WOW whilst the sunrise...

gchestnutt376, Feb 2025
WOW whilst the sunrise wasn’t spectacular, it was so quiet and peaceful sitting there waiting to see what would happen. Visiting the temple complexes was an amazing experience. Nak, our guide, was very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with us and we very much appreciated him making sure we had a good spot to wait for the sunrise. He also made sure that my husband was coping with the various levels within the complexes visited - take note lots of very deep steps to negotiate into and out of the ruins. Do not be put off though as it’s an amazing experience.

Poor tour

The tour was not very well planned. After seeing the sunrise we have been left in a so called restaurant for three hours without any clear reason. Overall not a great experience.

Disappointing

HoiSze_N, Aug 2018
To be honest, it was quite a disappointing experience. First of all, one of the other tourist was late getting up, which pushed everyone's schedule back and the sky was bright already when we reached Angkor Wat. It was cloudy that day, so maybe the sunrise would've stayed hidden anyway, but I would never know will I? Additionally, I was expecting the tour guide to tell us more about the history on the temples we visited, but that was also not the case. When we were free to roam, I found myself tagging after OTHER tour guides to gleam any information that I could. So yes, it was an overall a very disappointing experience. I strongly suggest that all participants be warned that late shows shall be left behind on the confirmation/receipt whatever. It is unfair for others to suffer and missed out on what they paid for because of one inconsiderate person.

Wow this is a must tour to do if you...

Wow this is a must tour to do if you are going to Siem Reap which I guess if you are reading this review then you are at least thinking of going. We were picked up from our hotel at 0420 and then went on to pick up another couple before preceding to the ticket office. It costs 37 per each adult for a one day pass. Our tour guide Mr Srun Sarat was brilliant, his english was perfect and being an official Angkor Wat tour guide he knew the exact place for us to catch the sunrise which was awesome. The tour takes in Bayon Temple, the fortified city of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat. All of them are worth the entrance fee alone never mind seeing all three in one day. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and thought our guide was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. A great tour thank you Viator.
