Fun day. Great crew. Small children on our tour ( 2, 4 and 6) and it was a little nerve-wracking to have them onboard without required life jackets. Hells gate visit was great. I would recommend Hells gate, then mangrove tour, then snorkel at reef before stopping for lunch and floating. Seemed like it should have been $100 pp max. Beautiful but not my favorite excursion ever. Again, crew was very nice.

I started this tour in 1999 and modeled it after adventures that I got up to with my siblings and cousins growing up here in Antigua in the 70s and '80s.
We absolutely have life jackets for children. I'm interested that you not only assume that we don't but seem to have knowledge of marine regulations that I'm unaware of.
I have children of the same age who were born here and do not wear life jackets unless the weather is bad or if we are doing international travel between islands by boat.
I understand from the captain and crew that these children were not yours and that you complained not only that they were not wearing life jackets but also that the mother had a rum punch. I would never dream of telling you what to do but I can suggest something. If you really want to enjoy your day out on an Eco Adventure, you should try and spend more time looking at birds and stingrays than what other people are doing or not doing. Leave that to my very experienced captains and crew. It's what they do daily and have been doing for decades.
There's something else that kind of bugs me about your comment here and that is that the tour should have been $100 Max. Round trip this tour is over 40 miles, there's drinking water juices, sodas and even rum punch (at the end). We pick up and drop off at your hotels Beach. There is a full buffet lunch with banana bread for dessert.
You have one captain and two crew on board a purpose-built custom 52 ft power catamaran with high-tech propulsion systems brought in from New Zealand. There is snorkeling lessons and guided snorkeling, guided caving, and one-on-one service throughout.
Nowhere in the entire Caribbean can you find a full day tour with multiple stops and all of these things included for $100. In fact, most tours in the Caribbean which are half day (3-hour) tours WITHOUT LUNCH average $100. A 3-hour zipline tour where you have to get a taxi to the zip line is more than $100 and of course no lunch.
I can totally see somebody giving a four-star review for one reason or another but if your reasons are not based in fact then I have to respond.
I'm sorry it was nerve-racking watching other people's kids but I assure you we do have children's life jackets.

The best way to sum this up is Wow! The staff wad great. Capt. Dave runs a crew of comedy perfection. The jokes and laughs continued throughout the trip. The food was amazing.

David, Lilly and Amara were a smashing crew, very knowledgable. Seen lots of turtles, rays and birdlife. Hells gate was fabulous lovely to see the care they take with the birdlife there. Lunch was fab too. Highly recommended tour

David, Luca, and Lily were great. The food, hospitality, and destinations were great.
The downside was at the last stop the snorkel option was advanced swimmers and snorkelers in one group and those who wanted a leisurely snorkel in the other. Half of us chose the leisurely group including our 22 year old daughter thet thought it was rough too. We ended up passing the advanced group at one point. There was never a chance to actually see fish because we were having to swim in the current to keep up the whole time. It was honestly exhausting and it took the trip from being a 5 to s 4. I would just make sure that you specifically look for a snorkel experience where you can wonder with the group in certain sections if you are not an advanced swimmer. The first 2 spots that was allowed and those were great.
David also was great. He helped make sure my mask was on correct the whole time. I would take this trip again--I would just make sure that I could snorkel at the reefs that were specifically by the boat at the last stop.

Wonderful excursion! Very well organized! Crew makes sure your safety is priority! (David, Amara and Mark) highly recommend!

This was an enjoyable adventure. Captain and crew were very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about sharing their love for Antigua with others. The cliffs and snorkeling were amazing.

The Eco tour told you about the islands, birds and turtles. We saw turtles and stingrays. Some people enjoyed the snorkeling. Hells Gate was really cool to see and walk through. Lunch was delicious! David, Amara, and Lily were great tour guides.

They picked us up from our hotel by boat which made us feel like celebrities. Then we boated a bit by various islands to learn about turtles and mangroves, but the highlight for me was hiking hell's gate. We navigated the island through natural tunnels and over bridges until we were on top of the world. It was challenging but rewarding. To stand between two bodies of water was very cool.
After swimming back from the island we got to snorkel several times and in the grassy shallow area by bird Island we saw a sea turtle, others saw a ray. The second area we saw a reef and a variety of fish.
We were offered juice or water throughout. The meal was a spread healthy, delicious and they met the vegetarians needs as well.
Our guides were informative and helpful the entire way accommodating a variety of ages and abilities.
Last we saw a giant frigate overhead as we returned to top off the day.
I would not miss this tour we booked it last but should have booked it first.

