I would recommend this booking with Craig to anyone I know traveling to the area! We had a great experience and got to see wild kanagroos as promised! As well as enjoy some local food, and see other great views. This beats a large touristy bus trip a thousand times over.

Craig was super friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t run into any crowds, and the first 1.5 hour walk made all the difference with other tours. Sunset from the three sisters is not to be missed.

    • Not wheelchair accessible
    • Near public transportation
    • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
    • We don't follow a rigid itinerary. We respond to conditions on the day, including weather and avoiding crowds. Most destinations above are visited every tour, but occasionally one is swapped for another to give the best experience.
    • Meeting point: the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel near Circular Quay, one of the best connected areas of Sydney by public transport or a short walk from many of the city's hotels; your guide will hold a sign reading "FeelGood! Nature Tours"
    • Drop-off at one of three central Sydney locations at the end of the day, designed to get you as close as possible to where you're staying
    • Duration: approximately 10 hours, door to door
    • Departure time varies by season to make the most of the light: around 9:30am for most of the year outside daylight saving, 10:30am approaching spring, 11:30am at the start and end of summer, 12:30pm at the height of summer
    • Group size: maximum 10 guests
    • This is a genuine bushwalking day, not a paved-path sightseeing tour. Walks are on formed national park trails with some uneven ground, roughly 10 to 15 flights of stairs and 8,000 to 15,000 steps across the day
    • Your guide offers a more adventurous option and an easier option at several points during the day, so the group can choose their own pace without anyone missing out on the views
    • Not wheelchair accessible. Private tours are available on request for guests needing tailored accessibility
    • Not suitable for children under 12. Guests under 18 must be with an adult
    • Dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) are automatically catered for, no advance notice needed
    • Weather in the Blue Mountains can change quickly. Bring a warm layer and rain jacket regardless of the forecast
    • Bring a refillable water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and a light day bag (no luggage storage on board)
    • Return time varies with the season, since this is a sunset tour. At the height of summer, return can be as late as 10pm
    • Cruise passengers: check your ship's departure time against ours before booking. Summer sunsets mean a later return, as late as 10pm at the height of summer.
    • 10% of tour proceeds support local wildlife conservation
    • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

We spent a fabulous day up in the Blue Mountains with Craig, our delightful guide! Craig is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about nature & his enthusiasm shone through from morning to night. Despite the weather not being ideal, Craig’s knowledge of the best places for visibility was second to none. We would DEFINITELY recommend FeelGood! Nature Tours to anyone wanting an intimate, very special experience up in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Many thanks, Craig…… from 3 British Lions fans! 🦁🏉

    Sydney trip highlight

    Joyce_K, Sep 2026
This was the highlight of my one-week trip to Sydney! Craig took our small group to off-the-beaten paths where no other tourists go so we had the places to ourselves. He’s also a wealth of information as far as Australia’s history. Seeing kangaroos in the wild was pretty awesome and the wine and snacks at dusk were the perfect way to cap off the day. Highly recommended to adventure-seeking folks!

This was by far the best thing we did during our trip to Sydney. Craig is an incredible human and tour guide. How special it was to be surrounded by other people who had such a deep appreciation for nature cannot be overstated. We really wanted to do a little bit of hiking on our trip but didn’t want to drive. This experience was the highlight of our trip and I would recommend it to everyone. Thank you, Craig!!!

    Amazing Local Blue Mountain Experience

    Lindsay_P, Aug 2026
We went on a day trip to the Blue Mountains with Craig and it was amazing! He was knowledgeable in so much information from the Blue Mountains creation to the trees we were looking at. Craig took us off the beaten path, showing us some amazing trails that a local knows about that the tourists aren’t all going to. You could definitely feel the love that Craig has for the Blue Mountains in his trail guiding. We also got to see some kangaroos and the Three Sisters at sunset, finished off with some drinks and cheese. This was a great experience if you like hiking and want to see some really amazing sites. Craig was also more than happy to take pictures for us which is always super nice when you’re traveling.

    Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thanks Lindsay! I loved sharing some of my favourite parts of the Blue Mountains with you.

Wonderful introduction to the Blue Mountains and a lovely day in nature!

