Really enjoyed this trip . Got plenty of time to explore getzalugetxo and the walk there was well worth it. Mundaka and gernika are interesting places but require less time. Gernika has a replica of Picasso’s guernica plus, the non claustrophobic, can experience 5 minutes in a bomb shelter with realistic sound effects Lovely lunch in the sun at mundaka and the surfers were out in force . Guide was knowledgeable and obviously liked the places he was guiding round. Try to avoid a Monday if possible as some cafes , bars, shops and even parks were closed.

We really enjoyed our time with Gonzalo for this tour! He is very conscious of the service he’s providing and wants to deliver a great experience. He speaks English fluently, asked about any allergies/food preference, and is very knowledgeable having lived in or near Bilbao all of his life. He is extremely qualified with a masters degree in gastronomic tourism, so that, paired with his great taste, results in a tour of pintxos and drinks from the best bars in town that feels conversationally educating. We were only in Bilbao for the day so this was a great way to experience the gastronomic side of the city with a limited amount of time. As a plus, he was kind enough to send a list of recommendations for where we were staying (San Sebastian) so we could continue to experience amazing restaurants we wouldn’t had otherwise known about. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic and pleasant experience. Just a reminder to wear comfy shoes as it is a walking tour with intermittent stops throughout. We walked around Casco Viejo and saw all the great sights. But the best part was learning about Basque history and culture. I read a lot on Basque and Spanish history in advance, so was able to bring all my questions to Asier. He shared so much context and perspective. It made the rest of my time in the Basque Country that much better. I highly recommend it!

A really fantastic tour. It was so much more than I expected. The guide was real, very authentic, honest and enthusiastic. I felt the sights he took us to were not just the ones on the checklist but ones that provided insight into San Sebastián. Even the restaurant he took us to for lunch was less of a tourist trap, more of a local destination. He also went above and beyond to take us to a must see sight in Bilbao on the way back. Well worth the money.

Excellent experience, highly reccommend. Our guide Edwardo was very informative and the tours and tastings at the two wineries were very in depth. Depending upon the wineries visited there may be steep and uneven steps down into a very old cave. Late lunch was welcome and a delicious sampling of regional dishes.

Olaia was a great guide for our all day private tour. When faced with a sail away time for our cruise ship that was an hour earlier than expected she quickly made adjustments that still allowed us to cover all of our areas of interest. She is a treasure.

Mikel was absolutely amazing. He was super personable and interesting in his explanation of the food preparation and ingredients with useful tips. The final products of all the courses were award winning quality food. This experience was one of our best cruise ship excursions we've ever had and we can't recommend it enough!

My friend also enjoyed the tour, however we were disappointed that the meeting spot was not per the information we received. There was a couple on our same tour who received the same info about the meeting spot. The guide was told a different spot, so we lost 15 minutes or so of our tour trying to find each other; this was disappointing. The guide, Pilar was excellent and apologized for the mixup which was clearly the company's fault, not the guide's. I rated the tour 5 stars because of Pilar, and didn't want to punish her for the company's error. In the future, we hope the information of meeting spot will be clearer for the guide and the guests.
