Great experience!!
We had a private tour with Rey and Ny. It was excellent! Worth getting up early to be picked up so we can see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Rey was very knowledgeable. Ny supplied us with cold water and lemon scented clothes to cool down from the heat. a memorable day!

Unforgettable Tour
I had an amazing experience visiting Angkor Wat with our guide Mr. T. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much history and insight that really brought the temples to life.
Beyond that, he was fun, engaging, and made the entire tour enjoyable from start to finish. His passion for what he does truly shows, and it made the experience even more special.
If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend Mr. T—he made our trip unforgettable.

Beautiful sunset views, three temples and lots of education!
We arrived at Angkor Wat before 5:00 a.m., so that we could witness the monument at sunrise. Our guide spoke good English, and taught us quite a bit about Cambodian history. He also took great photos of us. We toured the three main temples, and lunch at a local restaurant. Transportation was provided to and from our hotel. We wished our time in Cambodia was longer, and would definitely recommend this tour!

Best Adventure EVER
Our tour with Mr. Ho Samnang and Esal exceeded all of our expectations. Mr. Ho is both a lover of history and adventurer as are we. We got both our fix of fascinating history and mythology and to run through the jungles taking in the beauty that is Angkor Wat.

Terrific day exploring the Angkor Wat complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia
My exploration of Angkor Wat and other temples in the Angkor complex was amazing. Even though I was here in 2017, this Viator tour guide and our driver made it even better. The guide (Leap) was an encyclopedia of facts and dates. He was able to explain in detail the complex pictograms lining temple walls tgat describe ancient battles and other historical events. I highly recommend him if you can arrange a future visit.

When to visit

Angkor Wat is Cambodia’s most popular attraction, which makes for large crowds; book your tour in advance to guarantee entry.
Angkor Wat is a sacred site for Khmer people, and visitors should dress modestly—to visit the top tier, you must have your upper arms and thighs covered.
At any given time, a limited number of visitors can ascend to the top tier for views of the surrounding landscape.
A lawn in the outer ring has two free-standing roofless libraries that serve as peaceful places to escape the inevitable crowds.
All visitors enter through the west-facing main entrance; from here, the five inner and four outer towers serve as orientation points.
Angkor Watt is not wheelchair accessible.

What is the best month to visit Angkor Wat?
The best months to visit Angkor Wat are between November and April, the dry season in Cambodia. Heat and humidity plummet during this period, which makes exploring the sprawling archaeological complex far more comfortable. For better deals and fewer crowds, visit after the peak holiday season in February or March.
Do you need a tour guide for Angkor Wat?
You don't need a tour guide for Angkor Wat, but you must buy an Angkor Wat ticket in the form of the Angkor Pass. Tours often include transport between the temples, which are pretty far apart.

Is Angkor Wat better in the morning or afternoon?

Avoid midday when the sun reaches its peak.
What do I need to know before going to Angkor Wat?