    Bobbi_B, Jun 2026
This was a wonderful introduction to the Blue Mountains and a day full of nature and fresh air. We did this in winter (June) and were glad that we brought several layers of clothing as the temp fluctuates during the day. Not overly strenuous, but some slightly challenging climbs, however our guide had ropes to assist and we all felt very comfortable in sturdy shoes or even simple tennis shoes. The views and the history were both phenomenal and the guide, Craig, was informative, pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this as a day trip from Sydney! Oh, and the pies for lunch were delicious- if there are two of you get both the lamb pie and the gluten free lamb pie- they were both wonderful!

    Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thanks Bobbi! June is a wonderful time to be out there — crisp air, changing conditions and often beautiful clarity across the valleys. A little bit of an adventure is always rewarded with spectacular views all to our selves, but there’s never any expectation that everyone has to tackle the same section; I can usually adapt things to suit the group. Sounds like you embraced the whole winter mountains experience, right down to conducting some important lamb-pie research!

    Perfect Saturday

    Marina_T, Jun 2026
This is the only tour that goes to the Blue Mountains without a wildlife park or scenic railway - exactly what I wanted: real wild nature without the crowds. The day was amazing. We visited quiet spots with no one else around, stopped for delicious Australian pies, and Craig shared snacks along the way. Craig is also a really interesting person and told us many great stories throughout the day. On the way back we saw a whole mob of wild kangaroos and a beautiful sunset. Thank you, Craig, it really was a wonderful day!

    Response from Host, Aug 2026

Thank you, Marina. It’s especially rewarding when someone chooses the tour specifically because they want nature rather than attractions — that philosophy is really at the heart of FeelGood! Nature Tours. I’m so pleased the quieter locations, stories, wildlife and relaxed pace gave you the experience you were hoping for.

    Response from Host, Aug 2026

Leticia, I’m really pleased you highlighted the walking experience. Getting guests away from the quick photo stops and actually into the landscape is an important part of how I’ve designed the tour. Thanks for recognising the difference — and for spending the day exploring with me.

    Long day ...

    angela_f, May 2026
Long day lots of time in the van Lunch is a pie only . we left sydney at 9.40. “Lunch” was at 11.30 ish nothing to eat after that Take a picnic!! Too much time in the Van Possibly 2.5 hours outside of the van all day Not sure of the “nature “ but of the tour , lots of driving around. Yes the guy knew stuff but wasn’t enough. Sitting at the scenic view spots wasn’t great, it was just wasting time. 45 minutes at the 3 sisters was too long ; we got cold; was dark when we left.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Angela, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m really sorry the experience didn’t fully match your expectations. It was a challenging day with both the weather and a major trail running event to contend with. The Blue Mountains are located around 100km from Sydney, and the intention of this tour is to give guests a broader experience of the region — including different landscapes, quieter locations away from the usual tourist areas, and the opportunity to see kangaroos in the wild. That means travelling between a number of different areas rather than just staying in one location all day. During winter, the days are quite short and sunset occurs around 5–5:30pm, so lunch is scheduled earlier in the day to allow enough time to explore the wilderness areas before sunset at the Three Sisters. Guests are also welcome to bring additional snacks if they wish. The stop at the Three Sisters is intentionally timed for sunset followed by twilight, as many guests enjoy watching the changing light over the valley and the cockatoos gathering before diving off the escarpment to roost on the canyon floor. I'm sorry you felt cold. I do advise all guests before the tour to bring a warm layer as the cooler temperature after sunset can take people by surprise. I do appreciate the feedback, and while many guests enjoy the relaxed pace and variety of locations throughout the day, I understand that you were looking for a different type of experience. I hope rest of your stay in Sydney is more enjoyable. Craig

    Melie_J, May 2026
A very nice experience. Despite the weather not being in our favour, Craig showed us some very beautiful places, with the added bonus of very detailed information on the visited sites, and anecdotes full of humor.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thanks Melie! Some days in the mountains are all about huge sweeping views. Other days become quieter, more atmospheric experiences where the details stand out more. It was lovely to share it with you.

    Great but bring snacks!!

    Caroline_R, May 2026
Lunch is early (11am) and dinner is after you return (7:30pm) Bring your own snacks or you will be hungry. Great trip, Craig is a very knowledgeable guide. Views are amazing. Diving cockatoos are so cool.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thanks for the feedback Caroline, and I’m glad you enjoyed the day overall — especially the views and the cockatoos at sunset, they’re always a highlight. Because the tour covers a large area of the Blue Mountains and is timed around sunset, lunch does happen earlier in the day so we can make the most of the available daylight. Guests are definitely welcome to bring extra snacks if they’d like something additional during the afternoon.

