Everyone was very polite and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for any excursions

Mario is an excellent guide, with lots of interesting information and anecdotes which he gave us throughout the whole day! And, our bus drivers were great. The rest/lunch stop on our way up was just right, with lots of tasty options. On the Bernina Express we enjoyed wonderful scenery in the panoramic car (windows that curve up into the top of the car for maximum viewing). The railroad is an amazing feat of engineering! That being said, here are two improvements I recommend to the rail line. 1. Refit the car with seats that all face the direction of travel (moveable backs for the change of direction at each end of the route). 2. Being a UNESCO Heritage site, there is so much more information that the downloadable audio guide could supply, along with appropriate music between the commentary, and the use of modern GPS technology so the information they supply is actually coordinated with the areas in which we travel. Here are two things to know about this Viator trip. 1. Be aware that, because there is just one set of tracks between stops, there are numerous times when the train needs to pull over and wait for trains traveling the same tracks the other direction. 2. This particular tour only does the 2 hour train from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy. If you want to see the Landwasser Viaduct, you need to sign up for a tour with the complete 4 hr Chur, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy train route.
Now, last but not least, if you take this tour, when you're in St. Moritz I recommend the upstairs of La Stalla restaurant for a meal (we had a delicious cheese fondue). The wait staff is very friendly and the decor is cozy Swiss. 👍

Overall it was a nice experience.
The time will pass quite mostly only by sitting in the bus or on the train and 2 hours in Saint Moritz. I would rather depart earlier and have more time in S Moritz.
It started at 9.15 from Milano and we arrived to S Moritz at 13:15 and the train was at 15:30 but you need to be at the train station at 15:00 with the group so also you can choose a nice seat. Then we arrived to Tirana about 18 and arrived to Milano at 21:30.
The people who joined this were mostly families and old couples. We were two friends 30yo but it was super nice.
Special thanks to our guide Alessandra and our drivers they were always so nice and understanding.

An absolutely fabulous trip from start to finish, made all the better by our fantastic guide, Monica.
From the drive to St Moritz through the mountains and the train journey, it was all excellent. Such a unique way to see the breathtaking scenery.
Would highly recommend.

Was very nice, I loved the guide
Her attitude and her enthusiasm…
But I wished we were allowed to drink our cofeee on the train and eat a bite
There was no toilet in the coach

Monika was amazing! She gave us so much information about the areas we traveled through, and we had a great time. Highly recommended

Absolutely awesome experience from start to finish. Very well organised and value for money. Highly recommended
Lauren_H, Dec 2025
Really badly organised, "English" tour guide could not speak English, no commentary from the tour guide on the coach, and what she did say nobody could understand. Train back was in pitch black after an hour and although we were told that half the tour would be in the dark, we were told certain parts were illuminated and would be nice to see in the dark.... I didnt see anything.
Time in St Morirtz was lovely, however the guide insisted we follow her to a bakery and chocolate shop so I am assuming she was commission based if people spent money.
Knowing what I know now I would never have booked this tour. Its a long day, out of 12 hours I would say we were on our feet 3 hours so 9 hours we were sat on a coach or a train, it cost a family of 4 almost £500 - i suggest you research and book independently.
Prior to our trip we received correspondence that we were being collected later, as a result we would be upgraded. Not sure what the upgrade was.
nickycooke, Dec 2025
Never accept a later train with the promise of a “upgrade” they don’t do it and the best bits to see is too late as it’s dark???
Meghan_G, Dec 2025
Having booked with family , I was split from group and changed to 9am departure instead of 7am.
One carriage was booked not enough seats! Lost daylight within 30 mins of train departing at 4:15 been denied a refund! Disgusting customer service
Michelle_P, Dec 2025
If your visiting Milan this is a must do, it’s a long day but the coach was really comfortable Monica our guide was brilliant and Giovanni the driver made us feel safe all the way navigating the climb up the alps with expertise. St Moritz is stunning and the stop at Lugano also a lovely place the Bernina express journey was absolutely breath taking thank you for a day we will never forget
DANIELLE_P, Dec 2025
Tour guides were great, and the views are amazing. Unfortunately you don’t get the uninterrupted panoramic views that they promise. It’s your standard train carriage
Bryan_M, Nov 2025
Amazing experience! It was a great time. You have a pit stop, then you get to be in the city for an hour or so. The train ride was well organized, and make sure to take snacks.
Alexandra_C, Nov 2025
I booked a tour to St. Moritz with a 2h train ride and 2h30 there. The schedule was changed to 9:45 with no clear warning that there’d be almost no time in St. Moritz and the trip would be mostly at night. I asked for details and got no reply. Changes were only explained on the bus. I paid for an earlier train to have some time in St. Moritz.
Joyce_S, Nov 2025
Most of this trip in the Alps was dark. Too much sitting. Never saw St. Moritz in the dark. No time to shop; no place to shop. Tour guide was to loud and spoke on and on. And it was worse bc he said everything twice. English was hard to follow.
Rania_H, Nov 2025
I took the Bernina train and honestly, I really liked it. The ride itself is stunning — the scenery is unbelievable and absolutely worth doing at least once in your life. When I reached St. Moritz, it was pretty much a ghost town… very empty, very quiet. But at the same time, it had its own charm and was still super nice to walk around and see.
Overall, the journey is definitely worth it: a beautiful experience, amazing views, and something you should try at least once
Arlene_L, Nov 2025
The tour was advertised as an English-speaking tour, but our guide spoke mostly in Spanish throughout. He explained everything in Spanish and gave very little attention to providing explanations in English, leaving us unsure of what we were seeing or where we were going. He often walked far ahead of the group, making it difficult to keep track of him.
We could hardly understand any part of the tour since he rarely spoke English. He did not even introduce himself at the start. At one point, the group was delayed after a toilet and coffee break because he had not kept track of the participants and thought someone was missing.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The guide focused mainly on Spanish-speaking participants and neglected those from other countries, which made the tour frustrating and unenjoyable.

