I would recommend people go on this tour the first day they can. That way they will know more about the area and what they might like to do on their trip.

The city looks outstanding at night, Very fun, a lot of walking, the history is very fun to learn about. I liked how the tour guide explained everything well, still keeping it entertaining with breaks, and his dog Wiley, was really cute.

The tour was great! Richard has a rich knowledge of Victoria and its history. He is very light-hearted/humorous and made the tour fun. Richard also gives great city recommendations (e.g. additional things to see/do, food and drinks). I would recommend.

More standing than walking. Beautiful city and tour guide gave lots of information about settlement of city. It was different than usual description that Victoria tourism has always described the city as a little bit of old England. Guide was very professional and researched facts that were of little interest.

Good historical knowledge of Victoria
Very hard to hear the leader as the amplifier didn't do much good.
Quite disjointed, not an easy story to follow, lost interest early.

A clear, easy-to-follow narrative is the backbone of our tours, and it is incredibly frustrating when technical issues get in the way. We apologize that the amplifier wasn't working effectively; navigating city noise is always a challenge, and our equipment should be doing a much better job of ensuring everyone can hear comfortably.
We will be addressing this directly with our Victoria team to check our audio gear and review our tour pacing to ensure the story flows smoothly and remains engaging from start to finish. Very good tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. It was about three hours total, but it was not walking a long distance. Walks were short distances and then stops for discussion. I recommend you go to the Empress Hotel after the tour for a drink at the newly renovated bar. Very nice!

Small group, Luis was very good at making sure everyone was able to hear him and involving attendees along the way to discover details about historical details. We saw lots of important historical landmarks which helped us appreciate Victoria even better.

Not as expected. Guide was pretty poor. Not a lot of history. Didn't even tell us about the parade that happened while we were walking around, so we missed it. Not loud enough most of the time. I wouldn't do it again.

Our tour started with massive confusion about the starting place. Opening the Viator booking, Meetup/Drop Off details, it said to Meet up 2pm, Drop off at Start Point, but didn't list a Start Point. My notes said one place, the picture showed another. Apparently, the tour company sent an email detailing a third place that I didn't see. It was a frustrating start. The tour guide agreed to pick us up where we were and she was really nice, but she basically told us what things were, but not much by way of storytelling. We were guided to some places we hadn't discovered ourselves, the pace was good, and being tips-based, we could decide what it was worth to us, but overall, it wasn't a very compelling tour. I only gave this 3 stars because Viator says 3 stars is Average, and this tour was average at best.
