My mom and I had an Amazing day. Of course the Park is beautiful. Its like you were entering in paradise . But de also had an increadible day thanks to our guide Igor and out bus driver Tiho (i'am your leader's dad) . Igor gave us Many informations about Croatia, the landscape and Always put poesy in it's words . Thanks you Igor for having made this day even more Magic. As my mother was not sportive, he took his Time and had a slower rythme for her to be confortable. Tiho the driverwas also really nice and so funny. Worth it!

Kristin_M, Jul 2026
This was a great way to see another part of Croatia while in the Split area. The lakes and waterfalls were beautiful and we found the hike to be very pleasant. Our guide, Mia, kept us moving along without being rushed and ensured we saw everything.

If limited for time & really want to see Plitvce Lakes to tick off, & no car then this tour is it!

Jodi_F, Jun 2026
It was a lovely tour, be prepared for a lot of driving, 3-31/2 hours each way. Would have loved free time once there as had a large group 46 people & felt that quite a few people really slowed up group. If aren’t able to do moderate walking this tour is not for you. Long lines to get on train, used up valuable time. What we did see was truly magnificent. Would have loved more time to do walk around Entrance 1. Tour leader great.

Excellent guide and bus driver

Excellent guide and bus driver. Despite some rain the scenery in the Plitvice park was stunning. The bus was comfortable. Half way we made a stop at a gas station where we could buy some coffee and other things.

Beautiful region in Croatia.

Cormac_R, Jun 2026
I booked this trip to Plitvice lakes from Split. It is well worth booking this trip. There are walkways throughout the area, and we had guides throughout the experience, showing us the important sights in the area. The area is beautiful and well worth experiencing. The guides were friendly and approachable. While I left and came back from Trogir on the bus from Split, I found that there was an equivalent tour from Zagreb, and you can use this trip to travel from Split to Zagreb and vice versa. I think this is a really nice facility on this tour. A few travellers took advantage of that service on that trip, and the guides were well organised in ensuring that everyone got on the correct bus at the end of the tour.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed Plitvice Lakes and found our guides friendly and well-organized. We're also glad you appreciated the transfer option between Split and Zagreb. Safe travels, Tours in Croatia

Overcrowded bus. Badly handled breakdown

Gloria_L, Sep 2025
Bus was very small and every seat was full. Then bus broke down five minutes out of Trogir. Instead of returning to Trogir we waited an hour and a half on the side of the road for a replacement bus. No A/c and not really a safe place to stop. The guide kept saying the new bus was 10 minutes away but it took a full hour and a half. People had to go to the bathroom behind trees. When replacement bus finally came I had had enough and got a ride back to Trogir in the broken bus. If the bus was driveable why didn’t they take us somewhere safe to wait? Or at least give us some AC. (Bus windows didn’t open and it got very hot inside quickly )Very poor communication and no trust in the driver or the guide. Company refused to refund money and the women in the office was quite rude. Bad experience all the way around. Accidents and breakdowns happen I know but this one was handled terribly.

This is a large bus tour...

Stephanie_M, Sep 2025
This is a large bus tour with 50 plus people. You are on a schedule and will need to keep up with the tour guide and they expect you to stay in the group as you move thru the park. There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Please note that this is a guided group tour, as clearly described at the time of booking. The guide accompanies the group throughout the visit to ensure the tour runs smoothly and that all guests can make the most of their experience in the park. Safe travels, Tours in Croatia

A must-see!

Cari_G, Sep 2025
Plitvice lakes are outstanding. Mia and Sanja did a great job of making sure we saw the highlights since we had limited time. The lakes are stunningly beautiful and it’s definitely worth the trek.

Beautiful.

Eric_B, Jul 2025
Plitvice was absolutely beautiful and our guide, Ivanka, was great. Very knowledgeable. We were in a large group of around 50 that made it a bit difficult navigating the crowds

A Don’t Miss Experience with Barry and Sonja

Deborah_E, May 2025
Great tour to Plitvice Lakes. Our tour guide Barry was knowledgeable and funny. He had lots of good information about the national park and the areas we drove through on our way to Plitvice. He even gave us restaurant and gelato recommendations in Split. Shout out to Sonja, Barry’s colleague, she was fantastic !

Highly recommended

david_L, May 2025
Great experience. Waterfalls are gorgeous. It's quite a hike but worth it if you are reasonably fit. Ivanka our tour guide was brilliant.

Mia was a great guide,...

Matthew_C, May 2025
Mia was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. We went towards the end of May, it was a little chilly at first but warmed up as you hike and turned into a beautiful day. I would highly recommend this tour with Mia!! Plus they offer this tour as a transfer tour between Split and Zagreb, which is a perfect way to see more of Croatia than just doing a bus between the two cities.

Best experience!

marlena_j, Apr 2025
Great time with Great people, special Ivanka and our driver Peter Pann. Ivanka, is very good in her job,a lot of knowledge and very nice person. I really recommend 100%. They are the best, from Split! Thank you!

Sensational!!!!

