Amazing trip to Croati
lakes and waterfalls! The scenery was stunning, and it was lovely having a small group — it made the day feel relaxed and personal. The lakes weren’t busy, so we could really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Mia was a fantastic guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience unforgettable!

Mia our guide was lively, knowledgeable and friendly, her English was good.
The lakes are beautiful, and the waterfalls are something else, it is a trip not to miss. There are plenty of comfort stops, places to get refreshments. All in all is was a wonderful trip.

double check times/dates you are going - spectacular place, unfortunately it was so crowded we had to shuffle around and missed our boat trip. make sure you go very early or off peak times

Stunning!
Great experience with Mia & Sanja walking through the National park. I couldn’t imagine leaving Croatia without having visited. Saying this, I would have loved more time to really take in the beauty of the park, but the pace was kept so we’d be able to see the majority of lakes, falls & scenery. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had an outstanding day out with our guides Mia and Sanja - they were friendly, communicated clearly, were knowledgeable, funny and helpful. Plitvice Lakes NP exceeded my expectations with its unique and impressive beauty, unlike anything I've seen to date! This tour involved about 1.5 hours of easy to moderate intensity walking, and all up we spent 4 hours seeing the sights of the park. Be prepared for significant crowds, even in the off season.

Ivanka the tour guide she was extremely knowledgable, entertaining, and organised. Grey Tours are lucky to have her working for them as she enjoyed her work and this shows in the time of our tour. Peter also drove very well. I saw beautiful waterfalls and area surrounding them.

The lakes we’re beautiful. The extra walk to see ‘behind’ the waterfall was a non event - we all regretted going down then back up again. The tour was not as per the tickets we purchased - there was NO Airbase guided tour - not even a photo stop. There was no boat ride to explore the lakes - just a 2 min crossing from one jetty to another. There was NO train ride. It was a long drive and it was ONLY to Piltvice Lakes. Oh yes - on the day we were informed entry to park was now €40 per person. It had increased from €22 to €33 then to €40. Which is a LOT for a family of 5. They would NOT honour the charge quoted on our printed tickets.

This was a great tour. Ivanka. Was amazing. She made the trip.
The office charged us 20 euros more cause they didn’t fill a bus. They said it was the entrance fee. The entrance fee does not change. They charge cause not enough people go. No where does it say you have to pay more if a smaller group.
Was happy with the tour guide but grey lines I would give one star.

Not sure where the problem arose, entrance tickets for the Plitvice lakes are 40€ per person which you were charged and you can check online the price of National Park entrance ticket. It is not Gray Lines fault that entrance ticket for the National Park is that expensive.

Charged me 14 euros more because they couldn’t get enough people for a bus tour. The driver slammed on the breaks several times with a lady from our minivan flying forward all the way to the front seat. They air conditioning wasn’t working well, so we were all very hot on our 3 hour trip each way. Many seatbelts are not there for a safe drive. The ladies at the checkin place could hardly add and were extremely rude.
The tour guide Joseph they hired who is outsourced was very nice, but the rest of the experienced ruined the trip.

The guide Barry was amazing he has so much knowledge of croatian history and was so friendly and helpful. The views were out of this world and thanks to Barry we got to see each of the upper and lower lakes. The bus journey is long but we got a break at a gas station on each trip and even stopped for lunch at an amazing restaurant on the way back.
Only negative is that we unfortunately did not get to see the Zeljava Airbase.

Guide was very informative and skilled in keeping our group together. Bus ride was long but comfortable with well timed breaks. Plitvice is a wonder not to be missed! Lakes and falls stunning! There are options for those not up to fairly strenuous hiking.

An early start - 6.20am from Trogir and then to Split to pick up rest of group going to Park, made the journey long. Our guide Ivanka was brilliant- a person who is clearly in love with Plitvice. Using the “train” up and walking back was ideal. With Ivanka explains everything we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The lunch stop was an excellent place - great selection of food, vary tasty and good value. Throughout the day everything was perfect - making up for the journey to and back.

