Overview

Head to the silversmithing village of Celuk, not far from Ubud, for a truly intimate hands-on jewelry making class—with a maximum of four travelers to your tutor. Whether you're thinking of starting your own jewelry business or just want to create the perfect Bali souvenir, you'll pick up tips, tricks, and techniques. You'll leave with a beautiful piece of your own design and receive photos of your experience too.

Gem of an afternoon

This was such a fun and amazing experience. I was welcomed by our host Mirah who introduced the session but also stayed with us throughout the session doing a wonderful job of interpretation which I wasn't expecting . The great thing about Sunsri is you get to work 121 with a jewelry artisan mine was Nengah who was just brilliant. I made a ring of my own design got involved in all aspects of making it while being patiently guided by Nengah. I even had some time and silver left over so they suggested I make something else so I did. Also got a certificate at the end with some nice tea and snacks 😁 Great value for money do think about what you want to make and how much silver you need to make it my 6grams made one main ring and a second lighter one. Super fun Super engaging Super nice staff and artisan. Thank you Sunsri.

Great half day experience

Half day jewellery making was a great way to make a memory from our holiday. After choosing the items we wanted to make from a catalogue (you don’t get a free choice) we were assigned a teacher each who then helped us each make the rings of our choice. (Could have been pendants or earrings too) More or less help required according to complexity and past experience. The teachers were kind and spoke good English but there were also staff on hand to further translate and a photographer. We also had a tour of the workshop upstairs (which was very different to the teaching workshop) and saw the skills of the men making all kinds of jewellery which was fascinating. Finally the large collection of temptation was then on show to buy 💍💎😂 the workshop didn’t have aircon but did have windows open and fans to try to keep the heat down and we were given welcome drinks and snacks as well as bottled water within the fee. They said the photos would be sent to our email after a few days but I haven’t had them yet.
