Very convenient tour that transport you between Split and Zagreb without having to go back to the original city. The pace at the national park was great, not wasting time staying idle. Our guide Ivana was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Wonderful seamless experience of transfer to Zagreb from split with Plitvice in the middle Mia was an excellent guide, very warm and made a very balanced itinerary with the time. Plitvice is a must see and this was a fantastic way to do so!

Ivanka our guide on this tour was very helpful, friendly and made the whole tour more interesting and lively by sharing lots of fact, having friendly interactions individually and helping us take lot of photos. I would highly recommend this tour with Ivanka.

It was the best way to transfer from one place to another, very smooth ride going from Split to Zagreb. And of course Plitvice is a must see place especially for nature lovers. Very awesome place!

The transfer from Split to Zagreb & the Plitvice tour was very good. Mia our tour guide was excellent. The driver & tour guide for the bus to Zagreb was very nice to drop us off at the train station so we won’t miss our train. This tour is excellent.

Mate was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job which made the trip very enjoyable. He made sure no one got lost yet waited patiently for everyone to take the required photos. He guided us through the whole tour, unlike other tour guide who left you part way to wonder around yourself. Waterfalls were beautiful and you would not have to do another waterfall tours like Krka waterfall or Kravice.

While this makes for a long day, this was an excellent tour and transfer. Ivanka showed us all of the lakes and falls and made sure we had plenty of memories of this beautiful place. I am glad we spent the time to tour and hike the long route through to see the sites.

The park was spectacular and it was so convenient for us to be able to transfer and head to Zagreb. Mia was a good tour guide and kept us together which was not easy. Really enjoyed the experience.

Plitvice Lakes is simply spectacular…even when it’s raining! The day was chilly but it did not take away from the beauty of the falls! The transfer from Split to Zagreb worked out quite well and our bus driver let us off across the street from our hotel in Zagreb which saved us more walking and we really appreciated it. Our guides, Sanja and Mia were great!

Starting with the positives:
We successfully transferred to Zagreb with all of our luggage intact
The lunch stop and food recommendations from the guide was an unexpected delight
The guides were nice people with good intentions (just execution was not ideal)
However, I could not in all good conscience recommend this experience to other travellers. It was stressful and chaotic with 56 people in the group being yelled at by guides. Far too big of a group to be controlled by 2 people. It felt like military pack march! The guide also managed to leave 2 people behind despite everyone on the bus saying 2 people were missing. A number of group members had mobility issues and could not do this trip - this issue was never highlighted during the booking process. I probably would've worn hiking boots has I known more.
I would like to suggest to other travellers to seek an alternative and see the park independently.
I would like to suggest to the tour company that they use coloured wrist bands or similar to identify their group members. I would also like the tour company to provide more information about what to expect and what to bring - I did not receive anything other than confirmation.

A nice way to get from Split to Zagreb. It is sort of $$$ but also has some piece of mind getting you to one city to the next. The pick up was easy and straight forward with the tour group. Just check in and they will direct you. The bus ride was comfortable and made stops for food and bathrooms along the way.
The park was in busy season so obviously there was a ton of people. Walking with a tour group was fine just seemed like we got in the way sometimes but again there was just so many people there in general. It was a beautiful park and worth the trip. Our guide Ivanka was great and gave us so much knowledge of the park and the country of Croatia.
After we had lunch at a local restaurant and our luggage from the split bus was transferred to the Zagreb bus. Was a long trip but over all enjoyed the day!

Took transfer bus from Split to Zagreb with Plitvice Lakes included. Just amazing day. Ivanka was our tour guide, extremely enthusiastic and helpful, very knowledgeable of the area, very obliging. Fantastic waterfalls. Loved it all
Joanna_L, Jul 2024
Make sure you are at the meeting point half an hour before and know that you have to pay in cash thirty five euro per person for the park entry. If you are even a few minutes late they will leave you behind. Have comfortable shoes for walking and if summer plenty of water to drink. Our Guide Ivanka is also a park ranger and this fact along with her obvious passion for nature makes the tour part of this trip exceptional. The pick up point and start of the trip is chaotic and as a consequence many people are left behind. Make sure you are there much earlier than start time to avoid what can be extremely stressful situation and exactly what holidays are not about!!

Loved, loved, LOVED Plitvice Lakes National Park! It was a great way to see the park and transfer from Split to Zagreb without back tracking. Our guide, Ivanka, was amazing. She truly loves what she does and loves sharing the splendor of Plitvice Lakes with us. I am so happy we did this tour. It was a lot of walking, but Ivanka broke it up well and had stories to tell about the park and made the day fun. She also made sure we knew where good pictures locations were! This same tour went back to Split, but we changed buses after the park and after lunch to the bus that started in Zagreb. Thanks Ivanka!

Great way to get from Split to Zagreb. Amazing views and a great hike. Great local lunch, and time to sleep afterwards on the bus.
Zoe_L, Jun 2024
The guided tour to Plitvice was very good and I even tipped the tour guide because she was professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. However is the package worth EUR 150 if lunch and entrance fee to the national park were not included? I have doubts. Next time I probably would book other means of transportation on my own. If you have a lot of money to splurge AND if you are too lazy to look up other tours, this is not a bad option.
Jodes_P, Jun 2024
Absolutely fabulous day visiting this national park. The guide Ivanka was extremely enthusiastic about the park and shared so much knowledge about Croatia in general and the Park in particular. I chose the tour that then went on to Zagreb instead of returning to Split and it was a very good way to get between the two cities.

