Best Private Tour of Antigua!
This was a private tour. When visiting other countries, my husband & I want to know the history and how "the locals" live. Except for a souvenir magnet, we aren't into tourist shopping. Our guide, Trevor, was amazing! He designed a personalized tour of Antigua and was very flexible if we wanted to add or decline visiting certain locations. Trevor's humor and pleasant personality made the tour quite enjoyable as he shared detailed information about all the places we visited. I suffer from severe spinal arthritis but the airconditioned SUV was extremely comfortable. Lunch was not included but at the end of the tour, Trevor was kind enough to drop us off at "Alligators"; a fantastic restaurant which served authentic traditional local food. The sautéed conch with coleslaw and steamed squash with sweet potatoes was to die for! I would highly recommend "Antigua Explorer Tour". Be sure to ask for Trevor.

We had a great time with...
We had a great time with Kim as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and handled the day very efficiently. This tour is on one of those mid size bus/vans which was somewhat difficult for a couple of older travelers taking the excursion that had mobility issues or used a cane and they struggled getting in/out or opted to not get out. This tour has stops with navigating rocks, slippery surfaces and a beach. If you have mobility challenges, this may not be the correct option for you.

Great Excursion to Stingray City
It is what they tell you it is, and it was a lot of fun! You get picked up at your meeting spot, taken to Stingray City, have a short presentation on land and then take a 10 minute boat ride to the floating docks where the stingrays congregate on a sandbar. The hosts were all making sure everyone was having a good time and it was a solid experience for my family. Our driver, Keanu, went above and beyond during the trip. We were staying on the other side of the island so had plenty of time in the van with him, but he did a great job and took care of us with everything once we got there. I would definitely recommend this trip!

Best adventure in Antigua
They picked us up from our hotel by boat which made us feel like celebrities. Then we boated a bit by various islands to learn about turtles and mangroves, but the highlight for me was hiking hell's gate. We navigated the island through natural tunnels and over bridges until we were on top of the world. It was challenging but rewarding. To stand between two bodies of water was very cool. After swimming back from the island we got to snorkel several times and in the grassy shallow area by bird Island we saw a sea turtle, others saw a ray. The second area we saw a reef and a variety of fish. We were offered juice or water throughout. The meal was a spread healthy, delicious and they met the vegetarians needs as well. Our guides were informative and helpful the entire way accommodating a variety of ages and abilities. Last we saw a giant frigate overhead as we returned to top off the day. I would not miss this tour we booked it last but should have booked it first.