This tour was amazing. It starts off a little slow as you are picking everyone up but then it gets going! Hells gate was amazing. You swing overland go thru caves and then climb up onto the arch. It's a bit precarious/challenging but thats part of the fun! It was a great experience. The snorkeling site was wonderful and the tpur food? It was the best ive ever had. I usually feed my tour food to the fish. But this was absolutely delicious. Pasta salad and BBQ chicken was the perfect combo! Ans that banana bread!! So so so good! Even the rum punch was good. Most tour companies make it too strong or just not good. This one you could taste the rum but it was delicious.

Had a great time exploring Hells gate island, swimming at Great bird island and snorkeling the reef. The crew was awesome and the food was delicious.
Ashley_B, Mar 2026
We saw lots of sea turtles, learned a lot about the area, and had a great time. Lunch was delicious and homemade. The captain and crew were friendly and helpful. My favorite stop was the hike up Hell's Gate.
diana_e, Mar 2026
David, Adino, and Lilly were top-notch hosts and crew, making sure we were safe and then informed on what natural life to look for in the sky, in the water, and on shore. Lunch was also excellent, and the rum punch given at the end of the day well worth the wait!
Skip_M, Mar 2026
Captain David, Mark and Lilly were AWESOME. Highly recommend! We saw lots of turtles, dolphins, and birds.

Crew were amazing and ensured we had a great experience
Saw rays and turtles

Captain David, Mark & Dino looked after us very well. Sadly, the weather wasn’t favourable with rain & grey sky, resulting in us not being able to make the scheduled snorkelling stop, however we were taken to a small beach where we could swim & snorkel, but it wasn’t as good as it could have been in better weather (nothing could be done about that!).
A few swam over to Devil’Rock, which was said to be pretty good.
Lunch was served on board & was very good, the rum punch even better (certainly had a kick!).
Overall an enjoyable day but better weather would have made it perfect!

Great day. Bit more expensive but worth it. Not surrounded with other boat trips. Covered a lot of ground👍
Rob_F, Jan 2026
This was a fun tour, but being in an open boat (30 persons on board) in only slightly choppy seas you do get extremely wet as they speed through the waves. It made us really cold and at one point I regretted going.
However the locations were good, and although a little dangerous on Hells Gate Island due to climbing up and down VERY sharp volcanic rock, the experience was memorable, and the crew were great.
The captain announced that the island visit was best taken by guests Aged 15-50, maybe this should be mentioned before booking, however I am 68 and reasonably fit so managed it ok, but if you are unsteady on your feet this is not the tour for you.
The food and drinks were good.
Dale_L, Jan 2026
Awesome trip! Friendly, knowledgeable, polite guides and Captain. Beautiful views. Need sturdy water shoes to hike at Hell’s Gate.
Richard_S, Jan 2026

Very good trip and have recommended to others at our hotel. Highlights were seeing 2 osprey which were spotted by the crew and also watching the turtles swimming in a natural environment. The lunch was very good and plentiful. Good size group and not overcrowded. All the crew were amazing.
Cheri_N, Jan 2026
We loved our time on this adventure! Captain David and his crew Dino and Mac(k) were fabulous. They had great personalities and were able to read the crowd well. Learning about the area and conservation efforts was a great perk. My husband and would highly recommend this tour and crew!
Leigh_L, Dec 2025
Learned a lot about the island. Beautiful! Snorkeling was ok not much marine like. Our crew was great. Would do again.
Julie_B, Dec 2025
This trip far surpassed all our expectations. The crew were so knowledgable of the areas we visited, extremely accommodating and created a warm, relaxed atmosphere. We saw an abundance of stunning se creatures, islands and birds. We could not recommend this trip highly enough

We had a lovely time on our boat tour. The guys were great. We only wished we had gotten in the water sooner.
Tatiana_T, Dec 2025
Great day , beautiful nature, crew was professional and caring. We went inside the cave which was one of the most memorable experience. .
Stacey_J, Dec 2025
It was incredible! Crew was very knowledgeable! Loved the snorkeling…saw quite a few turtles. The lunch was provided and also great!
AntonyTyndale, Dec 2025
A lovely day out on the water but the experiences were a little underwhelming and there were too many participants for it to be comfortable. Better to just find a snorkelling trip or a round the island boat tri.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Sorry we didn't find dolphins, whales enough turtles or rays. Some days are better than others out on the water navigating between beaches, islands, reefs and rocks. Glad it was still a lovely day.
Sue_C, Nov 2025
What a fantastic day spent on the water with these knowledgeable guys. Friendly, funny and so informative about the history and the wildlife. I highly recommend.
Sally_T, Oct 2025
This is the second time we’ve done this tour, 3 excellent snorkelling sites, turtle spotting and lots of historical and nature information. Food for lunch was good and crew amazing.
