Half Day Tunis Tour

The guide and driver were both very professional. There was a mixup in communication at the commencement of the tour which was not their doing. The guide displayed great knowledge of his subject and as a result enlightened all the group with his knowledge of his country’s history. Would highly recommend the tour.

Wonderful half day in Tunisia

We really enjoyed our tour of Tunisia. We had a driver and a guide and both were very informative and accommodating. There was a minor delay to start of our tour because we were waiting for them inside the cruise port while they were waiting for us outside. They sent us a message the day before on the meeting place, but since we have no WiFi on board nor in Africa we did not pick it up. They phoned us when they didn't see us so we met up a few minutes late. They drove us to the city where the driver dropped us off with the guide. Our guide (Hichem?) was very knowledgeable. He had travelled a lot himself and we couldn't believe it when we found out he was fluent in Japanese! We are Chinese and can read some Japanese characters and can tell his Japanese calligraphy is excellent. He also gave us a quick lesson on Arabic calligraphy. At end of tour, driver picked us up and drove us back to the port. Since they are not permitted to go inside the port, perhaps this should be noted a few days earlier for the travellers, as some travellers may not have access to WiFi. But overall, we were very glad we had this tour and with the driver and tour guide.

My worst tour ever in my life . Not worth One dollar. Rude guide. Spends more time speaking on phone than us. Terrible pick up. Avoid at all costs. I informed the local tour provider. Apparently guide fired. I am a travel agent from Canada.

A Lots of Walking Tour of the Medinas, Local Sites and Markets

We were a group of four adults, two have difficulties walking fast and for long periods of time. The tour advertises an "air conditioned vehicle", so I assumed it was a combination, walking, driving tour. In September it is over 100 degrees and extremely humid in Tunis. Had I known it was 4 plus hours of walking I may not have booked. We enjoyed navigating the medinas, visiting some of the off beat neighborhoods, the seafood and open markets etc., but our guide, although he was very knowledgeable and personable, walked at an extremely fast pace, at times far ahead of our group, even though I implored him more than once to slow down.

Wonderful tour inside Tunis Medina, we have visited both the half where Tunisian go to buy everyday goods and the more turistic one. They were both very interesting thanks to our guide (I’m sorry I forgot his name, but he speaks Italian and was going to get married in few weeks after our tour on 15 June). He showed us many hidden spots that were impossibile to be found by ourselves! I really suggest to take this tour!

TOUR prenotato e pagato giugno 2024 ma saltato

Avevo per tempo organizzato e pagato il tour a Tunisi facendo la crociera con MSC nel mediterraneo -tour mezza giornata con guida parlante italiano e autista. La sera prima del mio arrivo a Tunisi , mi arriva via mail, il programma con i contatti delle persone incaricate a fare il nostro tour, quindi il tutto confermato e io mi rassicuro che sia a posto ( eravamo in 3 , io, mio papa' e mia mamma ). Ho organizzato il tour privato perchè mio papa' è anziano. Detto questo, la mattina, 5 minuti prima di scendere dalla nave ricevo una telefonata dall'agenzia locale e mi dicono che la guida parlante italiano non è disponibile perchè malata. Dico a loro che va bene lo stesso inglese o francese , io parlo entrambe le ligue ( stavamo scendendo , non avevo alternative ) e mi fornisce un cellulare per il contatto. Dico e ri-dico che quando scendo dalla nave il cellulare non prende ( pensavo non fosse un problema visto che era già tutto programmato ) contatto il numero fornito e il tipo non mi risponde. Chiamo di nuovo l'agenzia locale, spiego di nuovo il tutto e mi dice che ci avrebbero pensato loro. Do' alcune info per il riconoscimento , es. mio papà porta il cappello rosso e la maglietta rossa, mi rispondono che è tutto ok. Scendiamo dalla nave , percorriamo la strada per arrivare al punto di ritrovo. Nel frattempo io avevo in mano il foglio della prenotazione e ogni tanto chiedevo alle persone che incontravo se era giusta la strada . Arrivo al punto di ritrovo , chiedo info e nessuno conosce o nessuno trovo lì ad aspettarci. c'erano 37° e faceva un caldo infernale. Aspettiamo 5 minuti sotto il sole dopodichè si avvicina un ragazzo e ci chiede se avevamo bisogno di aiuto, faccio vedere a lui la prenotazione e mi dice... lì avanti c'è un poliziotto , prova a parlare con lui che ti aiuta. Chiedo al poliziotto, gentilissimo, il quale chiama un suo amico e contattano l'agenzia parlando in arabo . L'agenzia risponde loro che non sanno quando arriveranno tra 15/30 minuti , 1 ora . A me è venuto il panico , presa dal nervoso più assoluto, dico al poliziotto con gentilezza , di richiamarli e di pretendere il rimborso . Li hanno chiamati e hanno detto che ci avrebbero rimborsato la cifra già pagata . abbiamo preso un taxi nei paraggi e abbiamo fatto una mini escursione della città. Quando risalgo sulla nave , trovo vari messaggi dopo 1 ora dalla mia discesa dalla nave con vari numeri di telefono per nuovi incaricati . Disorganizzazione assoluta ( quello che scrivo è comprovato dai messaggi che ancora non ho cancellato ) alla fine dopo 2 settimane sto aspettando il rimborso ... e non so quando mi arriverà - mai più viator

Abbiamo aspettato pazientemente fino alle 11:15, sperando di trovarti. A seguito della tua richiesta di rimborso, la nostra direzione ha preso la decisione eccezionale di rimborsarti integralmente, al fine di compiere un gesto commerciale nei confronti dei tuoi genitori. Vi abbiamo informato di questa decisione per telefono e per iscritto e disponiamo di tutte le prove di questo rimborso. Siamo sorpresi di leggere i tuoi commenti negativi, visti gli sforzi che abbiamo fatto per risolvere questo problema e soddisfarti.
