The tour itself was fine. The operator could not control the rain, so the water activities were somewhat limited. However, they combined our bus with another tour, and we spent close to two ours dropping them off, returning to the city and going to our excursion. After we got picked up, we again repeated the exercise. Since their excursion was about 30 minutes from the city, out-back-out-back. Lots of time seeing the same thing. Again, our tour was fine...just the way that the tour operator handled the other tour was terrible.

My wife and I got our money well worth through a very professional and personable service from Chris, part owner/driver of Yumi Tours. In the mid-size SUV Chris took us to Hideaway Island, where after a short local boat ride to it, we snorkel and sent postcards using a very unique method - the underwater post office! Then there was the second part of the excursion consisting of swim/tubing in the river combined with very delicious and sizeable lunch at Eden Farm owned by Australian/New Zealand very outgoing couple. The last part of the excursion was the visit to Blue Lagoon, to swim and jump from various platforms and ropes in brackish water. The whole excursion was very well organized and I would recommend Yumi Tours in a heart beat.

This was such an amazing day out, with the perfect amount of time spent at each stop. Our guide, Julian, was the loveliest man who provided so much information about the area and communities you pass on the commute to each place. Julian even took me to a kava bar after the tour to experience kava drinking with locals! Such a wholesome and happy day spent, I highly recommend, thank you so much!

Blue Lagoon was amazing!! The food and waterfalls at Eden River were phenomenal and Hideaway Island is gorgeous. The snorkelling at hideaway was slightly underwhelming but you can see they’re making an effort to regrow it, the underwater post office is cute.
The tour guide Alfred was incredible, so knowledgeable and just happy. 10 out of 10.

Well-organised trip with a friendly, professional guide who explained everything clearly—even with different itineraries in the group. I was the only one going to Hideaway Island, and they made sure I was looked after every step of the way.
They were kind enough to make a quick stop so I could buy a phone charger, and also helped other travellers exchange currency on the way back—such thoughtful service!
Blue Lagoon was the highlight, but Hideaway Island and Eden on the River were also fantastic.
Tip: Bring two towels—you’ll be in and out of the water all day!

We had a great trip with Vincent and Julian.
Pick up from the cruise ship went smoothly. We had a great snorkel at Hideaway Island. then it was off to Eden on the River for another great swim and bbq lunch. after that we stopped at a turtle sanctuary and then another swim at the Blue Lagoon.
Vincent was a great guide explaining things along the way and Julian was a very safe and competent driver. We were back to the cruise ship on time and had a lovely day out. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip when you are in Port Vila.

Great day out very helpful staff will take you around the island and give you good history and local knowledge of the areas you pass and visit. Definitely worth doing when staying in Vanuatu.

We had a nice day. The locations were beautiful. The organisation of the day could have been better though. There was no explanation of what we were doing and what to expect, and people on the tour were confused as there were people on the same bus but doing different things. When I asked for clarification, the guide said he had been doing it for many years and to trust him. There was no guide so when we got to our destination there was no information. At Eden on the River I would have loved to do the suspension bridge walk and didn't know you needed to get the harness from the cafe. By the time we worked it out, it was time to go to the next place.

My family and I had a great fun filled day with Dixon our guide. This tour had so much packed into and really was value for money. My favourite part was the trip over to Hideaway Island to snorkel the reef. Highly recommend to families as it was a hassle free day and we got to fit a lot in.

Not worth the money you pay for this trip, hideaway island is very average. The underwater post office is the only thing that was good, poor service at Bar, everything is expensive. I would just pay local bus 400VT to take u there, pay your own entry fee to island. Same goes for Blue lagoon. Do your research. Talk to locals about how the local bus service works, don’t use Taxi

While we accept the criticism we'd also like to point out a few things. Had you done your research properly which you clearly didn't you wouldn't have booked so late (less than 10 hours prior to the tour).
We've reviewed our staff regarding your tour and it appears that you two had a rather grumpy attitude while the other guests who shared the tour for the other two stops were quite happy with the experience.
We certainly can't please everyone but we'll always do our best to improve.

We had a great day, loved the Blue Lagoon and Hideaway Island. During the trip we asked driver where was a good place to buy fish, he showed us and took us there - was actually on our way home, we also went to a bakery and some shops in the town, we stopped for ice cream and bought the guide and driver an ice cream - when they took us back to our house - they then informed us we owed them another $5,000 VTs - this sadly spoilt what was a very enjoyable day. He should of mentioned the charge when he offered to take us

Hello Sian, we appreciate you having the time to review our service. I had to consult our team who were responsible for your trip on the day. We usually don't offer additional runs once we complete our fixed itinerary. Apparently you had some errands to do which our guide did advise of an additional charge of 2000VT (NOT 5000VT) for transportations costs as it would take a bit more time before they would eventually drop your group back at the Reef House.
You may have ended up giving them more than what they actually charged you (5000VT which you have pointed out in your review).
Maybe it was just a problem with communication. We regret that this has spoilt your end of the day. Your feedback will help us improve our services as well.

Hideaway island was closed. They haven't started operation yet.
Instead of hideaway, we were agreed to go to eden river for a swim.
Philip was friendly and guided us to nice things such as VANUATU special Kawa for free.

We loved the tour. There were only five of us, which was almost a private tour. Hideaway Island with its underwater post office is just a fun experience. Even if it is already quite "run down". Be sure to take diving goggles with you, otherwise the mailbox slot is not to be found. Eden by the river is a place with lots of beautiful nature and you can have a lot of fun (or bounce your ass while tubing), can just happen. The lagoon was also very nice to look at and the fun in the water continued. It was usually only an hour in each place, but you saw a lot for it. We thought it was well timed. Transfer and info were good, we can recommend the tour and Yumi.

Nous avons fait appel à Yumi tour plusieurs fois pendant notre séjour. Nous avons toujours pu réserver la veille pour le lendemain et ils ont pu répondre à toutes nos questions et nos demandes sans problème (même lorsque nous souhaitions faire des excursions qui n’étaient pas proposées sur Viator). Toutes les excursions que nous avons effectuées avec eux étaient parfaites en plus d’avoir des prix très compétitifs par rapport à d’autres prestataires. Les chauffeurs et les guides étaient tous très bienveillants et instructifs.
Merci à tous nos chauffeurs ainsi qu’à Julien, Vincent et Philippe pour nous avoir permis de passer une semaine exceptionnelle au Vanuatu.
Je repasserai par leur service sans hésiter lors de notre prochain séjour au Vanuatu.
