After making your own way to Bondi Beach, meet your surfing instructor and get fitted with a surfboard, wetsuit, and other gear for your surfing lesson.
Your instructor starts the lesson on the sand, introducing the gear and basic techniques for paddling out and popping up on your board. Practice your technique on the beach, and hear some entertaining stories about the history of Australian surfing.
Once you are comfortable with your dry run, pick up your board and step into the warm ocean waters to try catching some waves. Your instructor accompanies you into the water and helps you to improve your paddling and time your pop-up. Have plenty of customized attention and time to practice in the water as you learn.
Whether you are a first-timer or you want to refresh your skills and test the big surf, the waves and weather at Bondi Beach are perfect for year-round surfing. Learn in a small group with a maximum of five people.

You spend about 40 minutes on land learning how to surf and practicing standing up on the board. Then you have about an hour and a half in the water. There surf was a little rough and there were lots of other people in the water that we had to navigate around. I like that we had 2 guides (1 was in training) so we had more 1-on-1 time to learn/practice.

Highly recommended! Bondi was awesome and the instructors were super chill (especially Jesse who was amazing!). A great mix of instruction and water time. We all had a blast. Highlight of our trip in Sydney!

Great experience. Each class is small - 5 people. I had never surfed before and my coach, Jesse, was able to tailor his feedback and adjust on the fly what I needed to do. For those who have never surfed before like me, expect to learn a lot and get in a lot of reps in a short period of time.

Good. Could be better but as it was my first experience I was happy and it was enjoyable.
To be honest 2hours is not enough for fully surfing but it is good to lay on the surfing board and enjoy the waves.
I think if you want to be able to surf at least you need 4 sessions and do not rush to learn every thing in one single session.
Plus the fact that guys working there as tutors are really helpful and they help my wife to enjoy and I really appreciate that they helped her.

Don't worry about what to wear, they provide a wet suit and it takes all the worry out of losing swimsuit pieces. Pictures would have been nice.

Great surf school! Everything is well and efficiently organized. It was a bit crowded when I took my lessons, but Tom is a fantastic instructor and gave all the necessary knowledge to enjoy the waves and learn something new. I had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend the school.

Our instructor was great - I can’t remember his name though (sorry!) the 21 year old chap who had been skiing since he was 3. He was really patient and the two hours literally felt like five minutes. Highly recommended

Great experience- our instructors were patient and helpful, giving us good feedback to improve. The lesson was well structured and helped us build confidence before moving on. Took safety seriously and made sure we all knew how to keep from getting hurt. Would recommend!!

This was the most fun experience we had in Bondi. The group size was small and intimate and Aaron our instructor was truly outstanding - both personable and knowledgeable! The lesson was perfect for beginners and early-learners and left us feeling confident and tired from the constant exercise. I could not recommend this experience enough

This was so much fun! Our surf instructors, Luke and Bert, were amazing. They provided background information, thorough explanations, and were present and involved for the entire lesson, making everyone feel very safe and comfortable in the water, regardless of previous experience. We really enjoyed this experience and were able to surf a ton of waves of our own. I’d highly recommend this experience!

This was a great experience and worth the money. The instructors were good and two were in the water the entire time. I would caution those who are young or poor swimmers though. My husband and 14 year old son had to fight some pretty tough surf. They came out exhausted and sore and both are very confident in the water. They still had a great time and would recommend it to others!

Had a great surfing lesson - thanks to the instructor, I even managed to stand on the board on my first go!
We took time to learn about the beach’s dynamics, including rips, stretch and practise on land before getting into the water.
The day we surfed it was tipping it down with rain, but that didn’t matter! I thought I’d mention it so you’ll know it’ll happen no matter the weather.
Had a good 1hr in the water I’d say. A great experience.

The instructors are really nice, the beach is amazing, even in winter the water isn't colder than about 17-18 Cº and it's not to hard getting up on the board and feeling like your riding the wave.

This was a well organised and supported activity, perfect for first time surfers! Instructions were clear and it wasn’t long before you were in the water giving it a go! Wetsuits are provided and the must have sun cream. Don’t forget to cover the back of your hands! It was easy to catch a bus from Sydney CBD and then it was just a 4 minute walk to the meeting place.
