-The Choufchouf was amazing; we had to hike with the guide for two hours and 1 hour to ourselves. That wasn't enough time, so after half an hour we went exploring on our own without guide.
-Old Medina, Tetouana was superfluous to walk in between. Walking in the Centre had been enough.

Chefchaouen and our guide Fouad was the highlight of this excursion. Fouad was a great knowledgeable host and guide of his city. Aside from the quaintness of painting the buildings blue, what I really liked was that this is a functioning town/medina that we were able to experience and less of a tourist trap. The visit to the Tetouan medina was an experience in itself as it was so much more crowded than Chefchaouen. Said was a great host as well. Hamid was our driver and was able to navigate the streets admirably. The only thing missing from the excursion was the bottled water and gift in the description.

Long day but absolutely worth it. Both Chefchaouen and Tétouan are beautiful. I know lots of tours just do the Blue City but the White Dove (which has UNESCO heritage designation) is also worth a visit—the city is on the way and the visit is not as but definitely worth checking out if you like history and heritage. Both guides were great and spoke well in English. The driver was not as fluent but was super kind and kept the group happy with his energy and friendliness.

The tour of the Chefchaouen was wonderful!!! Our guide spoke great English, and was very informative. Met some fun people, whom I shared lunch with a rooftop overlooking the beautiful blue city. Magical experience!
Our next stop was Teteuan , which I could’ve skipped. There really wasn’t much to see, the tour guide was difficult to understand, and he took us to a shop with demonstrations, argon oil, etc., with the requisite sales pitch at the end. Extra stop made for a long day, lasting 11 hours.

There were parts of the experience that were good, but the negatives outweighed the positives for our tour. Mostly, it's very clear that a great guide makes all the difference for this tour, and we got unlucky with one who was not good.
Our day was flipped from the usual sequence, so we visited Tetouan first. The views in the drive were lovely and the tour there was pretty good. Our guide did his best to juggle giving explanations in four different languages for the different members of the group. We spent over two hours touring Tetouan, and then instead of having a lunch break there, we drove directly down to Chefchaouen. Luckily we had brought some snacks with us, otherwise we would have had a very hard time. We arrived in Chefchaouen at 2:30 and our guide did take us directly to a restaurant for lunch. After lunch, our guide gave us a brief introduction, but then he proceeded to lead us around on a long walk in the sun and afternoon heat with almost no talking about what we were seeing or where we were going. The blue city is very pretty and we got some nice pictures, but it was not much of a tour. He did share a few bits of history and culture, but it was a few minutes scattered throughout more than two hours of walking. By the end, everyone was exhausted, and then we had the whole long drive back to Tangier (and no more water when we got back to the van, which was a small thing that would have helped a lot).
Our tour was a disappointment, but if it had been the normal sequence and we'd had a good guide for Chefchaouen in the morning when it was cooler and then had a chance to eat lunch at a reasonable time, it might have been a very different experience.

We loved our tour! It was well worth the time and money.
However - I think a good tour guide changes everything! We had a great guide for Chef. The tour in Chef was 2 hours and then we have 2 hours for lunch / free time, most people were waiting for the guide for the last 30 minutes ready to go - this coludí be shorter?
We had not such a great guide for Tetouan. He spoke quietly, was not personable, didn’t answer questions well and seemed opinion over fact based. Tetouan I could have skipped altogether, it was a long day and we were late coming home by 9:30pm instead of 7:30-8pm like the itinerary listed. The bus also did not have AC as listed? It was very hot! Those are the only criticisms - all in all I would recommend! Beautiful visit, good value for money spent.

This was a quick trip that was well worth it. Tetouan is quite nice, with a historic medina, and Chefchouen is in a class by itself.
Both are Spanish-influenced cities, which was an interesting change after being in Tangier. As far as this tour operator... despite the fact that we had 2 unexpected issues come up during the trip (the van had a problem and then someone in the group hurt their leg), the drivers and guides made sure that we got the full experience.
Pro tip: grab lunch at a hole-in-the-wall in Chefchouen rather than a touristy place - look for 4 star rated places where locals are eating. Ladies pro tip: I got henna on my hand in the main square, and got tons of compliments on it from Moroccans afterwards. It is also one of the few opportunities for you to give cash to a woman directly in Morocco. Just let it sit on as long as you can before peeling it off, and do your best to protect it from the sun afterwards, or it will fade quickly.

This was INCREDIBLE! Chefchauen is exactly as it was pictured! The guide(s) were excellent! Youssef was honestly the best driver I’ve had since coming. The guide, although I could not catch his name was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Both guide and Youssef were from Chefchauen. It was the perfect trip for those must have pics! Bring cash (local) and if you don’t know how to haggle, LEARN! Seriously a must do if you’re coming to N Morocco!

This tour was awesome only that the driver didn’t speak much English but the rest was fantastic both guides we met in both cities knew their history and were very nice and hospitable!! I stopped to buy a few items and he patiently waited.
A definite recommendation to take this tour !!

