What are people saying about Bergen

Wonderful and Engaging
Our guide, Serena, was amazing! Her knowledge of Bergen was insurmountable. She was a pleasant guide and funny as well! She checked in with the group throughout and informed us of what would proceed us (crowds, that she would explain something, etc). She was very engaging with the history and stories. She gave recommendations throughout the tour and pointed out great locations as well. If we could have her guide us in every city/town we would!

Amazing introduction to Bergen!
Ani was a terrific guide sharing interesting and historic facts about Bergen and showing us parts of the city we never would’ve discovered otherwise. Highly recommend taking this short 2 hour walking tour to get your bearings in Bergen and then you can truly appreciate the city on your own!

Outstanding food tour
One of the best tours on my trip. Magda was excellent. She is very knowledgeable about the city and the food; she told us many interesting facts about Bergen. I really enjoyed that our last stop took us up to Mount Floyen. What a beautiful view of the city after tasting excellent food at each of our stops

Great Overview with a Great Guide
This tour provides a great overview of the history and layout of Bergen. It's a perfect way to get introduced to the city. It has a little bit of everything. Don was a gracious, friendly and knowledgeable guide who was more then happy and qualified to answer all questions about this unique and lovely city!

Absolutely formidable...
Absolutely formidable experience of fjord seeing. Comfortable ship with the possibility of using the upper deck or stay inside. Bar with snacks and variety of soft and hot drinks available on board. Friendly guide was answering our questions about the history and modern life in Norway. Duration is optimal.

Best day of our 2 week trip!
My husband and I chose a private tour because he tends to get motion sickness on busses and we wanted to avoid large crowds. This was perfect! Our guide, Tim, was so knowledgeable and pleasant. We enjoyed waterfalls, a small town, and short fjord cruise with no large crowds! Lunch at the nature center was excellent.

Highly Recommend 5 Stars!!
Our experience with Segway of Bergen was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
Regina was incredible—friendly, knowledgeable, and so patient with our kids. She took the time to make sure they felt comfortable and confident, and her positive attitude made the entire experience fun and stress-free for everyone. It’s clear that she genuinely enjoys what she does and cares about making sure every guest has a great time.
If you’re looking for a fun family activity with outstanding customer service, I can’t recommend Segway of Bergen enough. A huge thank you to Regina for making our day so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Great service!
After traveling for more than 24 hours it was great to have our driver waiting for us. Our flight was late but it was no issue. He texted us to let him know when we were coming out with our baggage. He was very friendly, pointing things out on the drive from the Bergen airport into town. I would highly recommend this service!

One of the best tours of our trip
Our tour with Sami was wonderful! The tour route took us through a variety of beautiful areas. Sami provided a lot of information on the history of the Bergen area and lifestyle of Norwegians in a humorous and detailed presentation. One of the best tours of our trip!

Three-in-one guided tour of Bergen is definitely a must!
We boarded "Eric the Red" ship at Strandkaien 16 exactly at exactly 10 o'clock, although an employee had earlier mistakenly directed us to a ship across the harbor for a fjord cruise without checking that we had tickets for the three-in-one tour. Upon our return to Strandkaien 16, John, our tour guide, welcomed us aboard and we joined the other 4 members of his tour group at a table at the front of the ship. As the ship departed on time, John prompted us to introduce ourselves, where we were from and what we did for work (or in retirement), which put us all at ease. We spent the next several hours learning about Bergen and daily life in Norway. John kept us engaged with the history of Norway, the people and life on the sea, and daily life today in Bergen. He carefully avoided overloading us with excessive detail and kept the conversation flowing fluently and smoothly. Once the ship slowed in the narrow fjords, we hopped onto the upper deck to capture some "Kodak" moments and more stories of the life in the fjords. The time passed very quickly and before we knew it, we were back at the wharf and off-loading. We passed through the fish-market and onto the Bergenhus fortress which we toured as he regaled us with the colorful history starting in the pre-10th C, to the ship explosion in 1942 that blew its anchor to the top of the mountain and finally to today's royal family. We meandered the Hanseatic buildings on the wharf learning about the foundations weakened by the water and efforts to shore them up. From there we walked to the funicular and up to Floyen for a panoramic view of Bergen and the harbour. Fortunately, we had blue skies and little wind to appreciate the views from atop the mountain.
Thank you to John for a very informative and delightful tour. I think it's safe to say that every one of us had a great day and a very enjoyable tour.

Bergen Food and Culture Walking Tour
We spent a wonderful afternoon with Ole as our guide. Lucky for us, we were the only two in the group! Ole not only took us to great places to experience the local foods, but Ole was also an excellent historian. We learned so much about Bergen and the people who lived there, fought and worked there. A big fishing port, fires, military, royalty, etc. We experienced foods that we never had before such as fish cakes, brown cheese on a cinnamon roll, dried cod, veal and pork soup, apple juice (warm) with whipped cream on top, and ending up in an old pub for Norwegian beer. While sipping on a few beers, Ole explained the history, and paintings in this old establishment, which added to the experience. We highly recommend this tour and give Ole the highest recommendation.
