. Communication from tour company was well handled & our driver (Ricci) was very knowledgeable.

A Great Day in Emilia-Romagna
One of the best day trips I've ever taken. We visited a cheese farm, a traditional balsamic producer, had a fantastic agriturismo lunch, and finished at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello — a genuinely perfect mix of food, culture, and excitement.
Everything was well organized, the guides were knowledgeable and passionate, and the food and tastings alone were worth the price. The Ferrari Museum was the cherry on top.
Highly recommend to anyone visiting the region. You won't be disappointed!

Our guide, Roberta, was...
Our guide, Roberta, was wonderful with excellent English. She talked enough but not too much like some guides can. She was informative and fun! The three production farms we toured were fabulous and so welcoming. Loved all the information, the sights, the smells, and especially the tastings!

Excellent relatively quick tour, highly recommend!
Christiano was an excellent tour guide and showed us many sights of Bologna. The history and tension between Bologna and the papacy/Rome was very interesting. He also showed how intertwined the University is with the city. Teens, parents and a grandparent - everyone stayed engaged and learned a great deal about a city we'd never seen before this trip.

Luca was our guide and he...
Luca was our guide and he was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave lots of restaurant and bar recommendations which was perfect info to get on our first night in Bologna. The food stops were delicious and Luca went out of his way to show us a few "secrets" of the town. Would highly recommend.

Bologna Food Tour
Mattia was a fablous guide! We walked and ate and drank our way through Bologna , leatning about its history and food culture. Always hand roll your pasta dough!
This was a great small group tour and I can’t recommend it enough. After the tour Mattia shared dining recommendations with the group via email.

Wonderful introduction to Bologna.
This tour provided a perfect introduction to the special cuisine of Bologna. We learned a lot and had fun along the way. And the food / wine we tasted was delicious.
Our guide Darren was fabulous; he was friendly and knowledgeable and very interesting. I would definitely take another tour with him in the future.

Fascinating experiences and great food
This is a day full of variety and learning, with the extra bonus of delicious food. Our guide gave us interesting background information on Bologna's history and culture and was very knowledgeable about the foods that are particular to this part of Italy.

A great experience the only point we would say as it was a Sunday and the traditional pasta making venue was closed we were taken to a fast food pasta store aka McDonalds pasta and it lost the authentic pasta making we were hoping for, the rest was great 👍🍷

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Often overshadowed by Italy’s more famous cities, Bologna offers a quieter, culture-rich base for exploring the north. As the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, it’s a top destination for food-focused travelers, and tours often include tasting regional specialties such as prosciutto, Parmigiano Reggiano, and balsamic vinegar. However, Bologna day trips go beyond food, with guided tours to nearby highlights including the Chianti wine region, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, and historic cities such as Ravenna. With round-trip transportation and local guides included, these tours make it easy to discover the best of Italy’s north in one day.