Wow!! This tour was so incredibly amazing! First of all, our guide Ivanka was so professional, guiding us on the comfortable bus ride and through the park, with great history, explanation, and infectious fun along the way! Her personality is 100% perfect for this job, caring for each person, in order that they have a beautiful experience. And the lakes, so amazingly filled with awesome beauty, the waterfalls, the walks through the green natural setting! The lunch was delicious at a local place, as we stopped to refresh our bodies. It was a trip that far exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to dive into the wonder it presents! (For completion of my review, I did transfer to Zagreb from our lunch stop)

We were able to get from split to Zagreb in a convenient way with sightseeing along the way. It was summer so the park was very crowded, and that did take away from the beauty of the park. in hindsight I learned that longer walks are available to get deeper in the park and avoid crowds but for our timeline this was really all we could do. Regardless Ivanka was a great and knowledgeable guide so we were happy to take a trip with her

I wish I could give separate reviews for Viator, the tour operator, the tour itself, and the guide!
2 stars for Viator. I'm disappointed that I was charged the same as the reserved price even after the tour operator removed the entry fee to the park between my reservation and the charge. [The tour name on my reservation is "Split to Zagreb Group Transfer with Plitvice Lakes Tour (Included: Entry Ticket)".] I was asked to pay for the entry fee at the start of the tour, cash only, despite this not being mentioned in the updated tour description (which reads like you just buy tickets at the park). Viator is unwilling to refund me, meaning they are completely OK with an operator's bait-and-switch. If the tour amenities are reduced, its price should be reduced accordingly or the amenities of the reserved booking should be honored. Not even a courtesy *credit* was offered to me as a first-time guest.
In addition to the above, I offer feedback to the tour operator to include in the description that the group meets up with another coming from Zagreb. Those on a day tour from Split or Zagreb return to their starting point on the same bus, and those in transit change buses. This is a clever arrangement and also a bit confusing/disorienting when not explained until it's happening.
5 stars for Ivanka, who is a phenomenal guide. She visits the park and meets dozens of new people 5 days a week, and every day is fresh and exciting to her. Her enthusiasm for her job, for nature, and for life are contagious. She is an incredible spirit. And the park is beautiful, obvi.

Ivanka's excellent skill as a guide. She made everyone completely comfortable and confident. As a single senior traveler, I had a wonderful time and felt that Ivanka cared about all of us. I was traveling on to Zagreb alone and my phone was dying; she helped me get it charged during lunch.

Hmm.. not sure where to start… I think my partner and I were spoiled from previous AMAZING tours we had taken (not with this group), that honestly spoiled everything. The main reason for the poor review is the cost.. I have no idea what my AUD250 went towards. The only good thing about the day (Plitvice Lakes) wasn’t even included (and cost a WHOPPING €35). Plus, we were just ushered into the park for a “self-guided” walk around with 1000 other people, with no guide, no explanation, and to top things off we had to wait 30 minutes for other members of our group that had missed the initial bus, and then wait another 20 to find other members who had gotten lost in the lakes, because it was so poorly organised (our group was WAY too big). Did we get that time back? No. We were rushed through our lunch, to then pile on a bus in silence for another 2 hours.. no chatting, explanations, or “guiding”. So I put it to you… what are you paying for? The most expensive bus ride ever? I recommend just taking a bus out to the lakes, having your day there, and taking a different bus to Zagreb.. it would literally be the same experience, but you would save yourself $200. Our guides were lovely, I feel bad for them being part of such an awful company. Go with someone else (Funky Tours/Dream Balkan Tours) or pay for a bus. I’m still genuinely horrified that I paid for it.

The tour was well-paced. The guide, beautiful Ivanka, deserves special thanks - to your passion, to your attendance to everyone and mostly, to your big smile.

So I messed up and booked for the wrong date. Yes I am the dummy here.
But when I reached out to the tour operator to see what could be done they indicated that there were no refunds. I stated I didn't want a refund I just wanted to reschedule even if it meant they charged me an additional fee. They replied that the tour had passed and there were no refunds. So they are basically keeping my $154. I understand the concept of no refunds but the way they make it out is like this is a cake ...it's been baked and you missed it. This is a bus ride! You can easily charge me a "you are a dummy fee" and put me on another bus. Customer service by this company is nonexistent.

This trip from Split to Zagreb with a stop at Plitvice was perfect for our group of three. Mia was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about the history and cultural aspects of the area. Besides that she was super friendly! The lakes were AMAZING and it was nice to end in Plitvice.
Eric_V, Apr 2024
We had a very comfortable ride between split and Zagreb. What made it even more enjoyable was our tour guide Mia. As we left the coast and made our way into the mountainside she did a wonderful job of balancing historical information with current events. The time at the lakes was worthwhile, lots to see. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking.
Paula_d, Oct 2023
The trip to the lakes was quite long and a little squashy in the van ! Our guide was hard to hear and this was frustrating … at the lakes he was attentive , kind and informative . He took us on the most wonderful tour and then we went to a fabulous restaurant gif a late meal before I continued onto Zagreb where I was delivered to my doorstep / all so smooth
NANCY_A, Oct 2023
The park is awesome- a must see. And if you need to go from Split to Zagreb, this is a very good option. A bit expensive, though.
Mark_N, Oct 2023
This was our second time on a Plitvice lakes tour, as it is a fantastic place.
Unfortunately this time, this tour went a different way inside the park and missed getting up close to many of the key attractions in the gorge and inner circle path area around entrance 1
Maybe worth checking on the planned walk this tour will take, as this tour operator missed some best parts
Thierry_B, Sep 2023
Plitvice lakes were beautiful and the guide very friendly. However, transportation in the minibus was very uncomfortable. Somehow they had put 4 seats wide in the back. I was stuck next to a large person and had to ask to change seat. The suspension was bumpy and as a result everyone in the back had their head banging against the seat. This lasted hours and just left back pain.
