Starting point is at the Golden Gate which are northern gate of the Diocletian`s Palace. They are situated opposite of one more significant monument, 8 meter high statue of Gregory of Nin. The pictures of Golden Gate and Gregory of Nin are among the pictures of this experience.

Excellent tour of castle and history.
Out guide was a history teacher and knew his stuff! Could have had a little more tour outside castle, but we had wonderful conversations with our guide!

Fun, interesting and informative. A good two-hour intro to Croatia from a local history teacher. Got to see (and learn background on) parts of the old city I would never otherwise have seen or understood. And yet not too serious.

I can’t imagine a better way to explore Diocletians Palace than in a small group led by a historian. Boris, our guide, really brought to life the size and scope of the palace, the various temples in the palace grounds, and its strategic importance. This was an excellent tour.

This tour was VERY worth our time! It actually ended up being closer to 2.5 hours. The tour guide was so informative not only about the history of the palace and split but also the geopolitical landscape and regional differences of Croatia. We had spent 8 days in Croatia prior to this tour so it was the perfect way to cap our experience. The tour guide was a history teacher before and it shows! He was engaging, and involved us in his tour. My husband and I loved it. Also he recommended some great restaurants and activities.

Had an excellent tour with Boris. It doesn't get any better than hearing the story of the Diocletian's Palace from a history teacher who lives permanently in the city. He shared with us great stories about the Palace in addition to personal stories he and his parents experienced living in Split for decades. It was a very interactive session with reconstructed images of the old palace and several trivia questions that my daughter enjoyed answering. Highly recommended tour for adults and children. Boris is very fluent in english and this made the tour even more enjoyable.

We really enjoyed going on this tour. Boris gave us so much history of the palace. Posted a picture of the bookstore, Morpurgo, which I would have never known the significance of this place had he not told us. This was just one example of many. He has grown up and lived in this area so he can share about the current local culture as well. Excellent guide about the past and life in Split now

Boris was a fantastic guide and much more intimate experience than others you see around Split as the group is small. We were able to ask as many questions as we liked, learnt about creation culture as well as history, and had a fun time too. Highly recommend this tour.

Boris is an absolutely amazing guide. Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and very attentive to our comfort and questions. He also made good suggestions for ice cream, coffee and restaurants, and had personal stories that added life to the history. We wished we could have him guide us in other places in Croatia.

Amazing tour that turned out to be just us because we booked it for December! Boris is awesome and such a great guide. You can tell he’s a great teacher. He’s very knowledgeable, brought printed photos to show further history of Split, and added his own personal stories that made the tour genuine.

This was a terrific tour of the Diocletian's Palace - I highly recommend. Boris was incredibly knowledgeable, articulate, and engaging. It was truly a small group, just 8 people, and Boris learned everyone's name and encouraged questions throughout. Boris was very easygoing in his talk but as a life-long resident of Split and professional historian, you could see and feel his passion for the palace and town. And he gave some great recommendations on additional points of interest, restaurants, coffee shops, and areas to visit outside of Split. Well worth it, you won't be disappointed!

Boris, our tour guide, was amazing. Happy to discuss broader topics about regional changes, always including and engaging the teenage members of our small party and constantly delighting and informing us with facts and information relating to the parts of the palace we visited. This was a packed two hours and none of us regretting a single minute of it.
During and at the end of our tour he recommended local shops and restaurants that we did go to and enjoy later.
We can thoroughly recommend Boris and his tour and if I visit Split again I will not hesitate to book him again.