    Hidden Gems & Stunning Views

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Blue Mountains tour, truly a highlight of my Australia trip. The views at Blue Mountains National Park were stunning, especially at sunset, and seeing wild kangaroos was unforgettable. Huge thanks to our guide Craig he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day smooth and enjoyable. What really stood out was that he brought us to places no other tour would take you to, which made the experience feel unique and special. Everything was well organised and perfectly paced. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Syd

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thanks Jasper! Knowing it became a highlight of your Australia trip really makes me happy. I put a lot of thought into finding locations that feel a little different from the standard tourist route, so I’m glad that uniqueness came through. Thanks for taking the time to share this and for recommending the tour.

Exactly what I wanted to see!

    Jennifer_I, Apr 2026
The best blue mountains tour hands down. It gets you away from the thousands of people at the tourist traps and shows you the raw beauty of the blue mountains and surrounding area. I do recommend being in somewhat decent physical shape as there isa decent amount of descending and ascending and hiking involved which can be difficult for some.

    Response from Host, May 2026

Thanks Jennifer — really glad you enjoyed experiencing the untouched wilderness beauty of the Blue Mountains. A bit of climbing and uneven trail is definitely part of getting to those less-visited spots, but that’s usually where the most epic views are waiting. Great having you along for the adventure.

The tour is great! We visited many “secret” spots that don’t have a lot of tourists, and saw the national park from a variety of angles. The tour has some short hikes, which brings us even closer to nature.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

That’s great to hear — I really appreciate you sharing it. I’ve put a lot of thought into finding those quieter locations so guests can experience the Blue Mountains without the crowds. The short walks are a big part of that, getting you a bit closer to the landscape itself. Thanks for joining the tour.

    Blue Mountains with personal guide

    UR_L, Apr 2026
Tons of fun! Exposure to the real outback and the real blue Mountain experience off the beaten trail!Fascinating views of mountains, valleys, and canyons! Also a hike through the rainforest. Australian wildlife, including wild, kangaroos, and numerous birds!Wonderful taste of Australian home cooking. Wonderful guide, Craig.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thanks! The Blue Mountains really do have a bit of everything — deep canyons, dramatic cliffs, rainforests, and wildlife if you know where to look. I like to thread those different environments together so the day feels varied rather than just a series of stops. Sounds like you got a good taste of all of it. Thanks for being part of the day.

    Awesome Day!

    Alice_F, Apr 2026
This was a great tour. It was very nice to get away from the crowds and see the 3 sisters with very few people around. No jostling for position to get photos. The hikes were great, too; even for a 64 year old who's not in perfect shape.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Seeing the Three Sisters without the crowds around makes a big difference — much nicer when you can just take it all in without the chaos. Glad the walks felt manageable too and still delivered the views. Great having you along for the day!

    What a great day

WHAT A GREAT DAY I don’t normally do reviews unless they are really bad or excellent - thus was truly excellent We were out from 0930/1930 and saw places that were off the beaten track A really great day - I would book again in a heartbeat

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thanks Darrell! That’s high praise coming from someone who doesn’t usually leave reviews! I really appreciate it. Glad the day delivered and you got to see a few of those quieter spots away from the crowds. Great having you along!

    Blue Mountain Delight

    ADRIENNE_S, Apr 2026
We had a superb time on this trip. So pleased we booked a small group tour, away from the main tourist spots. Craig was engaging, interesting and informative. We had a great pie for lunch from mountain high pies. We are 65 and 66 and found the walking ok, a little bit of scrabbling in one place but manageable. Craig went the extra mile even providing nibbles at sunset at the 3 sisters. We would highly recommend this trip.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

That’s really great to hear — especially knowing the pace worked well for you both. I put a lot of thought into creating a day that’s accessible while still feeling like a bit of an adventure. I’m glad the whole experience came together, from the lunch stop through to sunset at the Three Sisters. Thanks for recommending the tour.

    Wonderful day in Blue Mountains

Beautiful scenery. Excellent guide. We'll worth it! See kangaroos in the wild, great lunch, and learn about the plantation, trees and animals of the Blue Mountains.

