Phoenix was knowledgeable, very personable and gave us a lot of history on the island! She gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed at Shirley Heights. We did have to go to another resort to pick some other people up which made for a long ride, but she made sure we had fun!! We would highly recommend her!!

Thursday’s and Sunday’s are EXTRA BUSY. Get there early if you want drinks and food. Our driver, Mr Andrew was phenominal and super knowledgeable of the Island. He was also VERY patient with the large group we went with. Five stars to him.

We got a message to meet at the main gate...which was a hike up a hill... that was not a great start to the trip because most tours pick you up at the lobby and did not respond when I messaged for clarity...

Well the ride there was the highlight of the tour. Andrew the tour guide and ride there was outstanding, mixed personal Island experience with humor. Shirley heights beautiful but crowded, hard to get a drink and food and hard to sit and eat. Thinking for the view go up on a quiet night. Better pics better experience.

A fun evening with a steel band followed by reggae music . Fabulous views overlooking English Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard. Very busy with a multitude of tourists but Thursday is quieter than Sundays. Have to pay additional US$10 per person to enter, then the food and drink is also payable. A lovely taste of Antigua. We were lucky to have Andrew as our guide as he took us around Nelson's Dockyard afterwards for a little tour.

We would like to clarify that we were present at the pick-up point at the scheduled time, especially since there were other guests attending the same pick-up at your resort. During the roll call, two people stepped forward and answered “yes” when we called your name, which is why the transfer departed as planned.
Unfortunately, situations like this can happen: dishonest people do exist, and in this case both you and we were affected. Despite this, we still provided you with a full refund. We believe it would have been fair to mention this in the review as well, to give a more complete picture of the situation. We sincerely regret what happened.

This is a must do. We went on a Thursday night, Keanu was our driver. (He was great!) The music, food , scenery and smiling faces said it all. People from around the world watching the sunset and dancing together….we need more of this.❤️

Our driver Phoenix was amazing! Friendly, funny and accodating. Shes the best, cannot rave about her enough. Only wish was they picked up later from shirley heights as the festivities end at 930pm and pickup is 730pm.

Do yourself a favor and request Phoenix as your driver. She is amazing, funny and a true ambassador for Antigua. We learned more from her about the history and culture of this lovely island she calls home.
This excursion is a Wonderful way to spend time with the beautiful people of Antigua - having a delicious meal, conversation with them, listening to music and oh yeah - watch the sunset. It was a magical setting for an ending of a beautiful day!
Wear comfortable shoes as there is some slanted walking/maneuvering through the crowd.

Smooth booking process and kept updated around pickups etc…fantastic evenings entertainment with stunning sunset views. Perhaps could have stayed little longer as party was getting into full swing otherwise an evening well spent partying on this fantastic island.

Had a really good time. We were running late and they still waited for us which was nice. Our guide Andre was awesome. Antigua doesn't get much rain however it was a downpour when we went and we still had a great time. You do have to pay the entry fee of $10 U.S. dollars and you have to buy the food inside however it was worth it. The band was nice and I loved the steel pans, it gives the authentic feel of the island.
If you are looking for a quick get away from the resort this is perfect for a couple of hours. Price is sufficient for this type of tour

The view was very pretty however not much of a sunset, it went behind the mountain. It was also insanely crowded and very long lines with almost no shade. Band and vibe was fun.

Too crowded and space is too small to accommodate the large crowds. Lines were extremely long for the bar and food. We waited 1-1/2 hour in line for the food. Then there was hardly anywhere to sit. Some people sat on the grass and cats were surrounding them. It was not worth it and I don’t recommend it. This was not a street party where you have blocks of food everywhere to choose from. It’s one food participant and one long line that stretches to space. The food was good but I’m sure you can find good food elsewhere on the island.

Everything I read leading up to our trip to Antigua suggested that the twice-weekly sunset party at Shirley Heights was the one “can’t miss” activity when visiting the island.
Those recommendations turned out to be right on target. Other than the beautifully clear Caribbean water, the event was the highlight of our vacation.
The highlight is the view. The vista overlooking English Harbor and the mountains that frame it is nothing short of spectacular. Even though the clouds prevented us from getting the full effect of the sunset, it was still breathtaking.
But that’s only the starting point for a memorable evening. Come hungry, because the food is amazing. It’s a massive cookout with ribs that fall off the bone, BBQ and jerk chicken, burgers and fish available at very reasonable prices. It was by far the best meal we had during our week in Antigua. There’s also a bar that serves a great rum punch, in addition to other selections.
A large steel drum band provides Caribbean-flavor entertainment before sundown, then after the sun dips behind the mountain, the vibe shifts when a pop cover band takes over and an energetic dance party breaks out.
Our excursion had us leaving early, but I’m told that the festivities last until around 10 pm.
Here couple of tips if you go:
Bring cash. It costs $10 US per person to enter the park and while the bar and restaurant take cards, things move a lot faster if you use cash.
When you arrive, don’t stop at the first bar you come to to get your drinks. Walk through the building and get in line at the bar outside. Doing so will save you from having to stand in an extra line, because the bar outside behind the building is where they sell the meal tickets and there will be another line there.
Be prepared for a crowd. This is a popular event and a lot of people will be there. But don’t panic. The food line moves fast and they won’t run out. And there are enough tables (some under cover, some not) for everyone to sit down and eat. There’s also plenty of room for everyone to get a good look at the sunset.
We booked the ride in advance through Viator and went on a Sunday. I recommend this approach highly. Our driver Andrew was friendly and informative during the 35-40 minute drive across the island and we even introduced him to Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson on the way back!
It really is a “can’t miss” experience.
If you do only one off-the-resort excursion during your time in Antigua, this is the one!

I was charged for transportation but had to take hotel transportation now I am waiting on a refund. Very unclear directions. Shirley heights was nice but this package is misleading and doesn't include entrance to Shirley heights

You arrived 30 minutes late and you also want a refund? Everyone else understood the place of the meeting and the time, only you answered "RECEIVED" but you didn't understand anything! We waited for you for 14 minutes with other guests in the car, tired of waiting for those who have no respect to arrive on time for an appointment.
