Our sunset cruise was very enjoyable. Our captain was friendly and his boat was clean and fast. We enjoyed the wine, beer, and snacks. It was fun to see the night lights along the shores and larger yachts along our trip.

The experience was canceled hours before with no explanation. We were extremely disappointed that our New Year’s Eve plans were ruined.

Booked this experience, nearly 1 month in advance, for our anniversary. At 6 am, on the day of the "sunset cruise", we received an email from Viator saying the operator had cancelled the tour.
No reason was provided. I am certain it was not weather/water related, since we watched several very small boats sail out that evening.
There was an option to "choose another date", and I asked the viator rep if they could reschedule the day of their 10 yr anniversary - we opted for a full refund.
Apparently, this has happened to others & it is really a poor business practice.
So, as the title says - "Buyer Beware" & maybe create a backup plan.

We are very sorry for this situation, unfortunately it was overbooked by Viator, this happened only during Christmas new year eve period.
We are very sorry about the inconveniences.
Our boat charter company is always working hard to satisfy their guest, but sometimes with a third party like Viator it makes it harder.
You have all the apologies from paper boat charter company.
Of course you will be totally refunded.

The overall experience was great. It was a little nerve wracking wondering if we were in the right place to find the boat. The gps led us to a closed dirt road. I wish there was a more specific address for the gps. Like the name of the resort (ansel beach resort) that was adjacent to the marina. I had a couple of through viator with no response. We are not able to call out of n our phones but were able to borrow someone to call and get the questions answered. Overall, once on the boat we had an excellent time. William was an excellent captain, full of knowledge and quite pleasant.

We had the pleasure of witnessing the most spectacular sunset. Even the various boat captains at the dock were enthralled. Our tour captain, William was fantastic. So friendly, accommodating and fit in like another family member. ❤️

Elliot was great captain! He had a beautiful charcuterie board and beverages ready for our cruise. The boat was very nice and the tour was very enjoyable. Elliott was a knowledgeable tour guide as well, sharing with us his experience as a 30 year islander. We will definitely plan to travel with him again!

First let me start that we had a wonderful time. I can’t say enough good things about the Victor the captain of the Boat. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to show us a good time. The boat was nice and my grandchildren had a wonderful time.
Now we had this booked for a Sunday. The marina is under reconstruction after the hurricane. There are no signs, or directions were given for where to meet the Boat. Upon arrival we called, the person that answered the phone had to get back to us. We were informed that he had no boat for that day, he had the dates wrong, so we had to come back the next day.
Per the Overview. “Sail along” we did not have a sail boat it was a motor boat.
“nibble on cheese and crackers” No cheese or crackers
“Unlimited drinks (open bar)” Beer , wine and Rum only, with mixers, serve yourself.
I still give it 4 stars because we had a wonderful time
But confirm with the boat before you go, It’s an expensive taxi ride .

I think the most important part of this sunset cruise is to set your expectations in the right place. When I read private cruise for 2 on a yacht, I was expecting a fancy boat with wine contstantly flowing. The boat is a bit old. It’s just you and the captain, Elliot. He is friendly. He offers a decent selection of drinks. The cruise was quick, 5-6:15pm. He called at 4:30pm to ask where we were, saying that our tour started at 4:30pm. No where on the booking said that. We wished we had known that earlier bc it was a nice experience and it would have been great to be on the water a little longer. Elliot provides 4 types of soft cheese and bread to go with it. The sunset is beautiful and he takes you to different coves of the island and points out which beaches are which. I liked this touch. We had enough time to have two glasses of wine, the sun quickly disappeared and Elliot rushed back to shore at high speeds before it was completely dark. It was a little bumpy and quick for my taste, but my husband didn’t seem to mind. Again, the key here would have been to start a little earlier bc it was a nice experience and I wished it was longer and didn’t feel as rushed.