The lakes were mind blowing amazing!!!! Our tour guide Ivan’ka extremely informative😁 This was a bucket list trip for me!!!💕🙏💕 Thank you Ivanka🧚

Viator not a good tour contact. Find Local Source

Ray_A, Sep 2024
Our experience with the Park was great. Our problem was Viator! we never did receive the email with tickets with an email for the meeting place. The search we did line just went in an endless circle. We were referred to a local Croatian travel agency. They in turn were able to find that we were actually booked through Grey Line tours. We found out that Viator has no contact in Split. Grey Line was very helpful, but as of this date we have had contact from Viator other than this comment email that we received before we went on the tour.

Beautiful Plitvice Lakes - highly recommended tour

Vanisha_V, Sep 2024
We had an amazing day with our very knowledgeable tour guide Mate. We got to see the lower and upper lakes, got some amazing pictures and Mate helped us aviod the crowds. Would definitely recommend this tour

Good tour, amazing place, good food.

Michael_L, Sep 2024
Very good tour and Mate, our tour guide delivered it well. It would have been better if we had taken it at a slower space and learnt more about the park. The restaurant stop on the way back was a brilliant was to taste local food.

Pristine lakes

Annelise_M, Sep 2024
The lakes are amazing! The color of the pristine waters is breathtaking. Our guide Mia was very efficient. She and her colleague handled more than 50 people in a nice way.

Best cost benefit

Leandro_R, Sep 2024
The day was amazing, Mia and Sanja were very supportive and kind! All the structure and lunch indication was excellent

Amazing views and great tour leader

Graham_J, Sep 2024
Ivanka was a terrific tour leader – lots of energy and full of information and good trip tips for not just this but other parts of Croatia. The lakes are definitely a must see – amazing highlights.

Fantastic tour

Teresa_H, Aug 2024
Ivanka was a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. The park itself is stunning and unbelievably clear, blue waters.

Perfect Day Tour

Nathan_G, Aug 2024
Quite literally the best day tour I’ve taken. Ivanka, our tour guide, was absolutely splendid, knowledgeable, passionate, and gave me so much incredible information about Croatia and more. Highly recommend this. Also, wear comfy shoes and be prepared with snacks and you are good to go!

Wonderful Park Visit

Karen_W, Aug 2024
The beauty of this park was spectacular. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and hydrate because the hiking is hilly. The park was crowded on our visit. Be prepared to be patient when trying to get pictures of the lakes and waterfalls. Our guide, Mate, was friendly, informative and interested in making our visit enjoyable.

10/10!

r2xw788j4r, Aug 2024
This was an amazing experience I do not regret. Mate was a wonderful tour guide who looked after each and every one of the guests on our tour. He went above and beyond to ensure we all had a good time. I highly recommend!

Great trip but better time management

Ashish_V, Jul 2024
The park and lakes were gorgeous and we enjoyed the walks and the guide Ivanka was wonderful. Our only issue was how the timing of the tour was organized. We made it to the park a bit late closer to 11 am. At 1:30 to 2 pm we stopped in the park but only for a coffee when it would have been better to have had lunch then. It was only after the tour was done at 3:30 that we left to stop at a restaurant for lunch and we stayed there till nearly 5 pm. We returned to Split only around 8 pm after making another stop on the way back for bathroom break. It would have been better to eliminate the extra stop for lunch so we could have come back to Split earlier.

Spectacular and stunning!

Matthw_G, Jul 2024
This trip is a must. The park is stunning. Walk along a wooden boardwalk through miles of forest replete with waterfalls and stunning turquoise lakes. Mia was a great guide for the park and made the bus trip from Split go by quickly with stories, history and humor. Finally, Mia’s suggestions when we stopped for a late lunch were perfect.

Extreme beauty like you’ve never seen

Lori_G, Jul 2024
Ivanka was the best tour guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I’ve done quite a few tours and she is top notch. She is super knowledgeable, highly engaging and interactive. She took pictures of our group along the way and sat with us on the drive back to Split to give us recommendations on other ways to enjoy the area.

Great trip, but be prepared for the difference in weather yourself.

Stuart_M, Jun 2024
We had a great trip with our guide Ivanka. The trip allowed for plenty of time to enjoy the National Park route without it feeling rushed. The restaurant stop on the way back was very reasonable too and just the tonic after the walk. Coach was comfortable with a short stop each way to stretch legs/ grab a drink etc. The only niggle we had is with Viator. The webpage stated clearly that raincoats would be provided if needed (as weather in the mountains is unpredictable) and there were none. Fortunately it was it was not too cool / rain held off, but could have spoilt the trip otherwise. Either ensure you have the gear or remove it from the page / advise people to bring their own. The temperature varied from 30+ degrees in Split to 13/14 degrees at the National Park.

Usually a great tour but Gray lines tour screwed up

Mark_C, Jun 2024
Checked with Viator and Gray Line tours the day before. Was told the meeting place and to be there for 7:45. We were there for 7:30 and was told that we were late and tour already left. Was treated very rude bye the people in gray line tours.

Plitvice

Denise_H, Jun 2024
Small bus with lots of luggage. Didn’t realize a transfer. MIA was the tour guide recommend her. We could use more about the geology of the lakes. The bus needed more maintenance. The bus driver smoked and the bus smelled.
