This was a wonderful experience. The views of the Alps were breathtaking both on the bus ride and especially from the train. Our guide Monica was amazing. She was super knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. A shout out to our bus driver Jon Vito who made the ride seem easy even though the winding road up the mountain was certainly challenging. St. Moritz was a lovely town to visit with the chance to taste some chocolate samples. Monica kept the group on schedule to make sure we made the most of our time but always kept it fun. Strongly recommend putting this tour in your plans.

Had a great time. Our tour guide and bus driver were wonderful and the bus was very comfortable and clean. The sites on the train were amazing! Beautiful waterfalls, mountains, and even glaciers. Overall fantastic experience. Would highly recommend this tour.
The tour was well organized and timed. The coach was reserved exclusively for the group and the Hajo pointed out every view that comes up along the way. We enjoyed it very much
This is the best tour I have ever had. The scenery is just breathtaking. The Red Train Bernina Express is just fantastic. The experience of seeing your own train winding through valleys is just amazing. Our guide Salvadore is very knowledgeable and organized. We learned a lot from him during this tour. The coach driver, Giuseppe, was masterful on the winding roads. We recommend to everyone.
It was awesome!!! Beauty beyond compare. You will not regret it. Checking it off my bucket list. Just do it
Great experience. Stunning views and lots of nature. Our tour guide, Hajo, was great and knowledgeable. Totally recommended.
Excellent drive to St. Moritz! Salvator gave us a plenty of interesting information through the drivd and a short walking tour in St Moritz, we then had around 30 minutes to explore on our own ( which was a bit short for me personally)
The reserved coach on the red bus was also fun, with plenty of opportunities to move around and take photos and videos. We got off at Tirano, so keep in mind that most of the journey is spent sitting.
A special mention to our driver, Antonio—an excellent driver who handled the hairpin curves to St. Moritz superbly. The return journey was smooth and fast. Overall, a wonderful experience!
This trip is fantastic for anyone who wishes to see the Alps. There were so many stunning vistas and St Moritz is gorgeous. There was glaciers, waterfalls and turquoise lakes.
It was a rainy day, but fortunately the rain mostly stopped for the Red Train ride. Our guide Hajo was excellent. Organized, personable, and knowledgeable. She kept our large group together and on time. The scenery on the Red Train was magnificent. The stop in St. Moritz very interesting. And our driver Giaccomo did a great job getting us safely to our stops in rain that was heavy at times.
We had a great experience with the Bernina Train. Our tour guide was very helpful and friendly, and we had a smooth bus journey with a very experienced and professional bus driver. Everything was wonderful and well organized!
Brilliant trip, the highlight of our time in Italy. Hajio our guide was fantastic as was our driver Giacomo, especially around the hairpin bends. Would highly recommend, a must see.
The trip was very well organized and easy. We saw beautiful scenery of the Alps. Our guide Hajo was so kind, caring and fun! She was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information not only about the sights we visited but also about Milan, the food, the way they drink their coffee etc. This was the best day of our visit to Milan. I recommend this trip 100%!
The Red Bernina Train to the Swiss Alps was the highlight of my visit to Milan. The train tour through the Alps is scenic and breathtakingly beautiful! I have not seen anything that tops that yet!
Highly recommended this for anyone wanting a fuss free, pre planned trip to see the Alps and a small taste of Switzerland from Milan.
Our guide was very knowledgeable; our driver was safe and the coach was clean and modern - very comfortable.
Salvatore was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around.. was very welcoming and new every inch of the tour. he was very good at time management as far as keeping the tour on time.. highly recommend this tour and if you get Salvatore, that’s even better! Eduardo the driver did excellent and keep us safe and 90° turns on mountain roads going up to the Swiss Alps.
This was, without question, one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The journey aboard the iconic red train through the Swiss Alps was absolutely breathtaking. Every turn revealed another incredible view towering mountains, sparkling alpine lakes, glaciers, charming villages, and scenery that looked like it belonged on a postcard.
What truly made this excursion exceptional was our tour guide, Salvatore. His knowledge of both Switzerland and Italy was remarkable, and he shared fascinating insights into the history, culture, geography, and traditions of the regions we traveled through. He didn’t simply point out landmarks he explained what we were seeing and why it was significant, making the entire experience far more meaningful. One thing we especially appreciated was how he regularly used maps to help us understand where we were and where we were headed. That extra effort really helped us get our bearings and better appreciate the journey.
Salvatore was also incredibly friendly, personable, and approachable. He created a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we boarded and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the day.
A special thank you also goes to our driver, Eduardo, who was professional, friendly, and made the trip smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
If you’re visiting Italy and have the opportunity to take this Swiss Alps tour, don’t hesitate. The spectacular scenery, the unforgettable ride on the red train, and the outstanding service from Salvatore and Eduardo make this an experience you’ll remember for years to come. I would enthusiastically recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable day.
At first we expected to have had free time viewing St Moritz local area. But, unfortunately we have got stuck by traffic on the motorway during on the way to St Moritz. There were no time to walk surrounding the area. Sadly, We mostly ended up on the coach and on the train.
Respect to the driver and a tour leader trying hard to manage the situation. Also the management company which they gave us a gesture refund a little money

