Great tour to Plitvice Lakes. Our tour guide Barry was knowledgeable and funny. He had lots of good information about the national park and the areas we drove through on our way to Plitvice. He even gave us restaurant and gelato recommendations in Split. Shout out to Sonja, Barry’s colleague, she was fantastic !

Bus was very small and every seat was full. Then bus broke down five minutes out of Trogir. Instead of returning to Trogir we waited an hour and a half on the side of the road for a replacement bus. No A/c and not really a safe place to stop. The guide kept saying the new bus was 10 minutes away but it took a full hour and a half. People had to go to the bathroom behind trees. When replacement bus finally came I had had enough and got a ride back to Trogir in the broken bus. If the bus was driveable why didn’t they take us somewhere safe to wait? Or at least give us some AC. (Bus windows didn’t open and it got very hot inside quickly )Very poor communication and no trust in the driver or the guide. Company refused to refund money and the women in the office was quite rude. Bad experience all the way around. Accidents and breakdowns happen I know but this one was handled terribly.

This is a large bus tour with 50 plus people. You are on a schedule and will need to keep up with the tour guide and they expect you to stay in the group as you move thru the park. There is a lot of walking and climbing stairs.

Plitvice lakes are outstanding. Mia and Sanja did a great job of making sure we saw the highlights since we had limited time. The lakes are stunningly beautiful and it’s definitely worth the trek.

Plitvice was absolutely beautiful and our guide, Ivanka, was great. Very knowledgeable. We were in a large group of around 50 that made it a bit difficult navigating the crowds

Great experience. Waterfalls are gorgeous. It's quite a hike but worth it if you are reasonably fit. Ivanka our tour guide was brilliant.

Mia was a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. We went towards the end of May, it was a little chilly at first but warmed up as you hike and turned into a beautiful day. I would highly recommend this tour with Mia!! Plus they offer this tour as a transfer tour between Split and Zagreb, which is a perfect way to see more of Croatia than just doing a bus between the two cities.

Our experience with the Park was great. Our problem was Viator! we never did receive the email with tickets with an email for the meeting place. The search we did line just went in an endless circle. We were referred to a local Croatian travel agency. They in turn were able to find that we were actually booked through Grey Line tours. We found out that Viator has no contact in Split. Grey Line was very helpful, but as of this date we have had contact from Viator other than this comment email that we received before we went on the tour.

We had an amazing day with our very knowledgeable tour guide Mate. We got to see the lower and upper lakes, got some amazing pictures and Mate helped us aviod the crowds. Would definitely recommend this tour
Michael_L, Sep 2024
Very good tour and Mate, our tour guide delivered it well. It would have been better if we had taken it at a slower space and learnt more about the park. The restaurant stop on the way back was a brilliant was to taste local food.

The lakes are amazing! The color of the pristine waters is breathtaking. Our guide Mia was very efficient. She and her colleague handled more than 50 people in a nice way.

Ivanka was a terrific tour leader – lots of energy and full of information and good trip tips for not just this but other parts of Croatia. The lakes are definitely a must see – amazing highlights.

Ivanka was a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide. The park itself is stunning and unbelievably clear, blue waters.

Quite literally the best day tour I’ve taken. Ivanka, our tour guide, was absolutely splendid, knowledgeable, passionate, and gave me so much incredible information about Croatia and more. Highly recommend this. Also, wear comfy shoes and be prepared with snacks and you are good to go!

The beauty of this park was spectacular. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and hydrate because the hiking is hilly. The park was crowded on our visit. Be prepared to be patient when trying to get pictures of the lakes and waterfalls. Our guide, Mate, was friendly, informative and interested in making our visit enjoyable.

This was an amazing experience I do not regret. Mate was a wonderful tour guide who looked after each and every one of the guests on our tour. He went above and beyond to ensure we all had a good time. I highly recommend!

The park and lakes were gorgeous and we enjoyed the walks and the guide Ivanka was wonderful. Our only issue was how the timing of the tour was organized. We made it to the park a bit late closer to 11 am. At 1:30 to 2 pm we stopped in the park but only for a coffee when it would have been better to have had lunch then. It was only after the tour was done at 3:30 that we left to stop at a restaurant for lunch and we stayed there till nearly 5 pm. We returned to Split only around 8 pm after making another stop on the way back for bathroom break. It would have been better to eliminate the extra stop for lunch so we could have come back to Split earlier.

This trip is a must. The park is stunning. Walk along a wooden boardwalk through miles of forest replete with waterfalls and stunning turquoise lakes. Mia was a great guide for the park and made the bus trip from Split go by quickly with stories, history and humor. Finally, Mia’s suggestions when we stopped for a late lunch were perfect.

Ivanka was the best tour guide I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I’ve done quite a few tours and she is top notch. She is super knowledgeable, highly engaging and interactive. She took pictures of our group along the way and sat with us on the drive back to Split to give us recommendations on other ways to enjoy the area.

We had a great trip with our guide Ivanka. The trip allowed for plenty of time to enjoy the National Park route without it feeling rushed. The restaurant stop on the way back was very reasonable too and just the tonic after the walk.
Coach was comfortable with a short stop each way to stretch legs/ grab a drink etc.
The only niggle we had is with Viator. The webpage stated clearly that raincoats would be provided if needed (as weather in the mountains is unpredictable) and there were none. Fortunately it was it was not too cool / rain held off, but could have spoilt the trip otherwise. Either ensure you have the gear or remove it from the page / advise people to bring their own. The temperature varied from 30+ degrees in Split to 13/14 degrees at the National Park.

Checked with Viator and Gray Line tours the day before. Was told the meeting place and to be there for 7:45. We were there for 7:30 and was told that we were late and tour already left. Was treated very rude bye the people in gray line tours.
Denise_H, Jun 2024
Small bus with lots of luggage. Didn’t realize a transfer. MIA was the tour guide recommend her. We could use more about the geology of the lakes. The bus needed more maintenance. The bus driver smoked and the bus smelled.

Ivanka of Grey Line Tours in Split made this long but amazing trip interesting, energetic, and fun! Highly recommend!!!

Mate was an amazing tour guide!
He explained the history and taught us many things about Croatia. We were a family of 6 and he was very personal with us and made us feel warm and welcomed.
We can highly recommend this tour
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🫶🏼 we would give it a 10/10

Seeing the turquoise waters and the beauty of the falls was wonderful. Ivanka was a great guide. It is truly evident that she loves nature and this beautiful place and her enthusiasm was contagious. We really loved our day.