Awesome blue mountain trip with Craig

    Paul_B, Mar 2026
We took the Feel Good Nature Tour to The Blue Mountains with Craig. Comfy vehicle and smooth ride. Craig was a fantastic guide and took us to some beautiful overlooks, short hikes and provided alternatives for us when I struggled with my knee. We also had a stop for Wild Kangaroos which was awe inspiring. Finished off with Sunset views and Cockatiels. Lunch at Mountain high pies was delicious and great to be freshly baked by a local business. Craig ensured we all had a wonderful Aussie experience and was very knowledgable. We highly recommend him and his tour. Thank you Craig for a truly memorable day.

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Paul, I really appreciate you taking the time to share this. I always try to keep the day flexible so everyone can enjoy it comfortably, so I’m glad the alternate options worked well for your knee. It’s great to hear the whole experience — from the wildlife to the local pie stop — came together for you. Thanks again for the recommendation.

    Blue Mountains in the Mist.

    Karen_J, Mar 2026
It was a rainy and foggy day. We were very glad Craig did not cancel this trip as we would not have had a another chance to see the Blue Mountains. They were beautiful even in the rain ! We highly recommend Craig's tour. Thanks Craig!

    Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thanks Karen! Fog rolling through the valleys and a bit of rain in the forest can completely change the feel of the mountains. It’s not the classic postcard version, but it has its own kind of magic. I’m glad you got to see that side of it rather than miss the day entirely. Thanks for being up for the adventure.

Exceptional Tour Guide made it very memorable

    Raj_N, Mar 2026
We had a blast. The tour guide Craig had everything prepared- food, meds, hiking poles, historical information. The choice of destinations is excellent .

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

A big part of the day is simply making sure everyone feels comfortable out there in the bush. Having a few essentials on hand — from hiking poles to snacks — helps keep things relaxed while we explore different parts of the mountains. I’m glad you enjoyed the variety of spots we visited. Thanks for joining the adventure.

    Highly recommend.

    Patricia_I, Mar 2026
Off the beaten, touristy areas The hike offered spectacular views. Craig has a great love for the area. We are lucky he shared it with us. Both experienced and that's a little slower can enjoy this tour!

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

The main lookouts are impressive, but some of the most memorable views are tucked away along those quieter bush tracks. I’m really glad you enjoyed exploring that side of the mountains. Sharing a place you genuinely love with curious travellers is one of the best parts of this job. Thanks for spending the day out there with me.

    See it like a local

    Katharan_C, Mar 2026
Craig was amazing! We contemplated taking the train and going solo, but we would have missed out on this less touristy and more locally guided experience!

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

The train can certainly get you to the mountains, but there are so many incredible corners you’d never stumble across on your own. I love showing guests those quieter viewpoints and hidden trails that most visitors miss. It was great sharing the day with you out in the mountains. Thanks for coming along!

    Nature Lovers Dream

    Joyce_S, Mar 2026
Craig grew up exploring the Blue Mountains and has excellent knowledge of this incredible area. He planned an amazing day of seeing beautiful sites while taking short walks and hikes, all while staying away from the crowds. He knows the best spot for lunch which we ordered ahead of time so he could pick it up and allow us to enjoy a picnic. And then in the evening he provided an array of tasty snacks that we ate while watching the sunset at Three Sisters. He brings all of the essentials for the day in case you forget something and even provided a walking stick for me which was extremely helpful. I have family going to Australia later this year and strongly suggested that they book a trip to the Blue Mountains with Craig for a really wonderful experience.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Growing up exploring the Blue Mountains definitely helped me discover a few quiet corners that most visitors never see, so I’m really glad you enjoyed those spots. A picnic lunch, some sunset snacks, and a relaxed wander through the bush is exactly the kind of day I love sharing with guests. I’m also glad the walking stick made the trails more comfortable for you. Thanks for the lovely review and for recommending the experience to your family.

Not your typical Blue Mountains tour

    ccl, Mar 2026
This is an all day excursion with a local guide who is passionate about the Blue Mountains and the flora and fauna of the area. We were pleased not to be following the paths of the big tours out of Sydney to heavily touristed locations. The hikes are a bit strenuous. I was grateful for the hiking poles that Craig had with him. The highlights for me were seeing kangaroos in the wild and the Three Sisters rock formation at sunset.

    Response from Host, Mar 2026

Kangaroos in the wild and sunset at the Three Sisters — hard to beat that combo. Glad the hiking poles helped on the trails and that you enjoyed escaping the big tour crowds. Thanks for spending the day exploring the mountains with me!
