Be prepared for a deep dive into the history. Lots of interesting and intertwining stories, which the tour guide brings alive with props.
Booked four days in advance. No communication from guide. Showed up at assigned location. No sign of any guide. No communication from guide at the time or since. Viator called and only got voice mail. While the other reviews look amazing, getting stood up was less than ideal.
Really great experience! Me and my mom both agreed this was our favorite part of our trip to Toronto. Would highly recommend for any history buffs or tourists looking for a unique experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the tour fun!

This is perhaps the best historical walking tour I’ve ever gone on, and I’ve gone on a few! More than just a “titillating” history of the sex trade, LK shows how Toronto’s wealth was accumulated on the backs of, and by, sex workers.
Very informative tour of a little-known aspect of Toronto's history that is rapidly disappearing as the city is tearing down many of the old neighbourhoods to put in skyscrapers. I found it very enjoyable and highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in nineteenth- and twentieth-century social history.
Knowledgeable and engaging tour leader. We had a wonderful time and gained great insights into such a complex part of Toronto history. It was paced well, and covered a variety of topics related to the history of brothels. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone!

LK was an excellent host and it was a wonderful way to learn about a little-known, yet vital, part of the city's history. Plus, the area is great for walking and the surviving 19th century architecture is stunning.