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We're sorry that heavy motorway traffic significantly impacted your day and meant there wasn't enough time to explore St. Moritz as planned. Unfortunately, traffic conditions are beyond our control, but we understand how disappointing this must have been.
We're pleased to hear that our driver and tour leader did their best to manage the situation, and we're glad you appreciated the goodwill refund provided by our management team. Your comments are valuable and will help us continue improving our tours. We hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you again for a smoother experience in the future.
Unforgettable tour from booking to meet up to the bus ride to the train ride. Exceptionally well organised. Highly skilled bus driver, never felt unsafe. Kind, amazing, highly knowledgeable tour guide who took excellent care of the group. The tour is a feast for the eyes, truly an unforgettable experience. The beauty of the Apls, the Apline villages, St Moritz, the lakes is a memory that will stay with us a lifetime. As if this was not already exceptional, we lost an ipad during the tour and we emailed the tour operator. They said they will check with the bus company, and indeed, it was found. Truly amazing, and so grateful. 100% recommended!
Great experience, organized and comfortable, Hajo was our guide, she and the driver were both great !
Warning to anyone considering this St. Moritz day trip: the itinerary provided by Viator was completely different from what we actually received.
According to the itinerary(viator wouldn’t allow me to add itinerary with highlighted times but its available on this booking), the bus ride to our destination was supposed to be about 1.5 hours. In reality, we spent over four hours on the bus. The itinerary also listed two stops where we were supposed to have time to walk around and enjoy the towns, totaling about 90 minutes. Instead, we were given only 30 minutes at a train station to quickly grab a snack and use the restroom. There was nowhere meaningful to take photos unless you wanted a lovely background of fencing or train station chaos.
We were also supposed to stop for 45 minutes in the town of Tirano, but that did not happen either. We were given about 15 minutes near a public bathroom, which was honestly awful. There was a long line, and the facilities were so bad I could barely use them.
For a family of five, we spent over $700, and the entire day felt like we were either on a bus or a train. The views were beautiful, but mostly from far away or while moving. The itinerary made it seem like we would actually have time to walk around, enjoy the towns, and experience the area. That was not the case.
Most disappointing of all, the tour guide provided almost no information the entire time. While we were on the bus, she shared no facts, no history, and no details about what we were seeing. She probably spoke about eight sentences total, and most of that was only after people started asking about the timing and lack of stops.
I have used Viator for many tours and usually have great experiences, but when I reached out to try to find a resolution, I was told there was nothing they could do. Viator is the one providing the itinerary, while the tour company is saying that itinerary is not theirs. There is clearly a major disconnect, and the customer ends up paying the price.
My advice: save your money on this one. If you want to visit St. Moritz, actually go visit St. Moritz. Do not spend $700+ to sit on buses, trains, and bathroom lines all day.

