The city of Évora has a historical center of the best preserved and rich in monuments of Portugal and that deserves the epithet of City-Museum. In 1986, the historic center of the city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Bone Chapel, the Church of San Francisco and the Roman Temple are some of the top monuments to visit in Évora. Still in Évora and following the Megalithic Circuit of the Alentejo, you can find the Cromeleque of the Almendres. Consisting of two separate premises, built between the end of the 6th and the 3rd millennium.C., this cromeleque is one of the largest and most important megalithic monuments in the world. At its height, the architectural ensemble would have more than a hundred monoliths, granite stones of various sizes, arranged in circular or elliptical shape. Of this hundred, there are still 95 monoliths in perfect state of conservation. This is our proposal for an amazing tour. But if the customer has any preference, we can try to adjust the itinerary.

Known worldwide for the roman temple, traces of this culture can be seen everywhere, providing an unforgettable connection with this distant past that left undeniable traces in the western world, in art, law or even democracy. The walled village of Monsaraz is located atop a hill overlooking the Guadiana River and the modern Spanish border. Archaeological evidence indicates that the village has been occupied, in some form, since prehistory – understandable given its important location. Monsaraz boasts historic monuments, traditional homes, restaurants, cafes, and shops selling locally made products. Particularly notable is the Castle of Monsaraz, built by the Portuguese King Dinis in the 14th century. Join us on this tour to discover the enchanting medieval village and castle of Monsaraz. We’ll start by picking everyone up at the Roman Temple in Évora, then embark on a scenic 45-minute drive to the historic village of Monsaraz. Your tour guides are professional archaeologists specializing in the history of the region and look forward to showing you this spectacular village.
