I absolutely recommend this tour! We scheduled this as a cruise excursion while at port and everything went very smoothly. There weren't too many people and the crew was awesome! Very knowledgeable and helpful and the equipment was in great shape! The statues were incredible and clearly visible and my phone's pictures don't do them justice. We'll definitely do this snorkel again when we return.

Cool family snorkel trip

Great crew, about 45 min snorkel time. I was not expecting much, but it was actually an amazing time. The 300 underwater statues were really cool, lots of fish.

This was an amazing excursion. We loved having the underwater park to ourselves so you didn’t have a lot of snorkelers crowding you like some of the other tours. Our guides were absolutely fantastic!! The history of the underwater park was so neat! Best excursion of our cruise!

The experience was new and captivating. Although I typically avoid deep waters, the helpful captain encouraged me to participate. My son and I saw many types of fish and even turtles. The statues play a vital role in creating homes and food for marine life, and I appreciate what they do for the ocean. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy such an adventure..

Well done for being brave and getting in to see the sculptures. They are at a depth of 15 feet/ 5 meters - we picked that area so it wasn't too overwhelming to snorkel there at that depth. Glad you enjoyed it!

We took the first morning tour and the visibility was perfect!! We saw all the sculptures clearly and plenty of fish swimming around, even turtles! My daughter loved the tour and swimming around, easy enough for a 14 year old trying it for the first time. The gear was provided, the boat ride was super nice. Our tour guides were the best, great stories about the sculpture park and the island history. I would say the tour was the highlight of our trip! Definitely recommend the photo package, it’s worth it!

Was hoping to see lots of statues but the water was very murky and could not see any. The crew was wonderful and they can't help the water conditions but just go with low expectations.

Unfortunately, sea conditions and visibility can change from day to day due to weather, currents, and other natural factors that are completely beyond our control. That’s why it’s a bit of a shame to see a 1-star rating when it sounds like the only issue was the sea conditions rather than the experience or service we provided. When the water is clear, our park is usually a highlight and many guests are able to enjoy them fully. Im sorry that you didnt get to experience that, but Im sorry for us that you bothered to give us such a low review. Hope to see you another time one day and we exceed your expectations.

Visibility was very poor. Not worth going. Money should be refunded.. The water had moss and sea grass and very murky. You could only see a few feet down.

This tour is a very reasonably priced snorkel tour. The statue snorkel park was very interesting. They water was beautiful. The crew were lovely. I plan to book with them again the next time we are in St. Martin.

Underwater Sculpture Excursion

It was difficult to see the sculptures. Only saw a few fish. The boat was very difficult to get off with snorkel gear on, we had to jump off the ship. Also getting back on the boat the steps were very narrow, extremely difficult climbing and getting back in. The boat ride was fun.

Sorry you didnt enjoy the tour and shame about the weather/visibility. Im sure if the visibility was better and fish came out you would have felt differently.

The crew was very knowledgeable, the boat was great, but unfortunately the water was so murky we didn't really see any of the sculptures. The cruise ship we were on cancelled their trip because of this but this tour operator did not, so a bit unfortunate for us. I'm sure they knew the conditions if our ship did. Hope others get a better experience!

Hi there - we always continue to go out on the tour as alot of people still want to explore and have the experience. We cannot be in charge of the weather and the visibility - this is the nature of working in the sea. It can change from hour to hour depending on the weather unfortunately.

Any project to supprt marine life can only be a good thing. On the day we visited it was a little windy but this was enough to reduce visibility by about 80%. I would only recommend if weather is very calm and no wind. To add the the problem after about 15 minutes several catermarans arrived and made the site very busy...

Hi Alan, the weather has been a bit tricky for us over these past couple of weeks - not a lot we can do about it. We are also in a secure bay, so alot of catamarans use the bay to protect from the wind. Annoying for our guests and annoying for us to not be able to show you the sculptures at their very best.

The staff was courteous, and on time they were clear and understandable, personable, and helpful. They explained and gave us the history of the museum, which was very helpful. Once we went into the water, bring earplugs as the water splashes on the side of your head also sweatshirts after you come out it’s very cold. Bring your own towels and your own water.

Derek and Tyrell was amazing . Derek gave a history of the park before we got in the water . Derek told us about the fish and marine life we may see .There were sting rays , lion fish , eel , barracudas , turtles and the statues were amazing .

Sculpture snorkel adventure!

Very fun excursion! We were on a cruise ship and it was easy to get to the meeting place by either the water taxi, regular taxi or a 20 min walk. The guides were great and this whole thing was a great learning experience about the history of St Maarten and culture. These sculptures are an excellent way to create new coral and support marine life. Excited to hear there are more in other countries. We saw lots of fish and exploring the grounds was easy and the water was clear for us. For information only: this tour would not be for people who can’t swim or get in/out of boat. You jump from boat into water and use ladder to get back up into boat. They provided the masks, flippers and optional float device. It was about 2 hrs start time to finish which was about 45 min actual snorkeling which was the right amount of time to explore the park a couple times. They gave a nice orientation on the boat about the sculptures and how they were made and the map of the area.

If conditions are cloudy, fish and statues are hard to see. Boat was nice and had enclosed totes to keep your stuff dry. Staff and captain very informative and friendly. Good experience overall.

As an older person, I was concerned about getting on and off the boat. However, Derek and Ashley were awesome. The snorkeling was a fun adventure and I enjoyed looking at the statues. I would absolutely do it again.

Excellent trip. Saw all kinds of fish including squid, puffer fish, and more. Loved this excursion. So glad I found it as Royal Caribbean didn’t offer much for our cruise. Highly recommend.