Overall great trip. The gas station stops halfway were a nice break. The guide was great! (Sorry I forget his name) and the parks were beautiful! The only negative was most people were not wearing masks inside the bus I would have liked the company to enforce that

Had a fabulous time at plitvice Lakes, the lakes were stunning, our tour guide Oliver was fantastic he was friendly and chatty, knowledgeable and organised and offered to take photos for the group at different points which was appreciated by all.
The lunch stop served burgers, sandwiches and chips ect, something to note is they are only taking card payments so do bring a bank card.
We stopped off at a service station on the way there and on the way back and we was made aware of all toilet facilities when at the park also.
We travelled on a full size bus with only 20 of us in the group which was nice as there was lots of space and felt more covid safe as we wasn't cramped up- please keep doing this it is worth it and appreciated👍 we were asked to pop masked on when on bus's and boats too.
It was a great day, didn't feel like too much of a rush either which was nice! Thank you Oliver!

The Plivitice national park is absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend visiting if you are in Croatia.
Only downside: the local guide tour (Gray Lines Agency).
The bus air conditioner was broken and we were suffocating during the 3h hour trip to Plivitice. The tour guide was rude and always rushing us. We did not have time to take pictures or just enjoy the different sceneries. The whole group of 50 people that we were was mad at him. He only gave us 10 min to eat in the park out of a total tour of 6h and then we had a random stop at 4pm to eat at a “local restaurant” were we had to pay for expensive food…
The thing that really irked me was the fact that they made us pay 250 HKR for the park entrance and actually in the tickets it was written 180 HKR for the price. Given that we already paid 55 dollars per person for the trip + experience, making us pay 10$ more on the Park Entrance ticket for no reason seemed a bit sneaky.
Conclusion: VISIT the park. It’s is stunning. Totally worth it. BUT I would not recommend the local tour guide we had.

I will start this review with the one con of this tour. In the write up of the tour it mentions a train ride, which is actually not offered on this tour. I’m not sure if it is something offered during other seasons since we were there at peak tourist season and a train might not have been doable with a lot of people. The description should be updated nonetheless.
Now for the tour. The 2.5 hour journey to the falls is actually not bad, and we stopped for a bathroom break and coffee about halfway through the trip (we did this coming back to Split too). The tour guide lets you take a bit of a nap too since the start time to the day is so early, but did give a good initial brief at the beginning of the trip and a little ways out from the park gave some other interesting information. We paid the entrance fee at the departure point before getting in the van so when we got to the falls as the guide got our tickets we were able to do another bathroom break. Once we got into the park, the guide did a great job of giving us a good time hack and let us go explore and take pictures at our own leisure. She met up with the group at different points (there was about 20 of us) and then explained the next portion of the park we were going to enter and then let us walk and take pictures on our own again. She checked in with us throughout our time in the park, but never made us feel rushed. We spent about 20 minutes about halfway through our time in the park to use the bathroom again and get a snack. The park does take about 4 hours to get through, but it is absolutely beautiful and an amazing piece of Croatia and nature to witness. On our way home we stopped for lunch around 3 PM at a very good restaurant not far from the falls.
Ivanka was our guide and I cannot express enough how great she was as a tour guide. Our driver was fantastic too! This is a really good tour and I highly recommend it to anyone that truly values the awe of nature.

Pluses: I've seen videos of this place and seeing it in real life didn't disappoint. Even a little rain didn't dampen our experience.
Cons: it's a 2.5 hr ride in a van from Split, so if you have restless kids, it might be a challenge. I was glad that I didn't have to do the drive myself and can just relax in the van.
Note: I was a little confused by the pick up point. So make sure you clarify the meeting spot in the morning, since it's quite early and could be a little stressful.

This place is breathtaking. At first we were unsure if it was going to be worth the 3 hour drive from Split, but I highly recommend this tour. No you won’t get to swim the lake, but you will be blown away by how beautiful this place is. Our photos look great but none of them did this place justice.
Our guide Pietar was informative, funny and made great recommendations. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in Split.