It was our first tour in Morocco and we loved it. The tour was meticulously organised from pick up to drop off. The tour operator informed the exact time of pick up the previous night. The car was good with WiFi and they gave a small bottle of water also. After the guided tour you get around 2hours for yourself for lunch and explore around. The local guide Karim was excellent, kind and with sense of humour. We took hundreds of photos 🙂
On the way back we stopped by Tetouan for a guided walking tour in the old medina. Personally I didn’t like this part of the tour as lot of walking for our kids and no free time for food or snacks during dinner time although there are so many food options around. Another point we didn’t like is the local guide at Tetouan. He was speaking mainly Spanish and very poor in French. He was walking in hurry!
But overall it was a great day with good experience. It ended around 8pm.

This door was amazing from beginning to the end!
Besides the two beautiful cities we visited I have to mention the great professional service and the tour guidance were spectacular involved places.
And last but not leaves our driver was so professional and caring with everyone in the bus. I will definitely do this 1 million times again.!

The van to transport us was clean and in great condition. The driver was great. The 2 guides we had for each community were friendly and informative. The sites are beautiful. The walking is manageable, but still bring good walking shoes.

One of the best trips in Morocco. It's very cultural and informative about Morocco hiritage. The sights are amazing and the tour guide (Faisal) was perfect and very knowledgeable and taking care of everyone.
I recommend this trip but get ready for walking.

This was the best tour experience I’ve had on the entire trip! They picked me up from my hotel, the driver, Yosef, knew Arabic, Spanish, English, and French. Our drive was entertaining and had breaks along the way. Once we got to Chefchaouen, our guide was amazing. He lead the tour in both Spanish and English and lead us throughout the city explaining the back story. I was traveling on my own, and met so many amazing people in our group and had a great time exploring Morocco with them!

Xuaen Tours is a very great and affordable company to use in Tangier! The driver during the trip was very kind! Both tour guides I had in Chefchaouen and Tetuán were very knowledgeable and friendly. Both tours were very wonderful and we got to explore many different areas within each city!

Interesting tour..lots of history. The guides at both Chefchaoen and Tetouan were very knowledgeable and able to answer all questions. The driver was waiting for us at the port and the vehicle was very comfortable, air-conditioned and clean. The driver offered the free wi fi and was pleasant. We got back to the ship on time. We enjoyed the tour and lunch at a Moroccan restaurant but could have dropped the visits to oil and rug shops. It would have been nice to be able to spend more time wandering markets.

The driver was fab , guides good . Chefchaouen whilst beautiful to look at and take photos of is just a blue and white kasbah . Nothing special and very touristy . Lunch was awful . Guide took us to his friends place and food was undercooked and service not brill . It was cheap but not good . I did advise him if doing it again use somewhere else and he victim blamed us ! There were 14 of us so a bit of a joke . He also insisted on his dogs coming around tour which wasn’t appropriate . Place does smell of cat wee .
Tétouan was a whistle stop tour , it’s ok but not Tangier , the guide was a lovely old gentleman really kind , although as British we struggled to understand him as he’s clearly more Spanish . We had a good whizz round but it’s not a stunning place just interesting .

Seeing round Chefchuoan was very beautiful and interesting. It would have been nice to have visited more of the historical buildings and a restaurant with a view or overlooking the square would have been even better
The visit to Tetouan felt rushed and again it would have been nice to go in to experience the historic buildings and features

Amazing! A must see if visiting Tangier. Chefchaouen was so beautiful and peaceful. Everyone is so friendly.
Tip: do not take pictures of the women. When you see them put your cameras down. Please respect that. Poor lady couldn’t come out of her house because of someone taking pictures of themselves and wouldn’t listen to us saying ‘you aren’t letting her come out of her house’. We got our guide involved.

Lovely trip. Interesting cities. Guides did a great job especially Omar (a 7-generation’er). Excellent English, patient, and prepared to answer all questions. Be prepared for steps quite high in Chefchaouen - well worth it though.

The travel to and from the blue city was kind of boring. The driver didn’t have anything to say where as often they will give a history lesson or something to help along the way. Baba, The tour guide in the blue city was very good. He was able to share lots of information and he did in both English and Spanish. He was very easy to speak with and to listen to. I highly recommend him. We went to a second city on the way remaining and the turkey there was, less qualified. They might want to end that portion of the tour as it got to be very long day.

This trip is fantastic, I enjoyed it very much. The driver Nizar, who always looks happy even when having to drive long hours and far away. The guide Naoufal and Muhammad were excellent. They explained the tour thoroughly and answers all questions with an amazing knowledge. They dropped us for lunch at a restaurant in Chefchaouen, which is the best restaurant we had in Morocco. The food is tasty, and the people are friendly and helpful. Overall, I am happy with this tour and would recommend it to other travelers.

The guides personality. His name is Omar and he knew everything to tell us, and made it all fun. On top of that. He made special arrangements so we could catch ou train on time. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. He was excellent!!!