Bernina express is amazing. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable and helpful. This tour is worth the price.
Clare_W, Nov 2025
This is a long but truly beautiful day, the scenery the whole time is perfect both on the coach and on the train 🚆
St moritz is very quiet and most shops close, but we enjoyed the nature and walk around the lake, watching red squirrels x
The guide kept us informed and the train journey with windows down made for perfect pictures x
Joseph_P, Nov 2025
Go only while summer time is still in force as the day gets dark by 1630 and the Bernina train ride starts at 1600 with the result that you will not be able to see much. Also avoid Sundays as all the shops are closed and streets are pretty deserted.
Melissa_L, Nov 2025
Our trip on the Bernina Express was a great way to start our Italian vacation. The whole experience was great and we were so appreciative for all that Monica shared with us about St.Moritz and the other areas visited. She really was the best - full of knowledge and so very kind.
Steve_S, Nov 2025
It was exceptional and the views were great. The only problem was the guide did not have several peoples reservation and it took 30 minutes to check everyone in on the bus.
marcos_G, Oct 2025
Long trip on bus, then on the Bernina express choose the panoramic windows!! The views are spectacular!! Smooth ride o. The train , and great commentary by our tour guide!!
Phillip_C, Oct 2025
What a great time. Our guide was beyond nice, knowledgeable, and elevated the experience! As for the trip itself, breathtaking! I would have loved to see more snow but hey, that's not to say it wasn't worth it. Tip- do the non panoramic train for the best experience because you can open the windows and really get some great pics.
Indah_D, Oct 2025
This Bernina red train tour is excellent. With breathtaking views along the way.
Our tour guide Alesandro is very organised, helpful & knowledgeable, so we enjoyed our trips lot , highly recomended
Nicky_B, Oct 2025
The experience was on a very tight and cramped, crowded bus for 7 hours.
If you are tall it’s not for you.
St. Moritz was a disappointment.
It’s a modern high end shopping mall and not the quaint Swiss resort I was expecting.
The beautiful views of the Alps was the only saving grace for this day trip.
Amy_W, Oct 2025
Tour guide was late to start and very very disorganized/ Rafaelle. Took him about 45 min to even say anything to group and introduce himself. He got better after that/ but the dual language info was more on Italian side. People asked questions and he didn’t share in English- we might have been interested?
He was hard to hear as well.
Driver was excellent.
I booked last minute due to delay home- but if doing again- would do on my own. Guide wasn’t really much value add.wr also spent three hours in st Moritz which was not known. Way toooo long.
Farokh_A, Oct 2025
I loved the tour leader Kiara and how much she helped us and very friendly to all . What I didn’t like was the tour was supposed to be Bernina express which it was not and No Panoramic windows it was just average train but I’ve enjoyed the scenery very much.
