Josipa Is one of the best tour guys we've ever had. we've taken many tours in many different cities and she is by far one of the best we've ever had. she was extremely accommodating to our group which included four children under the age of 12 and was conscious of the temperature and made sure to be informative yet efficient. she's extremely knowledgeable about the area and we would highly highly recommend her to anybody wanting a wonderful tour. her background is rich in heart and history and her presentation style makes it easy to understand and exciting to learn about all the different cultural and historical background of the area. Our stay in split would not have been the same without her.

Josipa has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Split and the various periods of archaeological investigations in the Old City and Diocletian’s Palace. I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed walking the city.
My tour was early in the day, and I recommend that to get in before the crowds and before it gets too hot.

Our family had a wonderful tour with Josipa of the beautiful city of Split and the Diocletian Palace. Josipa weaved her deep knowledge of history and architecture in recounting the story of this ancient place. She had great command of the pace and rhythm of the tour. Our guide, Josipa, was amazing! She asked great questions of us before we headed into Diocletian’s Palace and put a lot of context behind the architecture, history, and layout of this amazing Roman Palace. Josipa was filled with knowledge and insights, pointing out specifics and details that you may overlook just walking around on your own. She was very informative, pleasant and had a nice sense of humor to keep the tour positive and educational.

I really enjoyed this tour. Josipa was an absolutely excellent and informative guide. Over 90 minutes she gave a summary of the history and architecture of the city centre - plenty of detail, but not overwhelming! - and I felt like there was an excellent balance between a general overview and other interesting facts that came up in conversation.

Excellent tour with a learned guide (Josipa) and art historian who gave an interesting, cogent and layered tour of the palace. We really appreciated how she connected the history, geography and culture of Spit and why Diocletian built his palace at this peninsula. Highly recommended, especially if you are a history buff.

Josipa brought Diocletian's Palace to life, not only the buildings and architecture, but the way people lived at the time it was built and in centuries after. The small group settling fostered us asking questions and receiving answers that personalized the experience. We learned about people of split today. We know to rub Gregor's toe for good luck and that Split residents all have a stone in the Piazza. We could answer the question "Where is Let Me Pass road?" It was a rewarding experience.

This is a truly personalized tour! And Josipa was fantastic! It was just her and my family of 4. No feeling rushed or herded or left behind or on the periphery barely able to see or hear. Josipa is extremely knowledgeable. We asked any and all questions that popped into our minds, whenever we wanted. We were surprised she was prepared for some of our curveball questions, and she provided so much more explanation and context than the (few!) historical placards. Walked at the pace we needed too, with family ranging from 29 to 77 years old. Skip the crowded hop-on-hop-off “train” or other city walking tours. This is the way to start any Split visit… with Josipa!

Great tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and was able to cover key sites around the old town but also deviate the tour to avoid crowded spots or large tours that took over the space. In our case a small group so very easy to hear and ask questions. Good recommendation for lunch too!

Outstanding tour with Josipa! Made the place come alive Highly recommend her as a guide if you are in Split. Her style of presenting history is quite natural and easy to follow, with wonderful details that add to the location. She did a wonderful job explaining how the Roman->Medieval>current day details fit together.
We learned a tremendous amount and quite enjoyed the experience. We saw aspects that we completely missed on our own the prior day, even though we were looking carefully as we walked about. Highly recommend booking her if you want a quality experience in Split.
-As other travelers have noted, she is wonderful to work with when travel schedules do not cooperate. We had to shuffle our tour date around a fair amount due to canceled flights and she was an absolute gem about it all. Greatly appreciated!
-If she has availability in the morning, go with that. It was quite nice to see the area without the cruise ship groups mobbing the various stops.
-Most of the walk is flat and easy walking, with slightly uneven areas in some locations.

A truly excellent tour with Josipa. She proved to be the perfect guide with a passion for art, architecture, history and Dalmatia that shines through.
This remarkable site was explained clearly with reference to many relevant archetctutal examples around the world.
She also introduced us to Split outside of the Palace walls with insights into the history and culture of this fascinating city.
All this at a very reasonable price. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Split.

I was lucky to be the only person in the tour, so I got a private tour from Josipa, which made the tour even more enjoyable as it's more of a conversation.
She's very knowledgeable, and as a local she knows the best places for specific activities and food (do ask her about it).
The tour itself is nice as well, with a good balance of standing and walking and the places we've visited was not only within Old Town city walls.
