We had a wonderful time at our cooking course with Giovanni! After a very easy commute in their family auto from Sorrento, we were welcomed into the family home with open arms. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in every regard! Giovanni walked us informatively through preparation of pasta, fritters, and a veal ragu dish, all of which were fun to make and thoroughly enjoyable to eat along with the wonderful wine choices! Dinner finished with our own lava cake, again very wonderful! We enjoyed every moment of this dinner cooking course, which was likely the “high point” of visit Sorrento!

This was such a great experience! My grandson ( 14 years old ) and I were really excited about this one. We were a party of 2, which made it even better because it was just us. No other people to share the cooking duties with! we made 2 Raviolis with a pork/cheese stuffing, A pasta with a very light lemon sauce, Brasciolle with was amazing, Pizza bread and Lava Cake for dessert. Giovanni was our Chef! amazing, i cant say enough good things about him, his home and the whole experience. I will book with him again if i am ever in Sorrento Again!

My family appreciated the flexibility of the time of our class. We were also so grateful for the pick up and drop off at our hotel. We were not afraid of getting lost, just in enjoying our time! The farm was beautiful and the family treated you like one of their own. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing, well planned class!

Not To Be Missed

We have been traveling through Italy for almost 2 weeks. We have had outstanding experiences at Lake Como in Venice in Florence And in many small towns and cities along the way. But the best part of our visit was going into Anna Marie’s home and spending the evening with her preparing her family dishes from scratch. We had a wonderful time and learned so much making chicken cacciatore, eggplant Parmesan, making two different kinds of pasta from scratch, and then transforming it into linguine, spaghetti, and ravioli. There were eight of us altogether, and we did not know these people, but we soon develop a wonderful rapport with each other in the warmth of the kitchen in learning new methods of cooking and drinking wine while we were doing it. At the end, after all the food was cooked we sat down together the table and ate it family style. We all agreed that it was the best meal that we had had in Italy, And we came home with some really great recipes, the knowledge of how to make them, and some wonderful memories.

What a fabulous day, from foraging around the farm for fresh herbs, eggs and tomatoes to being invited into the true Italian kitchen to cook with Giovanni and his Aunt Maria. Small group meant we were all hands on, lots of fun, laughter and beautiful true home style Italian food which we then sat down to eat on the balcony. Many happy memories for us all - chauffeured to and fro by cousin Luigi - can’t get a better experience in Sorrento.

This was the most beautiful setting for an amazing experience and the highlight of our trip to Sorrento! 10 stars! This class is set on a villa overlooking the Sorrento. We picked fresh herbs for our meal. They make their own olive oil and limoncello and rent rooms. I wish I could have stayed here. Laura was so kind, generous and gracious. We made a 5 course meal including pizza, two kinds of pasta, bracciole, limoncello tiramisu and wine. We left with a book of our recipes and some that she added for us.

Relaxing cooking class on a beautiful farm

The family at Villa Pane provided a relaxed evening on their beautiful farm. We enjoyed learning Giovanni’s cooking techniques and the aspects of their organic farm. It was fun watching my daughter make the gnocchi dough. The meal was very good and sitting outside watching the sunset was special.

Highlight of Sorrento. My kids loved this cooking class. We enjoyed the narrow roads to the Villa, Guido, the farm tour and Anne Marie’s cooking lessons and hospitality. A wonderful evening. The food was delicious too! Definitely something to do when in Sorrento!

Delicious dinner in the hills

It was a beautiful evening in the hills above Sorrento with Ana Maria, Luigi, Luigi, and of course Guido. The walk around the farm was very interesting and I loved picking herbs for our dinner. Learning to make the antipasti, dinner, and dessert was fun. The portions were very generous too. I bought some of the lemon marmalade and I can’t wait to have it at home.

Anna created an environment of learning how to cook authentic Italian food from family recipes. Sustainable products made from scratch for each dish. Nothing was wasted, either used in the dish or used in gardens and/or fed to animals on the farm. A truly wonderful experience. Absolutely a beautiful spot with views to the coast. Amazing!

We travelled with 2 adults and 2 children(10&12) our experience wad AMAZING! Toured the beautiful farm first. Enjpyed some snacks and wine before cooking. The coojing was great fun and the chefs we're wonderful. Engaging, informative and most important kind and funny! pick up snd drop off was seamless. It could not have been a better time..... Oh an of course dinner was great!!

Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. We were collected on time and shuttles to the Villa (via a very… interesting… road). Greeted enthusiastically by Anna Maria and the family. Wine was immediately poured (excellent start) and we were given an overview of the dishes. Kicked off with a demo of the panacotta but then our host gradually roped in members of the broader group to help out with various tasks, from kneading the meatball ingredients together through to mixing and applying the ravioli filling. Anna Maria is a total pro at this and we were well engaged and entertained on the way through. And… the final products were absolutely delicious and we left super full. Don’t hesitate to book this one. We want to do it again when we return to Sorrento. Grazie!

Cooking class with Anna Maria at the Villa Pane in Sorrento was so much fun! We made potato coquettes, gnocchi alla Sorrentino, meatballs and sauce, and lemon panna cotta. Then we sat to enjoy our labor with wine in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend this fun cooking class.

The best time

Not only do your make your food (an a lot of it), the time is so enjoyable. First they will pick you up at your hotel. Next you arrive and You get your recipe book. Anna Maria is the best host. She jokes around with you while she works with you making your meal. The interaction with the rest of the group was great. You make multiple portions of the meal including appetizers, first course, second course and dessert. They serve wine while you cook and eat. You take a tour of their farm and learn about how the family uses their garden and farm on a daily basis as you feel part of their family. Very hands on, you make pasta, meat, dessert and laugh a lot. The best time I have had in a cooking class.
