Mr Hamid is an excellent tour guide. We found no issue with him. He knew his subject, adapted to the overall physical abilities of his tourists and was very good. The disappointing thing about the tour was the misleading advertising going in. Our party of 4 thought we were signing up for a private tour. One of the other parties of 3 also thought they were signing up for a private tour. Since there were 10 of us on the bus, it was clearly not a private tour. This should be clearly identified in the back and forth communication, even if it means paying extra money.

Aziz is a great guy and excellent guide. We did so many activities and places in our lot of time that it was awesome. I couldn't have felt more comfortable in a foreign country. Morocco is a place I would consider going back to thanks to Aziz.

I have never written a bad review before but felt this tour needed to be written up. Small tour of 10 people. Six of which was one group. They dictated to the tour guide what whey wanted to do which was mainly to shop. The rest of us had to follow along. Over half of the tour was spent shopping. We had to sit through presentations for rugs, spices and leather goods and then wait for the group of six to shop. I blame this all on the guide. He was more interested in the sale. We have used Viator in the past to book tours but will never use them again . Will only use tours booked direct.

A typical guided tour where you are taken to a variety of establishments where the guide has a relationship with the proprietor. Also perhaps it was not clear the amount of walking required; we were good with it but 5 of the 9 passengers were not.

Riding a camel by the ocean- very cool! Be ready to spend a lot of extra money because we were taken to places where our guide obviously gets a cut of what we spent (big lunch that was ordered for us and a stop at a cashmere type mill/shop). Don’t expect any shopping time on your own even though he said we would.

Overall this was a good tour. Both our guide and driver did a great job of showing us the area. The one thing that we didn’t like was having to sit through a rug sales presentation. We had no interest in purchasing and that part of the experience was awkward and unnecessary.

Our guide Hussein (Hassar) was very good. He explained us every place we went. He took us through the Medina and showed us all the different cultures that live there. He showed us the Hercules cave, a ride with the camels and the division of the two oceans. Everything was very interesting. We had lunch in the market and at the end he took us to have a coffee with pastry. It was delicious and we all had a terrific time!!

Guide was a poor communicator.somewhat less than enthusiastic about his job or indeed us
We got taken to the Medina first because he said it would be quieter-read as hardly any shops open except the carpet and argon oil shops he left us in -uncomfortable for all concerned
He took us to a restaurant in the Medina for lunch which of course was extra but in fairness was very good indeed
After this we wanted to take us back to the ship but we elected to stay and wander around the Medina which by now had come alive and was buzzing

Our guide was very informative and made the experience even more worthwhile. The only thing you must be aware of if any in your party has any walking handicap is that this tour has a lot of walking. But the most important thing to keep in mind is that the distance from the ship and the meeting point was almost a full mile walk. They state that they will meet you outside the terminal but the terminal is extremely far from the ship. So I would recommend this tour if your group is younger or able to walk distances.

Our guide Sharif met us right at the cruise port and took us on a wonderful tour of tangier. Sharif made this tour very special. The markets and streets of Tangier are very busy and bustling with activity, this can feel hectic to the uninitiated, but we felt very much looked after by our guide. Sharif took us to all of the listed sites and always asked what we would like to see, he also offered several options my wife took a camel ride while on this tour. Sharif was a genuinely warm individual and fine ambassador for this beautiful city and its people. I highly recommend the private tour because there is a lot to see and it was really nice to stay longer at places we liked and move quickly through others. We had a nice lunch at a little place near the market and returned to the ship right on time. We arrived as customers but parted as friends. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Achmad gave us a fascinating walking tour of the Old Town Tangier, including the Casbah. He is very knowledgeable and pointed out many things that other guides pass by with no comment.
After the walking tour and lunch at a local restaurant, we were driven to the Caves of Hercules. When we arrived, Achmad arranged for a local guide to show us individually the caves. This clever guide then astounded us by taking many photos of us in different sections of the cave that most visitors miss. We now have a collection of tremendously interesting pictures, illuminating features of the cave that are only revealed by the flash of the camera. Truly one of the most unique experiences in all of our travels. We were in very good hands the whole day.

By far the BEST tour we have had with Viator. Our guide lived in the city, as did his family going back 6 generations. He seemed to know everyone. At first we thought he was running for political office.
Our guide, Hamid Benamar, was fantastic!! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the country as well as the city. Once he understood our interests he modified the tour to insure we had adequate time to visit areas we expressed interest in.
Saw everything outlined in the description of the tour, plus more. Driver was excellent, Mercedes van was brand new, and our guide was fabulous!!
Highly, highly recommend this tour for your first visit to this magical city!