Dear Melissa_M,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience did not align with the original schedule.
On the day of your tour, severe train delays disrupted our timeline, which unfortunately was entirely outside of our control. To ensure the group could still complete the journey, adjustments had to be made on the fly. As noted on your booking voucher, our itineraries are subject to modifications when operational needs or unexpected delays arise. We also take your comments regarding the guide's communication seriously and will address this with our team to ensure better updates are provided during unexpected disruptions.
It was and excellent tour we enjoyed a lot
The Bernina train was a real UNESCO world heritage scenic beauty wish we had done a round trip
Amazing tour seeing beautiful sights. This is a very long day though with a long bus ride. Not suitable for young kids and anyone claustrophobic or afraid of heights. Wish we had more stops to walk around.
I booked this excursion and it was pricey, but because of all the description and the time at each stop and the trip on the train, I decided to go for it. Unfortunately, we traveled on a weekend which made traffic, heavier, furthermore, there was an accident which delayed us more as well. In the end, we never got to do any of the stops as they were described. I expected an Alpine village resort, kind of experience at the stops, but all we got were convenient cafés and restroom brakes at the train station. The train ride was still very spectacular and the scenery breathtaking. But having our time completely eliminated or cut in half for the stops could’ve been handled differently so in the end, we basically paid for the train ride and that’s all we really got out of it. The entire tour Bus was disappointed several passengers were very upset because our tour Leader whether it was her decision or the companies didn’t make adequate adjustments. This is one of many excursions which I booked through Viator and I had a similar experience. Two weeks ago in Greece, a full day trip and a car accident. At least in the end we extended the time by an hour to an hour and a half, so that the excursion wouldn’t be cut short and everyone on the bus was thrilled that the trip wasn’t cut short. I guess the challenging thing was that we had a train to catch a particular time and we had to meet that deadline so in some ways that was the difference between my excursion in Greece and the Switzerland experience. The only place that this could’ve been rectified was on our final stop before loading the bus. We were promised 45 minutes at our last stop. We’re only given 20instead of giving us 20 minutes at our last stop we could’ve extended that to an hour an hour and a half to make up for the other unfortunate circumstances.

Hi Eric,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We're sorry that traffic and an accident significantly impacted your experience. As this tour includes scheduled transportation and a fixed train departure, unexpected delays can unfortunately require adjustments to the itinerary to ensure the remainder of the tour can operate.
We're pleased to hear you still enjoyed the scenic train journey, but we understand your disappointment at having less time than expected at the stops.
We appreciate your comments and please reach out with your booking confirmation so we can investigate if a compensation is due for your booking due to the unexpected accident on the way.
Superb day trip to include beatiful bus ride thru the Alps & Bernina Red Train. We were able to sit together and fully enjoy the view. Our tour guide Jo was wonderful explaining everything along the way. The only suggestion might be to allow a stop @ 1 or 2 viewpoints for 10 min each to take in the view/pics and enjoy fresh air. It is a long day that starts early, but very comfortable. Ample time in St Moritz.
Great experience to get to see the Swiss Alps via the red train with a stopover at St Moritz. Our tour guide Jo was friendly and informative. A long day but worthwhile.
Great day out but it is a long day out ! Lots to see and beautiful scenery . A chance to visit another country in 1 day !!
Swiss Alps is beautiful. Don't get off the train they will leave you!
Tour guide was ok, didn't seem passionate. Seemed like it was just a job.

Dear Jenny_P,
Thank you for your feedback.
We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the beauty of the Swiss Alps. We are sorry that the guiding style did not fully meet your expectations.
As this is a group tour operating on a strict schedule, the departure times announced by the guide must be respected to ensure the experience runs smoothly for all guests.
We appreciate your comments and will share them with our team.
We had a wonderful time. Hajo and Guiseppe were great guiding us through Switzerland. The views from the Bermina train were breathtaking.
Beautiful train ride, bring layers as it is chilly in the Swiss Alps, but then gets warm again as you come down. Bus was very smooth ride and guide seemed very informative about the whole area.
Very nice and interesting trip. The Alps were amazing. Go to the last wagon the train Is open and the views if the glaciers are phenomenal. Jo, our guide, was lovely and very friendly besides being so informative.
Overalll the trip was well worth it. However depending on when you visit, if out of season almost 90 percent of the stores at St. Moritz may be closed so walking around an empty town before boarding the train. The bus driver and tour guide were very good. Thanks Edwardo and Heja.
