When deciding how to get around St. Mortiz, you can’t find a more efficient (or scenic) mode of transport than rail tours—they’re the perfect way to access unobstructed views of Switzerland's magnificent alpine scenery without having to climb steep mountains. Many train trips begin in Milan or the Italian border town of Tirano before setting off on a scenic route showcasing lakes, glaciers, rivers, waterfalls, and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Some tours even provide opportunities to hop off the train and explore charming towns such as Zermatt, Tirano, or St. Moritz itself on foot.
