Long day but worth it. A fantastic trip.
Monika is a lovely guide. Beautiful scenery, very comfortable train.
The Bernina express was a definite highlight as well as the drive up the mountain and rhe switch backs. What skill by our driver Mr Edison. Our guide Monica was very friendly & extremely helpful & knowledgeable.
Wonderful day. Tour guide Hujo (?) so knowledgeable and kept us on track. She even helped us with the metro!

Twisty high roads then st moritz - beautiful and small , then the train was fantastic, snow capped glacier and twisty turns

The bus ride to the train is long, but beautifully scenic. Passing Lake Lecco, Lake Como, towering mountains on each side... picturesque and stunning.
Once on the train, the views only get better. It is nice to be able to move around on the train after being on a bus for a few hours.
I absolutely recommend this trip to anyone. Not for faint of heart, as some of the visas and vertical drop offs out of the bus window can give a little bit of vertigo, but if you are up for the adventure, DO IT!
Monica (spelling, sorry...) and Luis (also poor spelling, sorry) were very helpful, informative and exciting to listen to! They will do everything they can to make sure you do not get left behind (the rest is up to you).
Also, if you enjoy wine, you will have some time to shop before the final bus, and you should try to find some wine from Valtelina!
Do yourself a favor, go on this trip. A group of 2 or 4 is ideal. 100% perfect for a couple
Incredible itinerary! Tour guides were awesome. Must do panorama option on train. Train ride was comfortable with tremendous views.
The entire experience start to finish with one of the best tours I have ever taken. Our guide was most helpful, friendly and fun! The beauty of northern Italy and Switzerland absolutely space for itself.

It’s value for money - in one day tour you see some iconic buildings in Milan, see country side of Italy, cross over to Switzerland and spend time in st Moritz in addition to amazing viewing of alps and Swiss villages.

I had originally booked this trip for the train ride not realizing that the bus ride would provide breathtaking views as well!!! Absolutely beautiful scenery nothing like I had ever seen before! The trip was very organized with an easy to find meeting point in Milan, provided with an air conditioned coach bus with large windows that took us to Switzerland, with stops in St. Moritz and Tirano. Also stopped at a cafe on the way to St. Moritz. We took the Bernina Express with the panoramic windows which further enhanced the experience. Mario was an amazing tour guide with advanced knowledge of the area and gave us clear instructions and recommendations on things to do at each of our stops. Shoutout to Ricardo the bus driver for navigating those narrow roads along the way safely!!! Would 100% recommend this trip, every dollar was worth the price!!!
This was such a lovely experience, and perhaps the most efficient way to do the Bernina Express.
I had spent weeks trying to figure out how to pull this off. This tour gives you the ride in a single day from Milan and it takes a lot of coordination to do it right.
Our driver Nikita and our guide Alessandra were both amazing. Driving us up through the winding alpha in comfort to St Moritz and then picking us up in Torino and driving us back to Milan. None of it was easy and they made it look easy.
The Bernina Express is every bit worth the hype, and Alessandra would point out to us where to look, a few minutes before the best features showed up.
She showed us the best spots on the train to take photos from. This would have been a far more difficult and less fun or immersive without them.

It's a LONG day.
Our weather was beautiful, driver of the bus to the train, as well as our guide were phenomenal.

Absolutely go for the panoramic cars- we
( the guests on the tour) had our own spacious car- no scrabbling for seats. Bring water and snacks!

It was a long day but well worth the trip. Our driver and guide were wonderful. The day was well planned out and very well executed; although another 30 minutes in St. Moritz would have been nice. The views from the the train were amazing and the tour guide always gave a heads up so we did not miss anything. The views on the bus ride up were great too. We left from Milan where the temperatures were far different than St Moritz. We were blessed with a beautiful day but you should check the weather forecast before you get on the bus.
This is a wonderful, all-day tour making several stops and culminating with a 2+ hour train ride on the highest train line in the Alps. It is a must for anyone whose visit to an Italy does not allow for more than a day trip to Switzerland. Even if you are staying in Switzerland, it is still an essential trip. As great as the trip was, it was made immeasurably better by our guide, Monica and our driver Maximillian. Monica's extensive knowledge of Northern Italy and Switzerland truly made the trip and Maximillian's expert driving through the tricky Alps was impressive, to say the least. This tour would not have been the same without them.
A lot of sitting but excellent scenery. You’ll take too many photos but you’ll have magnificent memories. If you are in Northern Italy, this is not to be missed!
It is a long trip to get to the train. St Moritz is beautiful. The train ride was spectacular.
Getting seats on the train was problematic as there were not enough seat to sit together on the train.. the tour provider did a poor job of arranging this part

