The sights were all very interesting and worth visiting, especially the Geghard monastery. Tour was very well organised and both driver and guide were excellent. Lunch was also good.

The highlight of the trip was definitely visiting the monasteries across the east of the country and we had a fantastic guide, Mikael, who was very informed and gave us a really in-depth explanation of all the sites we saw - from Garni temple to Sevanavank and Geghard monastery to lavash baking at homemade, authentic Armenian food for lunch. For a convenient and informative tour of Armenian history, culture and food, I couldn't recommend this tour enough.

We truly appreciate your heartfelt feedback! You’re always welcome to explore Armenia with us again!

It was really nice to find a tour that visited all these important spots. I changed my entire travel
itinerary to fit in in. At first I was overwhelmed as it was a huge bus tour w over 40 people but it was well organized and ran smoothly.
The Hyur office was central and easy to find and everyone super friendly, helpful, and knew English. I loved the wifi on the bus too and the guide I think his name was Kiren switched back and forth from Russian to English with ease.
It was a little hard to hear in the back row though as others were talking too. He should speak in the middle of the bus so all of us can hear him.
They also really helped me out as Fly one Armenia changed my flight to the middle of the night so they consented to hold my luggage so I could head to the airport immediately after the tour.

Your kind words mean a lot to us! We look forward to welcoming you again in Armenia!

Nice stops and delicious lunch. Guide was nice but should be less stressed and pushy about the time.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
We very much appreciate your highest mark! We will be very glad to organize your trips anytime you visit our lovely country!

The trip was really nice, especially the monasteries and seeing lake Sevan from up close. The bus was comfortable, and the tour guys was super nice.
My only issue is that the food was very poor. I paid 4500 Armenian Dram per person for a small portion of tasteless trout with stale rice. To me, a big part of these tours is to taste local cuisine, but this food was really poor.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the trip and the beautiful sights like the monasteries and Lake Sevan. We appreciate your comments regarding the food and will definitely review this with the restaurant to improve the dining experience. We hope to welcome you back for another tour in the future!

Very big bilingual group. Competitors offer better options. Very long lunch 2 hours, bad products on lunch. Guide has given good information, structured, very slow. Last point in Sevanavank we were very late, churches were closed already, guide knew about that.
Response from Host, May 2024
Thank you for sharing with us your opinion. It is important for us! We will certainly consider your comments.

It was a nice excursion out of the city visiting major tourist sites. Geghard monastery was unfortunately under restoration but was still good to visit.

This tour was not what we expected at all. I'm giving two stars because we got to see nice places, but the program was quite different from what they offered.
First of all, our guide didn't seem very happy working that day, and this definitely affected our mood. His English wasn't the best, plus his not excited, bored, and indifferent tone really annoyed us.
The group was very big, and the bus was uncomfortable. They said they offer free water, but there was no water left in the second half of the tour. In the description they mention "lavash cooking masterclass", but in reality we just got to see two women making lavash. Actually, we could hardly see anything, as there were 40 people surrounding the place where they cook. What annoyed me the most was that the guide said we could try and make lavash ourselves, but when I asked to do it, I was informed we didn't have time left. Only 2 people got to try, in a group of 40+ people.
In the description, it clearly mentions Lake Sevan and Sevanavank as two different parts of the tour. We had planned to take pictures at Sevanavank and spend some time there, and after that, go down to the lake and chill a little. To our surprise, the guide said we only had 1h to see both. The bus stopped by the lake, and it took us 20min to go up to Sevanavank, and plus 10min to go down to the lake. We didn't have time to do what we planned.
In more than 2 occasions, we were informed about having little time. Nonetheless, our "typical Armenian lunch" (French fries and friend chicken) took us more and 1h30...

Thank you for the review! We believe there was a misunderstanding as Karen is one of our most required tour guides and one can make sure in it reading thousands of excellent and heartwarming reviews about him.
We will certainly take all your comments into consideration.
Hope there will be another chance to host you in Armenia again!

Your operator was Hyur; guide was Monia (sp?). Well-planned, well-executed. Timing at each stop was just right. Monia did an excellent job speaking in both English and Russian. At monastery and temple, she did separate English and Russian tours while the other group had free time.

I spent a wonderful day visiting these 3 spots in Armenia. Both Garni Temple and Geghar Monastery are impressive. The sceneries from Lake Sevan are really stunning. We had some free time in all the places after the guide explanation. We also had a lavash baking master class before lunch at the restaurant, which was interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The excursion was very well organized. I highly recommend it .

What a wonderful trip and a great guide. Mania was amazing, she was perfect with both languages , Russ and English.
The food in the way to Sevan was very tummy and the host was such a generous man.
I will definitely choose Hyur next time .

We saw a lot on this tour! The bus was big and comfortable and air conditioned. Sometimes it was hard to understand the guide. The tour also went a bit longer than expected by an hour or so. Lunch was delightful! Would recommend if you want to see a lot in a short time :)

Our guide Mr. Tigrat was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic day in Lake Sevan. We learnt about history, art, culture and much more. We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy with our tour guide - he was great and spoke excellent English. Time and money well invested. Drvier, Arman drives carefully and safely.

We were picked up on time.
The tour departure was on time.
Rose, our guide was wonderful. So enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was obvious she loves her job and her country.
Also the driver was very good, a nice man gentle driver. He cooked potatoes on the stove at lunch time.😊
I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had a great time on this tour on which you get to see several sites (view of Ararat, pagan temple, monastery, Lavash bread-making, Lake Sevan). Our guide Rose was very kind and fun, she gave us a lot of interesting information. It was impressive to see how she managed to do this tour bilingually (English and Russian). I would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Andreas_R, Jul 2021
Well organised tour, informed und knowledgable guide, good programme, modern bus and free wifi. But sometimes it felt that the Russian participants got quite more information and funny anecdotes, the English just the must haves. That was sad. And nobody cared that more than half of the group wasn’t wearing face masks. Hey, it’s COVID, also in Armenia :(
Response from Host, Jul 2021
Thank you for the review! Nice to hear that you have liked the tour overall! Regarding the tour languages, believe us that all the guides always pay similar attention to both of the language groups, the matter is that sometimes one of the group members asks some more questions than another and the impression is that guide tells more in one of the languages. We will anyway draw your review to the attention of the guide to consider it for the future! As for the masks, they are always available at all of our transportation means, but wearing them is not obligatory, so the travelers may decide to wear it or not.

Great tour with Sam and Harut. Sam was really knowledgeable about all of the locations and we had ample time to see them all. Would highly recommend this tour!

Our guide facilitated this tour extremely well, and a lot was included. The lunch in the orchard was lovely, and the sites we visited were amazing.

This was a great day-trip to see and learn about some historical sites and attractions of Armenia. I totally enjoyed it and would certainly recommend it to others. The entire trip was made very pleasant by our excellent tour guide Vard (not sure if I got her spelling right). She single handedly managed a bus full of tourists in such a lovely and patient manner. And more important, was always there to answer questions and share with us so much about the history of Armenia. A word of thanks to the driver Narik as well for driving us safe.