Tour of Saint Moritz and Bernina train journey with panoramic windows was exceptional with both coach and Bernina train journey showing us exceptional views and scenery of Switzerland that the pictures can never capture. Me and my husband will never forget this journey. Tour guide Monica was friendly with lots of information and good spoken English. We really enjoyed her skills and company. Don’t miss it go for it!
They gave away my seat 1/2 way thru the bus from milan to st moritz while we were at a stop for coffee etc. I return and the guide tells me he gave her my seat. II was left with the seat furthest row back, less leg room and no longer a window. The window seat was occupied by a grown son who kept leaning forward, putting his head through the seats, taking 25% of my space and they spoke constantly.
The Guide said the woman was pregnant and had motion sickness. Truth is her and her husband were separated in the back and I had a vacant seat next to me. He could have given her the seat next to me and husband could stay where he was. 2 hours more to St Moritz as uncomfortable as it could get.
On the return we took the Berlini express which stops in Torino and you get back on bus. I wasn’t going to suffer another 2 hours and bought a train ticket to return to Milan.
Amazing trip and views. It’s a long day but St Moritz is not close to Milan. The Bernina Express is one of those experiences you must take. The tour guide Laura was wonderful but the beauty of the scenery speaks for itself.
We were disappointed to learn that St Moritz was "closed" for the season. Most of the shops and cafes were closed. This should have been explained in the description of the tour, BEFORE signing up and paying.

Our Bernina Express panoramic train tour from Milan to St. Moritz and back was absolutely incredible. The views were the true highlight, endless snow-capped mountains, sparkling lakes, and stunning alpine scenery through the panoramic windows made every moment feel unreal.
Our tour guide was very professional and kept everything smooth and enjoyable. St. Moritz was beautiful, but the journey itself was unforgettable. Highly recommend!
You won’t want to miss this trip. Unbelievable scenery with excellent guide Mario. Great bus driver Alberto and fabulous seating on the train. If your unsure whether to do this trip because of the cost you will be more then grateful that you went.
Don’t hesitate to take this tour it’s worth every minute of travel time. The bus ride is pleasant as the bus is very comfortable with large panoramic windows. There is beautiful scenery on the trip to st Moritz and the tour guide is humerous and knowledgeable. St Moritz shops were mostly closed due to it being off season, however we had a wonderful lunch and a beautiful walk. You are seated with your tour group on a separate panoramic Bernina train car and the ride is amazing. Don’t worry too much about what side of the train to sit on as the windows are massive and you can see the scenery from both sides. Also the train is slow moving so if you are seated traveling backwards it’s not a problem if you have motion sickness. The seat stress is unfounded. The return bus ride also was pleasant and comfortable and you are dropped off at the starting point by 9:00 pm. Would give this tour a 10 out of 10.

Mario is an excellent guide, with lots of interesting information and anecdotes which he gave us throughout the whole day! And, our bus drivers were great. The rest/lunch stop on our way up was just right, with lots of tasty options. On the Bernina Express we enjoyed wonderful scenery in the panoramic car (windows that curve up into the top of the car for maximum viewing). The railroad is an amazing feat of engineering! That being said, here are two improvements I recommend to the rail line. 1. Refit the car with seats that all face the direction of travel (moveable backs for the change of direction at each end of the route). 2. Being a UNESCO Heritage site, there is so much more information that the downloadable audio guide could supply, along with appropriate music between the commentary, and the use of modern GPS technology so the information they supply is actually coordinated with the areas in which we travel. Here are two things to know about this Viator trip. 1. Be aware that, because there is just one set of tracks between stops, there are numerous times when the train needs to pull over and wait for trains traveling the same tracks the other direction. 2. This particular tour only does the 2 hour train from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy. If you want to see the Landwasser Viaduct, you need to sign up for a tour with the complete 4 hr Chur, Switzerland to Tirano, Italy train route.
Now, last but not least, if you take this tour, when you're in St. Moritz I recommend the upstairs of La Stalla restaurant for a meal (we had a delicious cheese fondue). The wait staff is very friendly and the decor is cozy Swiss. 👍
Overall it was a nice experience.
The time will pass quite mostly only by sitting in the bus or on the train and 2 hours in Saint Moritz. I would rather depart earlier and have more time in S Moritz.
It started at 9.15 from Milano and we arrived to S Moritz at 13:15 and the train was at 15:30 but you need to be at the train station at 15:00 with the group so also you can choose a nice seat. Then we arrived to Tirana about 18 and arrived to Milano at 21:30.
The people who joined this were mostly families and old couples. We were two friends 30yo but it was super nice.
Special thanks to our guide Alessandra and our drivers they were always so nice and understanding.
Alessandra was amazing!! Beautiful trip!!!!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!! The bernina express was breathtaking
